  1. Suter really looks like he's questioning the meaning of life.
  2. Pina is the team's biggest problem right now. The "calls a great game" stuff has been largely debunked, not only is he not hitting but his approach is terrible. I'm sure they exhaust all options. It is but a dream but Realmuto would look nice, albeit not at the price of Hiura that he'd require.
  3. It helps, but it isn't fixed because those guys, other than Miller, play at spots where there is already production. Miller playing really well would be fantastic, but you still lose Arcia's glove.
  4. It's been obvious for a while now that a bat is a more pressing need than an SP. Braun seems to be getting it going a bit at least.
  5. 12 games over .500 and Anderson and Davies have been trash. Just like we drew it up!
  6. I missed last night's game completely, just tuned into this one and saw Keon Broxton running out of CF. Major what the heck moment.
  7. Has there ever been a no-no at Miller Park? I remember Verlander embarrassing us but think it was away.
  8. Suter works his ass off. That's a guy that absolutely never takes a second of the game off. He also did this That's the best play I've ever seen a P make in the field at any level.
  9. I don't think the organization is giving a lick of consideration to this season with regard to him coming back, thus the conflicting reports on when he'd return. They want the shoulder at 100%, not an Aaron Rodgers with screws in situation. If he happens to be 100% on August 18th that's what happens. If not he won't play, and I don't think they care. They are proceeding as if he isn't an option this year.
  10. Aguilar is who he is. He OPS'd 800+ last year in his first real time. Now he plays regularly and he is better. I don't know why people are still waiting for him to fall off a cliff. He won't.
  11. Yeah, I didn't see what was "ridiculous" in his comment. 1/3 of the lineup can't get a base hit. So you need half the lineup to rake on any given night.
  12. This team needs a bat. This is not a funk, it's who the team is.
  13. I don't think being skeptical of Chase Anderson qualifies as throwing crap at a wall. I think it was probably far, far more likely that this type of season happened than he'd repeat last year's anomaly. It's essentially been a wash since he and Chacin are pitching like a lot of people inversely expected them to.
  14. I was wrong on a lot preseason (Chacin) but I was pretty accurate with Chase. I was expecting a 4.00 ERA season from him. I think his best baseball for 2018 is ahead of him, but anybody that really thought this guy was a sub 3 starter was dreaming. He's just not that guy. I believe at one point yesterday the Phils had 6 runs on 6 hits with 0 LOB. Sometimes there's a very fine line between a good and bad outing.
  15. Great pitching performance. Especially 7-8-9, wow. Huge series win. Let's keep this rolling.
