  1. I think they went this route because they can't guarantee anybody tickets, even SSH.
  2. No, and agree it is weird. Very.
  3. Don't think anybody knows. The fact that they are limiting SSH to one game makes me think it is extremely limited. Total guess would be you might get SRO if you get into the system.
  4. To sell out any venue for anything charging ~$100 a seat you need to have mass appeal to casual fans who can afford to do that. Most people can't. That fire goes way down when they start losing games even in a situation like this. Looks like I will be taking a loss on Game 6 too. If there is a bright side to the recent slide it is that a lot of fans will get to go who otherwise wouldn't. Crowd should be just fine either way.
  5. They are nosediving, so this is what I expected for prices to Game 6. Enthusiasm is down + fatigue setting in. One win will change that and Game 7 will skyrocket. If we were up 3-2 and Friday was a clinch game prices would be 2x what they are.
  6. If there is any booing I think it will be during a meltdown in the game. I fully expect if this game ends 13-5 LA or something, the Brewers will at some point get a standing ovation from the crowd.
  7. NLDS I was near the field and stood half the time. NLCS Game 1 was different, there seemed to be more tension. I was in club for that and people kept shouting at other to sit down, which frankly is annoying to me. If someone in front of you stands, stand. This isn't opera nor is it your living room. I think tomorrow night will be rocking, but shift quickly to doom & gloom if they surrender runs early etc. If they take an early lead it will be electric. This is the most important game for the Brewers to grab an early lead this year. I won't be going and gave my tickets to my boss but will go if there is a G7. Just too much travel back and forth and watching baseball the last 3 weeks, and I live an hour away. I have neglected family the last few weeks, and when the best outcome is a tied series I would rather just catch that at home and save the time. These games are like 8 hour commitments with how long I have been stuck in the lot afterwards. I'm guessing my attendance plan is a popular plan among those with tickets to both games but there should be no problem filling the place. Should be a lot of good deals for tickets for Friday.
  8. Historically speaking we are still about 50/50. It will feel much more plausible if they force Game 7, which I expect them to do. They should have their best bullpen strategy primed to go and there is actually hope in this one unlike 2011 when we threw a zombie on the mound for no apparent reason.
  9. Well it is definitely getting put to bed, one way or another.
  10. Also think it's odd the journal sentinel knew before they contacted SSH. Almost like they know people will be really upset and shortened the window between details and the sale, so there is no time to complain. Guessing most people will gun for Game 4 on Saturday.
  11. Aguilar was a strong candidate to be traded when he was on his high. If he kept it up, I think that's a very typical example of someone you sell high on. I think that opportunity is gone. He will end up being a journeyman 1B stopgap type guy. But I doubt you get much for him after his second half.
  12. He should go really crazy with tomorrow's line up. Bat Miley lead off and Yelich 8th, toss Braun at 9 and Aguilar and 2nd. There's no game, so who really cares.
  13. It takes one game for the offense to get going. It's baseball. It looks bad, but let's grieve when they are dead. They are still alive for now. The Astros faced this with NYY in 2017.
  14. If you sat everyone who's sucked at the plate we'd have 3 position players.
  15. Woodruff is a stud.
  16. Interesting that you get only one game. There is your incentive for buying the strip.
  17. That's baloney. The patchwork rotation worked, again. They stopped scoring. I knew this would be the annoying hot take of the talking heads. Their staff strategy worked all year and worked again.
  18. They did go down 5-1 but Lucroy knocked one out to make it 5-4. I just remember that being a dead crowd that sensed what was to come. It was a really lame game to attend. And Marcum starting didn't help.
  19. 10 days out from date of game.
  20. I just hope the Crowd for Game 6 is behind them. They were not in 2011.
  21. No manager choice wins this series. They stopped hitting the ball. That is it.
  22. I'm oddly more optimistic after this mess. The pressure is off. Everyone expects failure at this point and the Brewers are left for dead. They go into Game 6 with some house money. Everyone is expecting another one of these, so maybe they can show up. Just force another one and anything can happen. This is one played out exactly how I'd feared though.
  23. Least disappointing game. Really predictable, and to have a prayer this team badly needs a day off and a warm reception at home. Have no faith in the offense to do anything but we can pray.
  24. I'm not as tense for this game for whatever reason. I guess I see it going 7 either way so im not really hung up on the outcome.
  25. Agree. That's why I said I'd have green lighted Braun on 3-0. Post AS Break Aguilar is not that great.
