  1. No, Crappy special teams coach who got an interim HC gig, coincidentally won a few games, nobody bit on him to HC, so his friend hired him to coach ST again.
  2. Time for Matt to fire one of his buddies. You need to be able to block on FGs. Ridiculous. That unit has been a dumpster fire since day one.
  3. The OL isn't good, I think we can say that. There is no room at all between the tackles, that has been consistent all 4 games. But the Packers have been able to develop their OL midseason before and find a groove. Obviously guys being hurt doesn't help, but someone is going to be hurt all year.
  4. Which is very bad?...Guess you missed our last field goal. Edit: Last 2. Can't believe it's this hard for you to admit the Packers absolutely sucked last week and played one of the most humiliating 4th quarters in franchise history. Giving yourself a short field is part of the game, not just some random event that takes place, especially when it's happening 3-4 times a game. The Browns are not a good team and there's a reason that's happened to them twice in four weeks. It's a fair question as to why the Packers couldn't do a thing all day.
  5. And yet, I don't have any faith the Packers would have put the ball in the end zone with similar circumstances. Also, if Baltimore and Detroit are putting them in those situations with regularity, why didn't we? We completely stunk, that's why.
  6. Time to just say the Packers blew chunks and the Browns defense really isn't that great. We can gymnastics things any way we like but their opponents have scored 41 and 34 points to sandwich the Packers who looked completely inept. Short fields and turnovers, ok, but those teams moved the ball a lot better than we did.
  7. I still think people are being a bit dramatic. Everyone knows these last few weeks haven't had much riding on them. I still think this team is completely capable of a deep run. A week off is exactly what they need.
  8. At this point I'm thinking we win the World Series because nobody likes this team right now.
  9. It was a very silly assumption after 1 game especially when we have seen the Packers lose by 30 in Week 1 to Jameis Winston. The division will be the same dogfight it has been. That we drew them Week 1 at home was a generous gift from the NFL. I think we're definitely better suited to push for first this year, but I was skeptical from the get-go that we were this unstoppable force.
  10. Let me slow things down for you. I said the 1 was pretty much locked up. Today, this morning. You said I was hedging my bet by saying it was "pretty much" locked up, I guess rather than saying it was a sure thing? I said I would bet a grand on it. You asked me if I did. I said that I wasn't aware of any place where you could place such a bet. It does not make much sense asking if I had actually placed the bet, or accusing me of hedging the bet, when I can't actually place the bet, does it? There's one context it which it does make some sense, one in which you're trying to be a smart ass. I will take the bet right here with you though. I'll even make it drastic in your favor. I'll send you $100 if the Brewers don't get the 1 seed. You can send me $1 if they do.
  11. I haven't seen a place that lets you put wagers on seeds. If some place actually let you do that today, since your thesis is that I'm hedging a bet on something I said today, I would. I don't think there's a book in the world that would take that bet, but you can keep on being a douche about it.
  12. Is it a crazy idea that he is passively trying to throw LAD into a Wild Card spot?
  13. That offense owns October and we won't have one. I think there is still a school of thought that you can Moneyball your way through a regular season due to the quantity of games and all the random stuff teams have to do just to get through a season. You can win games on the margin if you are stealing a run here or there against somebody's Sunday lineup, their backup catcher, spot starter, etc. When the best teams are left and they can throw all the artillery at 10 games, it is almost not even the same sport. That is where your 6 guys making $20+ million shine through. If we have the Mendoza All Stars going in a week, we're done.
  14. I think this should help tell which version of the Packers is closer to reality, the one that got hyped to storm through the NFC, or an overrated team that is not all that different from what it's been the last few seasons. The Lions game kinda looks like aberration after seeing Detroit the last couple weeks. It counts all the same as a divisional game the Packers earned, but I am not convinced we're really that superior to them yet.
  15. Again, I ask: How is anyone supposed to know what fan is buying the ticket? You have yet to answer this question. So I can re-sell my tickets, but only to people in my inner circle that identify as Brewers fans? And when those people say no? Or are only willing to pay half of face value? What then? I just eat the loss so that a "true fan" can go? 🤣 If they don't want people like me selling, that is not a very big problem as I don't possess any of the tickets. However, you'd be wrong, as they constantly beg me to re-up and spend thousands again. I think that's what they care about most.
