  1. Rodgers is a baby. If half this stuff is true, just trade him for a 7th rounder to hurt his feelings and move on. I'm over the guy personally and could do without any of the impending headache, again, if this stuff is close to true. If there's any truth to him wanting BG fired, trade him yesterday.
  2. I'm surprised the Packers have said as much about this as they have.
  3. Even last year, the viewing experience was best on plain old cable in my opinion. Just the simple turn on TV and it's there is always best. But everyone has a price on what that's worth and to me it's worth about 1/20th if what they charge.
  4. It used to be my understanding, now it's my hope. He looks so, so bad, that I'm more concerned we have the next great flame-out on our hands.
  5. Ryan probably is. He definitely has the stats, he's got an MVP, he's got some Pro Bowls and he played in a Super Bowl. If Rivers is in which I think he probably is, I think Ryan is too. Dak is still really young, obviously wouldn't be one if he retired today but if he continues his current trajectory he can get there. Matt Ryan isn't going to the Hall. His legacy is blowing a Super Bowl win. He has arguably less credibility than Stafford around the league. Dak has a shot but had to do something. Pretty stats aren't what they used to be. You get benched if you throw 30 TDs and aren't efficient enough. But that wasn't my point anyway. If the rest of the team is good enough your QB can be a glorified role player as long as he doesn't lose games. If he gets in, Stafford will, Rivers will, etc. I guess it remains to be seen how the stst pretty era gets treated. My inclination is that Brady has changed things and made rings more heavily weighed.
  6. You’re there? That stinks to pick this one when most others have been such good games. I'm there as well and can't leave for at least 2 hours lol
  7. I just want to say something. Love doesn't have to be an all-time great to make moving on to him a good idea or the right move for the team. He could be as good as Dak Prescott or Matt Ryan or something and they could still have a lot of success.
  8. Probably cost us the Super Bowl, even though the replacements played very well before Tampa and we didn't really have a lack of depth. But in the very end we didn't have enough.
  9. Myers scouting report: "doesn't play with great pad level." Mike McCarthy hates the pick.
  10. That is what makes me not care that much if Rodgers leaves, just tired of losing in the playoffs every year. I don't think Rodgers is that much to blame, we just struggle to build a defense that can get past average, but after this last loss I am not sure I believe we will ever win another with him. I addition to this weird QB circus happening all over again the 2 QBs had remarkably similar careers, an early Super Bowl followed by countless playoff failures. May as well start over with Love, it will make for an interesting season that's for sure. Kind of how I feel. Rodgers's play certainly isn't to blame. But his contract might be. I'm open to trying something new.
  11. I think people are a smidge worked up about this. It's just a guy with a lot of experience getting a spot start. Anybody can have a nice game or two. If they felt they had a better option, they'd take it. And before I get ahead of myself, is he starting Sunday or what?
  12. If you look at the best defenses in the NFL, any of the realistic landing spots have already invested in somebody else. He doesn't really have a card to play here if the Packers just say deal with it. Except retiring.
  13. I'm beginning to wonder how much he cares about winning a title. I think he cares, a lot, but I am less convinced it's priority #1. It may be as far down as #4.
  14. He won't retire even if he wants to because the Packers would probably be OK with that and he isn't going to let that go. He'd come in, play, and just be a pain in the butt off the field before he ever did that.
  15. It's fair to point out Rodgers got hurt and then looked good, but by no means great, the following 2 years. If that decline had continued or stayed about where he was, it wouldn't be so crazy to trade him now. The Packers were prepared for him to keep getting worse, but then he got a whole lot better. He may not even be in this position if he had played better for those 2 seasons. There were other issues going on, and he was by no means bad, but it's hard to fault the team if a) they REALLY liked Love and b) they weren't sure Rodgers was merely in a funk. There were plenty of people who thought Rodgers was zeroing in on 1 or 2 players and dancing around for way too long in '18 and even '19, and even questioning what happened to his accuracy. But it's not like the team drafted Love on the heels of superstar performance. He wasn't looking that great.
  16. The Mark Schlereth bit is interesting. Rodgers texted him after he'd gone on the radio and said Rodgers was going to Denver. He asked who his source was. Schlereth asked if it was true and Rodgers said "I'll let you know when I know." Sounds like negotiating ploy to me.
  17. FWIW, multiple players on the team seemed to mock these reports last night on Twitter.
  18. That "stat" is one that drives me crazy. I hate facts like that when they completely ignore context. Don't you think they might have drafted one in the first round if they didn't draft Jennings, Nelson, Cobb and Adams all AFTER the first round? The story should be that they had those WRs without using a first round pick.
  19. Here's something I really don't understand and just seems like making noise just to make noise. -Rodgers wants clear help to get a title -Rodgers just won MVP throwing near 50 TDs to the best WR in the league, MVS who looked REALLY good at the end of the year, Tonyan and Lazard who I think is a decent depth option. They bring back TD machine Aaron Jones and have AJ Dillon. They have the best LT in football. -CB is arguably the worst spot on the team after Alexander. At the least it was a major position of need and a clear attempt to immediately make the team better... "They're doing nothing to help Rodgers!" Am I just losing my mind or does anyone else feel that none of this narrative makes sense? And if Rodgers refused to restructure and demanded an extension, that's fine, but he can't whine about lack of personnel then. If any of this is true it's like he doesn't even know what he actually wants.
  20. I had been using my dad's fox sports go to catch a couple games but that suddenly changed to a Bally app that I can't get to work for the life of me. At this point I'm content with radio when I can catch it. I just don't watch enough TV to justify any service. I have a free MLB.tv app but I don't even want to pay for a VPN. It's one of those things that sounds good, then once I get it I use twice a year.
  21. He won't get traded this year. I just can't see it. If Rodgers had a little diva tantrum it was likely to get them to sign him or make some big move. He'll be a good soldier and show up when it's time to play. That John Lynch was so dismissive about their attempt tells me it's not even a consideration from the Packers. It does feel more likely to me than ever that he will be elsewhere sooner than later though.
  22. Rodgers should be happy they draft defense. He threw 50 touchdowns. A year 1 WR getting 300 yards isn't the missing piece.
  23. King will be on the field a ton next season. With this kind of speed, assuming it's not Ahmad Carroll, this guy can move around the field. He'll probably be in the slot a lot and King will remain outside. Two starting corners is kind of semantics. It's not that common you only have 2 on the field and if you do, it's entirely possible one is Kevin King to start the year.
