  1. Yeah Gallardo is as good as gone when his contract is up. The way these contracts are trending, Gallardo himself may be getting $25 million when the time comes.
  2. What's the prediction on how many days until the Cards sign Lohse now?
  3. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/3875/corey-hart Looks like Hart is already ahead of schedule. No surprise. He's a fast healer, as he's proven before.
  4. Can't wait till Braun goes yard the first time he faces him.
  5. The thing is that Bianchi will have to be DFA'd if he isn't kept, so I see that increasing his chances a bit.
  6. the wwe is reporting that McMahon has a broken hip and will need surgery. not sure if this is legit or not. definitely sets up triple H's return to TV and a match with Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Definitely not legit, but yeah it definitely sets up HHH coming back. That was pretty obvious. Didn't think it would happen this early though, which makes it more interesting. Also the way it happened makes it interesting too.
  7. I agree with all of this, except I think Bianchi keeps his spot. And I think Green makes it if a FA 1B isn't signed. There's also a chance that only 2 backup IFs are kept, and they go with a 5th OF. But seeing as the options are Gindl and Davis, I think Gamel will just fill that role.
  8. I'd just start having Gonzo play everywhere on the IF. He could even play some 1B if need be. He'd be a lot more valuable if he can gain more and more versatility.
  9. Why can't we carry two middle IF's? Not like that's unheard of.
  10. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal Source: #Brewers sign free-agent SS Alex Gonzalez. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal Gonzalez agreed to a one-year, major-league deal with the #Brewers, source says. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal Alex Gonzalez gets $1.5M from #Brewers plus the chance to earn nearly $1 million in performance bonuses. Love the move. He'll be very valuable off the bench for us.
  11. I think if they thought Morris was ready they would be fine going with Gamel and just limping along until Hart came back with no other solid backup because if something goes wrong with both Gamel and Hart they still can just go with Morris. I mean Gamel is obviously tainted because of the injury so you just don't know his status. If Gamel flops, and Hart's injury lingers or he is traded, I'm sure they'd consider Morris. That just likely isn't a plan for right now for the reasons I stated above. I doubt they'd hesitate later in the season if they felt it was necessary, and Morris was hitting well in AAA.
  12. This is actually good for Braun if he's not on the list, and I think his name would be out if he was. Mainly because it'll help clear his name more. Gotta figure he'd be involved in this if he was legitimately using PED's. Overall, just glad he hasn't been mentioned. The other names really don't surprise me.
  13. This has nothing to do with them not thinking Morris is ready. They just don't wanna blow an option and service time on him for only 2 months, or possibly less. They just want insurance in case Gamel flops, or has a set back, which makes sense. I don't think it's really that necessary, but giving someone a minor league deal really won't affect anything. I think Green could just as easily back-up 1B if need be. I would've been in favor of getting Maldonado some work at 1B, and carrying a 3rd catcher like Kottaras preferably. But that ship has sailed.
  14. Loved the ending of Raw tonight! Heyman is in fact the leader of Maddox and The Shield, and then Lesnar comes out and F-5's McMahon. Seems like this could be a huge faction, and it's awesome!
  15. I agree. Predictable doesn't make it bad, but they could've done a lot better job with the finish of the Rock/Punk match. I think Punk should've kicked out of the People's Elbow and then lost to the Rock Bottom. I actually wish they had just skipped the whole Shield angle. It was kind of stupid. Rock/Cena 2 is already damaged by the fact that they billed their first matchup as "Once in a Lifetime." So I have no idea what they'll do this time. We'll have to wait and see. But I agree that Punk/Taker should be awesome. I really don't have a problem with predictable as long as it's all booked right and comes off well. A lot of things in wrestling are predictable. Just how it is. The Rock being champ is really good for the business. Cena winning is obviously a lot less necessary, but it is what it is.
  16. I marked out big time for Jericho. That was awesome! I loved when the, "You've still got it!" chants started, and Jericho yelled out, "I never lost it baby!" That was pretty funny. I hope he's back through WrestleMania. I'd love to see him wrestle Ziggler on the grandest stage of them all. Hope it happens.
  17. No, the fans only had 1 of the 8 votes I think it was.
  18. I wasn't wowed by any of them. So wouldn't have been surprised by any of the 3 winning. I like the barrel man hat on this one. That's about it though. I did vote for it.
  19. I think the Braves and Nats may be the two best teams in baseball, not just the NL. It's a shame that they are in the same division, so one of them will be forced into a 1-game wildcard playoff. Showing the flaw in the new playoff system.
  20. What did Tampa get for Price. I can't believe I didn't hear about it Price wasn't traded. It was Shields.
  21. I'd like to see Bianchi as well, but if he can't beat out Crosby then he doesn't deserve the job anyway. Might as well have a many options as possible though. Still would like Gonzalez as others said. If he can be had of course.
  22. Alright, thanks a lot for the info. I appreciate it! Looking forward to that arriving!
  23. Does anyone here remember when partial season ticket holders usually get Opening Day ticket purchasing info? For some reason I feel that I should've gotten it already, but maybe I just have Opening Day fever.
  24. I believe it's 10 days. I don't see them going that route though, because he could recover quicker than expected like last year. Wouldn't want to have him sitting out longer than needed.
  25. The obvious solution is to trade for Mark Kotsay. Lol. Or get Kapler out of retirement.
