  1. Ok guys, lets calm down. No need for anyone to be pissing each other off. Getting back to the topic........ listachrides is my new favorite forum handle.
  2. really impressed with fiers poise after he gave up that run. also, he looks kinda like ufc fighter mike swick.
  3. morris will be the brewers best position prospect if he lowers his k:bb rate to 2.5:1. he has good power, hits for a good average and might be a teixeira type 1b.
  4. Can castellanos play short? We're already overpaying A-ram and have a good 3b playing 1b. I like that kid alot. I met him when he was with w Michigan, really nice kid and a hell of a ballplayer but i dont know if he is who We should be targeting.
  5. What do you think the chances of some combination of Gallo or roache and rahier or Russell for the 27 and 28 picks. I'm not usually one to follow prep players so I'm not all that familiar with many of these kids but I've seen a lot of mocks with a combination of these 4 available for the brewers(my preference would be Gallo and rahier). I liked what I've seen and heard of them. It really doesn't sound like many of this years ss prospects will be staying at short.
  6. i think he deserves a day off now and then. there cant be a more difficult position then catcher.
  7. i could really care less about a .291 obp from a guy that hit 29 hrs and 87 rbis. sure those random nerd numbers are great and all but runs are what wins games. those were his rookie stats. he was only 25 last year. he struck out 5x more then he walked last year but so far this year he is 23k/9bb. not bad as far as i'm concerned.
  8. ROUGH contract. i would stay FAR away from him.
  9. i want the brewers to trade for trumbo really badly. he can hit a mile but cant play 3b a lick- which is the only spot the angels have for him. if they want a back up catcher, we have pretty much the best one. they need a closer, we have two. go for trumbo and jean segura and we have 1b and ss covered. move gamel to the of(sorry mat). i dont see them moving bourjos since torii hunters contract is up after this season. they dont need trumbo since cj cron will be the dh of the future.
  10. Greinke/k-rod/half of k-rods salary for profar and barret loux
  11. You're insane if you wouldn't trade hart for machado. Its hardly filling one hole by creating another since of is the only position the brewers have any depth at and machado is a top 10 prospect who many think will be the next a-rod and they have nothing for shortstops. Id be good with hart and thornberg or peralta for machado.
  12. pm sent
  13. i could use the sheets
  14. i think i saw some like that last season at kohls. they are not knockoffs or anything like that- just "fashion" jerseys.
  15. anyone else think its crazy that they drew over 38k on a tuesday night against the astros?
  16. he's worth more to his role on the team then he would get in the trade market. i wouldnt look to move him.
  17. I think he's doing a great job so far. 3 stolen bases is nice too. His swing reminds me of Russel the muscle.
  18. Ill give you a surhoff for it.
  19. I was listening to the radio broadcast of sundays game kinda heard them mention something about a signing at the pontiac convention center but wasnt able to make much out because of the static. Anyone else hear anything?
  20. my wife and i were just talking about how crappy the bobbles have been the last couple years- they look nothing like the player. they have gone down hill since the 2007 series.
  21. I heard the owners like Houston energy. That is the worst idea ever. It sounds like aa wnba team or a girls dance squad.
  22. lopez being in the brewers system scares me- his ceiling may be too high for our org to develop him properly. i wish we could trade him to the rays or braves and get him back in 3 years
  23. i thought this was interesting from mlbtr Mike Salk of ESPN 710 Radio in Seattle outlines the reasons why he "loves" the deal for the Mariners. Also from Salk (on Twitter), he hears from "a non-M's baseball guy" who believes Noesi is a better long-term option than Pineda noesi better then pineda? montero is a stud and if he catches for a couple years then dh or 1b it cant be bad. montero/smoak/ackley/franklin/seager make a tough infield in a couple years. i dont think it takes them out of the market for fielder either. fielder can be at 1b until montero cant catch anymore then they can split 1b and dh. i'm sure they'd have no problem moving smoak.
