  1. Such an odd statement that I can't let it go without asking for clarification. What are you basing this on? The Packers' historical bad luck with FA TE's? Graham has played in 15 or 16 of 16 games in all but one of his eight seasons so far. It isn't odd at all. He spent half of 2015 on IR and he played the entirety of last season on a bad ankle that was probably a lot more injured than he ever let on because he knew he was headed to FA. It was one of many reasons people speculated his production was so much worse along with some others that were beyond his control. He is tough as nails and doesn't get credit for it because he's known as a finesse player, and he rarely misses time. But he sure doesn't dodge injuries the way other players do. He's been badly hampered by injuries 2 of the last 3 seasons and is in the twilight of his career, so I don't think it's at all unlikely he misses a few games with minor injuries this season. The Packers are among the most cautious teams in the league with player injuries. I think he's still a productive player but given his recent problems and age I'd be a lot more comfortable with the depth they now have.
  2. The Brewers haven't had any postponed games that I can recall this season. They've played 5 more games than the Cubs, 4 more games than the Cardinals, which is a pretty considerable amount of extra rest the rest of the way.
  3. I'm not really sure but I just think the book is out on him. Rodgers seems to like him. He got off to a solid start last year and without Nelson I thought he'd only get more chances. Look at the one game Rodgers returned in at the end of the season, he threw at him 8 times. He did fumble and essentially seal the loss but for whatever reason Rodgers seems to trust him. I also remember him having a big game in the divisional game in Dallas a couple seasons ago. He just seems like a traditional no-name draft pick that ends up carving out a career in GB. Rookie WRs rarely do much of anything, so I think he has a considerable leg up on the newer guys. I wouldn't be shocked to see him emerge as a 2/3 this season.
  4. I like Lewis because it is likely Graham gets hurt and if he does there is nothing behind him. I'm a little surprised people are somewhat dismissive of Allison. I thought he was really showing something when Rodgers got injured. Everything after that is a wash to me.
  5. The Brewers need to stay away from this and hope Arcia can stop OPS-ing .500. Sabathia was a rental that got them into the playoffs, there is nothing to suggest that Machado will be the difference between them making it or not and he has no chance at all to come back next season. It is too much to give up unless we get a fantasy deal where we do something like only send Santana, but that's not going to happen. I know that run differential doesn't look great for the Brewers but to me that is not a real alarm bell. The team with the best bullpen in the league can afford to play close games, they are playing to their strengths and until that stops working in a big way I don't see a reason for this type of deal.
  6. SALADINOMITE and his crew are the fastest team to 31 wins in franchise history.
  7. If what they needed was to not score any runs in the 3rd, then you are correct Ugh I'm sorry.. I just can't get excited... or NOT be negative with the trash he throws up there... it's like when Doug Jones was our CLOSER.... Oh LAAAAWD. I really do not like Suter as an SP. If he was our long relief guy or spot starter I'd be OK with it, but I do not like him as a starter at all. The "he just got them out!" wears me down. I don't want 5-ERA guys in our rotation. There is no reason for it when our starters usually go 5 innings.
  8. Choi may be a pear but he has wheels. He is not your traditional chubby ball player, he's a great athlete.
  9. I don't think they care how he hits. I'm sure the mentality is, if the rest of the guys we are actually paying to hit, start to hit, he is even more of a non-issue than he is now. Manny Machado sounds great, but you are giving up a lot to get him, and it may ultimately not be necessary.
  10. Knebel getting tossed means some cold arm strolls into the game and promptly gives up 4 runs. It was played perfectly by Counsell.
  11. The "ball 4" was horrendous, although it is right that the Pina's frame wasn't very good.
  12. This is the fastest team to 30 wins in franchise history. I was sitting on that for 2 innings.
  13. I wouldn't say they went up a ton, they're reasonable relatively speaking, but I generally don't go to the games because it's just a pain and I find the NBA pricing structure to be really jacked. I'm 50 minutes away anyway, I don't like to pay for parking so I have to walk a bit, and it's usually terrible weather. To take one of my kids to a game is going to be at least $100 most nights. I won't sit in the upper bowl at the BC because I think it stinks, so some of that is self induced but it's all those things that made me just not really enjoy the BC. Supposedly the new place has way fewer bad seats, but we'll see. I'm a major collector but this way I can check the place out too. I'm basically limited to weekend games only due to the overall hassle of it all and since Giannis got really good those are quite expensive. It's just nothing at all like the value I get out of Miller Park where I can get 20+ games, be a SSH, tons of promotions, discounts, stuff to do for kids at the park and a bunch of extras for ~$600 a year.
  14. The Bucks job was the #1 coaching job on the market so I'm not at all surprised he turned that down. Toronto is obviously a good team, but that's just it, good not great, and I don't think they have the talent to be great. They're expecting a coach to come in and be able to get past LeBron and it's just not going to happen with that roster. I think every good coach looks at the Bucks and thinks they can do something special with Giannis. It's a testament to how bad the rest of the league thinks the team has been run.
  15. Not sure if anyone's mentioned this but the Bucks Father's Day Package is a pretty amazing deal. For $80, you get two tickets to a preseason game in the new arena and all 7 legends bobbleheads they gave away this past season. Just one of those bobbles has been costing about $40 on ebay with shipping. I didn't see myself forking out the cash to get to see the new arena so this will be just fine for my son and I, he won't know the difference and I'll be happy to see the place. The $80 covers both tickets and all 7 bobbles.
  16. The only really good value they can bring is injury updates and she does a great job with it. I mean really. She's worse than Telly? Not a chance.
  17. I think she does a really good job. And can speak Spanish which is pretty cool. People love to complain about broadcasters. It's American's true pastime.
  18. Yes, I don't think he's a bad person, I don't buy into that nonsense, but there is a pretty thin line between ultra-competitive and pain in the butt. It's not exactly uncommon for the Packers to have losing skids. I'm not sure you want a guy like that around when it happens. Especially not one who's on a "prove it" contract and knows he's losing money every week without a TD. It doesn't help that media know this and will do everything in their power to create a story when they know they have a subject who can easily create one.
