  1. I suppose he's something of an insurance policy since Adams is one hit away from retirement. But there are still some names out there that can probably do that without the potential headache.
  2. Or he's an unnecessary 1-year development block for the younger WRs already on the roster who are better athletes than Bryant, who turns 30 this season and was never a real blazing speed guy. Isn't Jimmy Graham supposed to be the great red zone target? Adams has turned into a really good player, he could, and is a likely candidate, to really bust out this season. Cobb, who I don't really like, is still on the team too. How many WRs do we really need? I'd much rather see more opportunities for someone like Allison, who has really flashed some promise at times especially before Rodgers was injured. I don't really like any part of Dez Bryant in Green Bay. I'm not being the cantankerous old guy who doesn't Randy Moss. I just think Dez has really dropped off and isn't really going to help them be a better offense.
  3. LOL, I'm surprised nobody has commented on this yet. I just picture Mr. Olajuwon shaving. I'm dead
  4. I care. If 5% or 90% were using PEDs I would still care. It's against the rules, and not fair to those players who don't want to abuse their bodies. We know, man, we know.
  5. People get very attached to big names. This guy was cut because he could no longer win one-on-ones. I don't think he helps them much at all with the long, fast roster they appear to be trying to build anyway.
  6. I couldn't care less about the money on a 1 year deal, it's the malcontent that is a risk with very little reward. Dez Bryant is arguably not even the best WR the Packers have if on the roster. I personally don't think he's better than Adams at this point in both of their careers. They can achieve the same results with what they have. If he played OLB or CB I would consider taking on the risk but he doesn't.
  7. Count me out on Dez Bryant. Beside the fact that he has very obviously dropped off, that is Martellus Bennett waiting to repeat itself. The Packers lose one game where he has 2 catches for 17 yards and we have a malcontent for the season. No thank you, Rodgers doesn't need elite WRs. Adams is good and good enough for their offense to excel.
  8. Predict that Braun has about a month where he flat-out carries the offense.
  9. No one would care about Saladino's bat if the rest of the offense was playing how it's supposed to. If they want offense out of 2B they might as well give Rickie Weeks a call. Maybe he has some Miller Park magic left. I'm kidding but he can't be worse.
  10. Villar is by far their best option at 2B. I wish he would just play every day. Yes I know he isn't good but their other options aren't major league players. Maybe Villar isn't either but he sort of looks like one on his best day.
  11. I am extremely pleased with how things are going. They are sitting 18-13 with an offense that has played pretty terribly for stretches and the SP has been better than anyone could have hoped. I expect the SP to regress and the offense to get better as the season moves along. If they get decent production from Nelson they should be playing meaningful ball at the end which is all I really wanted out of this season. It's a long season, nothing has me panicked right now. This team has been exceptional against everybody but Chicago and I don't think they're going to score 0 or 1 run every time they play them. They're getting very battle tested in a lot of close games too.
  12. I want him in the role he's in but would like to see him a start a game and go for the K record.
  13. He started at Vanderbilt as a safety and moved to hyrbid and then to ILB. Not sure where he fits on the Packers but I'm guessing ILB, though the Packers as we know are a BPA team, or have been in the past. Really he could be an athletic infusion at LB, where they have some talent but not much athelticism, but he could very well have been drafted as S depth. Or they just think he's good and want to see whwere he fits best.
  14. There's this guy named Kamara, not sure if folks have heard of him. I heard he's a pretty good RB. And he won't do a thing to save them if Brees is hurt.
  15. As I've said I don't follow college at all so I have to research the guys as they're picked. But Hawkeyes have been great for the Packers and all seem to be tough players. So I'm happy to see another.
  16. I mean, that hasn't really worked for us yet but here's hoping
  17. Do you honestly think this is a championsip caliber team? A playoff caliber team? If so, what makes you think that? History? I never said they were fake. What they are is average. I don't understand why this is so hard for some to wrap their heads around? Who thinks that? I think it's a rising team with a chance to push for a wild card. That's my goal for 2018.
  18. Holy overreactions. We're suddenly "fake" because we lost two games to the Cubs by 2 runs? Good teams find a way to win these games? The season is 162 games long. I'm pretty sure good teams lose a lot of these games along the way. Good grief.
  19. There isn't a reason for him to be on the roster. Saladino is a better defender if that's what they want.
  20. Sogard's outta here when some guys come off the DL. Idk how he stays.
  21. Yeah, that is the reason for it, but I got pretty tired of watching AJ Hawk trail tight ends too.
