  1. That's also possible. Good point.
  2. Yeah, they are really in a crunch now. They'll likely need to keep whoever they bump from the rotation in the bullpen just because they won't be able to clear a 40-man spot for anyone else. De Los Santos can be dropped or DL'd for one spot, but not sure what they'll do if they need a second. It's looking like Murphy and Lalli will both need to be added. Maybe they'll just say screw it and DFA Bianchi.
  3. I think it's more likely now that the last bullpen spot will be taken by whoever is bumped from the rotation. Only because they are currently on the 40-man roster. Won't be able to clear enough spots to add a pitcher on top of whoever needs to be added for the bench. So Figaro might be out of luck due to the Lohse signing.

  5. With Lohse signing, the 40-man is now full. Not sure how they'll clear spots for the 2 or 3 guys they'll need to add.
  6. I officially nominate Kyle Lohse.

  8. I think the best plan is to DL him, hopefully get him right, and then stick him in the pen or rotation if someone has faltered by then. Can't just let him go at this point. That would be a mistake in my opinion.
  9. He's definitely first in line for a call-up if one of the late inning relievers falters. I think he has a bright future in the Brewers bullpen.
  10. ‏@Todd_Rosiak Michael Olmsted optioned to Nashville. #Brewers
  11. @Todd_Rosiak Michael Olmsted optioned to Nashville. #Brewers Down to Hand and Figaro if Rogers doesn't make it, or if they carry 13 pitchers.
  12. I don't understand why they just basically said, well he was bad at 1B in instructionals so we're not even gonna bother trying him there. They should've at least tried again to work with him at 1B this spring. If he failed again, then fine. But it was worth another shot.
  13. I really wish Davis could play 1B. Man would he come in handy right now. Instead he'll just be a bench bat. Either way, he could be valuable.
  14. @Haudricourt #Brewers players love these alternate uniforms so much they'd like to wear them on occasion during season. Would need MLB approval. Would be 7 different uniforms for the Brewers. Seems like too many to me.
  15. Yep, he's got 2. I don't see a scenario where he isn't in the rotation to start the season though. Have a feeling that they'll be using one of those options at some point though. He's the guy that scares me the most in the current rotation honestly. I feel pretty confident with Gallardo, Estrada, and Peralta as the top 3. Narveson should be a solid 5th starter also. I just think Fiers is similar to Collmenter from the D'Backs. He came on strong and had everyone fooled in 2011, and completely tanked last year. Fiers stuff just doesn't project into a long-term successful starter. At least to anywhere near the point he was at last year. My hope is that he'll at least be a solid bottom of the rotation guy like Narveson. I'm very concerned though, and have been all along. I think we'll see Thornburg or Burgos in the rotation before too long. Would be nice if Rogers was throwing better too.
  16. I think the Reds are making a mistake not keeping him as a starter. As has been said, he would have a lot more value as a top of the rotation starter or ace than he does as closer. And this is on top of the fact that they paid Broxton as a closer in the offseason. Chapman is obviously a dominant closer, but not giving him a longer look as a starter just seems short-sighted. I also agree with you PrinceFielderx1 that they should've made him a starter to begin with.
  17. I love The Apprentice. I've watched every season, regular and celebrity. This season has been pretty entertaining so far. I want Omarosa gone, but at the same time all the entertaining drama would be gone if she went. I do get a kick out of Gary Busey though too.
  18. I don't understand RRR's fascination with Gonzalez. I don't really have a problem with him playing some 1B, but he should definitely hit 8th. Gomez and Segura shouldn't be in front of the pitcher right now, because they are base stealing threats. Segura may have to hit 8th when Hart returns, but until then whoever plays 1B should hit there. And Gonzalez shouldn't get all the playing time either.
  19. It's not that hard to get Maldonado at-bats. He can lead off every inning in minor league games. Lucroy has done that since returning from the WBC.
  20. This is ridiculous. Selig is a joke. Saw this tweet that couldn't have said it any better. "I find it funny that in the MLB’s crusade to uphold the integrity of their program, they’re sacrificing more of that integrity in process."
  21. Green has options. So no risk with him.
  22. Haven't gotten mine yet either, so no need to worry. I am getting anxious though.
  23. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/198874281.html Looks like Lalli does have a shot. RRR said he does after the game today.
  24. Keep in mind that RRR loves to use Luc and Maldy as pinch-hitters. Having a 3rd catcher might come in handy in that case. He's actually said that in the past.
