2018: 14 appearances, only 1 with more than 1 base on balls. Yes, but the anxiety isn't without merit. He's rarely come on this year and really blown me away. Does anybody feel as good with him out there as they do Hader and Jeffress? Even all-star Knebel was often a rollercoaster ride. -
I really haven't liked Knebel either, tbh. Would feel loads better if we get one across here.

Rizzo sure running his mouth, cannot believe he wasn't tossed. Want to see the replay but that call looked awful to me.

Wilson's having trouble so the bunt is sort of an assist to him, coupled with a part of the order that very well may not get that run in anyway. I think you had a much better chance of seeing a bunt if Cain/Yelich were coming up to hit. I think the idea was try to give three separate bad hitters a chance at a base hit instead of two. Didn't work but it didn't bother me. That's life when you have multiple pitchers hitting.

The Brewers need to do better than this but a lot of teams have trouble scoring on the Cubs. They are +90 for a reason. We have to do better but you have to tip your hat. It's a great team.

Yeah, Hader. I don't see a reason to handle him with kid gloves. He had a sloppy outing and then a day off. He should be fine pitching today.

I couldn't have been more wrong on how productive Chacin has been. Really has been a huge addition.

This game sold a lot better than the previous two night games. I don't think these are necessarily Milwaukee-area fans. It's that the day game allows people to get back to CHI for dinner instead of 1am.

The Cubs fan fly ball thing has been the case for at least over a decade and has always mystified me. The only theory I've drummed up is that they rarely if ever see the Cubs play live, so they have to come to Milwaukee for it and therefore don't know how to judge fly balls at all.

I think that's only going to work if you're out of market. I don't have cable but I've watched every game on Reddit. It's...not legal but it's HD.

Literally one six-game winning streak where the offense scores 5+ per, and this conversation would stop. I love baseball. I personally am glad they fell out of first now. I didn't expect them to hold it or end the year there, but I don't want that kind of days-in-first-place stat floating around. If they make the playoffs as any seed it's going to be absolute dogfight. I expected this. Just get to September with a chance. That's all I can ask. -
Changing the prices of tickets will do a thing. This is a simple numbers game. A very tiny fan base from a small market up against possibly the league's largest fan base from a gigantic metro area that practically spills into its own. They will always be at the games. The subject is so played out.

That game was lost IMO when Perez doubled with 0 out and we stranded him, not sure that another hitter even made contact. That can't happen. We needed that run. Our bullpen has been so good that we are quick to point fingers at it when it falters, the offense so consistently bad that we barely notice it anymore. The offense can't continually expect the bullpen to be lockdown every night. This team would probably be under .500 if the bullpen hadn't been lights out. They need to score more runs. They need Thames back, and maybe some external talent.

I live a 3 hour drive from Miller Park and still go to 5-6 games a year. I have a family of 5 with two toddlers and I am the sole income provider for the 5 of us at about 60 hours a week. This is the most I can afford to invest in both time and money. Hope it is okay with you. Don’t go down this hole with him. He seems to be permanently stuck down there on a few issues and wants to drag as many as he can. I’ve nicknamed him Pennywise for myself to remind myself to just laugh at 99% of this crap. He's getting a little ridiculous. A few years ago he'd have been banned by now.

My understanding of MLB hitting coaches is that they really don't do anything with veteran players. The hitting coach isn't walking up to Miguel Cabrera and saying, "Hey, you've got to change this." That's just not how it works. If a slumping player approaches him it's another story but I highly, highly doubt he had anything to do with that. They provide some data about opposing pitchers but they are not really involved in the mechanics as a lot of fans seem to think. Everybody on an MLB roster knows how to swing a bat or they wouldn't be there. Except Arcia. Players have to approach the subject for any kind of mechanical thing most of the time. Generally they are left to work through it because that's how most of them want to do it. -
There is no mental hurdle. They hit better than we do, and if we have the best bullpen, theirs is a close second. They're really good and winning most of these games against us without scoring many runs. The Brewers are good and stuck with the most talented NL team in their own division, unfortunate, but have to start finding ways to beat them.