  16. Uh, the 1 seed was met with a lot of indifference. If you think there wasn't panic about the division, you weren't here much. "Hedged my bet"? What are you even babbling about? I'd put a grand on the Brewers being the 1 seed. Edit: NVM I get it. You were one of the guys freaking out about the end of the world so you're just salty about being wrong. Got it.
  17. That pretty much locks down the 1 seed. An awful lot of panic over both the division and the 1 and neither really ever came that close to slipping away. If we do end up playing Philly I am very glad we get to open at home.
  18. If we weren't limping into the playoffs there would still be a week off between the season and playoffs. Whatever we're doing in game 162 is very unlikely to have anything to do with the playoffs. If we were red hot and suddenly not, we'd have people blaming the bye. I can't imagine how tired the players are at this point of the year. A few consecutive days off sounds heavenly. Line up with a rested group and hopefully play your best baseball. But I am not really worried about what we're seeing right now.
  19. I think cherry picking the opponent is a total waste of energy. Philly and LA are juggernauts if they want to be. Chicago is high emotional stakes, but imagine the joy of winning. I don't get wanting to avoid that. You're the best or you aren't. Bring it on.
  20. Yeah, I think this exists more in your head than anywhere else. I am sure they're literally smiling less, because you don't tend to smile after losing. I think you're drawing correlation without causation here. I'm not buying that the 1-seeded Brewers are sauntering around the clubhouse because their patchwork teams have lost some games. If they were that weak they wouldn't have bounced back from where they were at the end of April.
  21. Yeah. They need to win a series. That's my floor. It'll be disappointing to lose in the NLCS again, but everybody but one ends the year disappointed. I believe that if we keep doing this, we'll break through eventually. I think the stars are somewhat aligned for us this year as well as they're ever going to be, but baseball is a brutal game.
  22. Not as unpopular as you think. You're living in the country with the highest percentage of teetotalers in its adult population, and it's growing among young people.
  23. Why do you keep saying this? The playoff strip can potentially encompass 11 home games in like a month. There are a million reasons somebody wouldn't be able to go to all of those games that have nothing to do with affordability. That's a 4-6 hour round trip for some of us. You're talking about a professional baseball game, not clean drinking water. You're not entitled to go for cheap because you're a "big fan." 😂 These games also don't have the resale power you seen to think they do. There's barely been interest in the NLDS the last couple times we played in it.
  24. You understand that any fan can go in tomorrow and buy tickets, right? What I anticipate happening is that Cubs fans will buy as many as they can. If the Cubs don't advance, they'll dump them. It's a silly post. The secondary market has existed on the Internet for 20 years. Every stadium has opposing fans in it. It's not that deep. If I got to a game and sat next to a Phillies fan I'd probably say hello and talk about the times I've spent in Philadelphia. If there are visiting fans there, not enough Brewers fans wanted to be there. Pretty simple.
  25. Except that I never actually mentioned you. I don't think it's realistic at all to expect any SSH to attend every home playoff game if the Brewers played through to a World Series. And I didn't say anything about not being able to afford it, either. It's not that complicated. If you want your SSH seat for a World Series game, you are pretty much forced to buy the strip. You can't chance the presales. I don't think the Brewers expect you're going to all those games yourself. I don't even live within an hour of the stadium. Point is that you're taking something filled with nuance and making it black and white when it isn't. There's a reason the Brewers don't penalize selling the strip games. It's a completely different thing to participate in a presale and sell your tickets. A strip you committed $4-5k to is yours to do what you want. I can very easily turn this around on you and tell anyone crying about it to pony up for a 20 pk if it bothers them so much. But they won't do that, will they? You get on this high horse every October. How is someone supposed to know what fans they sold to? There is no checked box on StubHub requiring someone to be a Brewers fan. You list the tickets and they sell. Sounds like a Brewers fan problem if someone from Philadelphia is willing to fly out here, get a hotel and go to a game. Brewers fans can buy the same ticket and spend a lot less.
