  1. a lesser CB than Alexander is flagged there...
  2. Is their punter a soccer player? That was a pretty good flop
  3. Watt looking very unnatural on the "incedental" step
  4. I don't know there is a view that can really tell since you can't see down the line, but they were up out of their stance when the ball moves. Same as Preston Smith's offsides. Agreed, I didn't think Preston was offsides either. At least they're consistent...

  6. two guys were moving before the ball was snapped. The CBS "official" was smoking something about "timing the snap"... edit - now Romo drinking the kool aid
  7. MSP waited until the end of the Jets/Titans. Sure it is a close OT game, but still... its the Jets. No one cares.
  8. Sad for us, yes. But I can't say I'm surprised. The 3rd string QB outplayed him pretty significantly. As I've said elsewhere, Coan is a good game-managing QB, but not more. ND sees that is is betting on the younger QBs.
  9. Oh, Coan is clearly better than Mertz... don't misread my posts. And I don't think PC would've (or should've) used Coan differently than he did. I'm saying they way they used Coan maximized his efficiency (or at least closer than how he is used now). I don't think Coan is a better QB at ND, he is just being used differently. QBs that only complete 60% are very inefficient and he had a number of throws that were wildly inaccurate; I don't know if he has the arm to "be that guy". Just getting an extra 50 yds per game (which I'll assume will go down as they play better teams) isn't worth all the incompletions it will incur. Coan isn't the QB that will carry the team... he is a good game manager type, IMO. I did say they bet on Mertz becoming better than Coan. I do believe he has more upside than Coan... but also a lower floor (obviously). I'm shocked at how much worse he is right now. In fact, I think he may have regressed...
  10. Coan under us looked like a good game manager type, on ND he's wizzing the ball around (granted small sample so far). Whizzing the ball around doesn't mean he is playing better though. He is getting around 50 yds/game more than his average in 2019 and a higher TD rate (and INT rate). But his completion percentage is way down (60.2 vs 69.6%). And most of that came from playing Florida State, Purdue, and Toledo. Yes, we wanted him to play more conservatively and feature JT at running back. Who wouldn't? But he still looks pretty much like the same game manager type to me. They let him throw it more but it doesn't really fit him well.
  11. Is bat guano the new rotten tomatoes?
  12. Ah bonuses, I've heard of those. Does anyone will receive them? In 30 years, (with one exception) I received two - at my first job - $25 each. We were working 55 hours a week. The owner was closer to a billionaire than a millionaire. Wife designs clothes for kohls corp and became a manager a few years back. She gets between 7 and 25 percent of her yearly salary. I can receive a 0-20% bonus of my salary each year and it typically is around 10%. Highest I've gotten is 15%. My company also has adhoc awards that managers can hand out for work over and above. Most people on my team get at least one per year and they range from $200-$1000. Employees can also give each other a "thank you" award for $25. The manager approves it and there is a short write-up for what it is for. It encourages people to help each other and reward each other. Each employee is maxed at giving 5 awards per year.
  13. Easier? Lately we've had nightmares playing those guys so this win was indeed sweet. Our banged up OL kept Bosa in check a lot of the time, AR got the ball out quick and Davante was clutch even after getting the wind knocked out of him. The Steelers appear to be a mess so we have a good chance at being 3-1 after next weekend if we keep playing like this. Yes, easier. We were in the red zone several times and came up short. Bad kickoff coverage essentially gave up a TD. Rodgers inexplicably airmailing three deep throws for a late three-and-out. The team played a good game considering how banged up the OL was and they made a good general game-plan. But a few different in-game decisions/execution and we probably win easily.
  14. MVS had a couple nice catches last night. He was open 2-3 times last week and Rodgers badly overshot him. He's caught everything that was catchable and thrown his way. I can't say Amari Rodgers has looked "electric" to me. Solid, but he actually looks a bit slow. Maybe once he stops trying to dance around everyone and just takes it upfield, he might see better results on punt returns.
  15. Yeah and maybe Santa Claus will come down your chimminy on Monday. RRB - Remember leave out some cookies tonight because Santa Claus is coming to town!
  16. I thought we had some highly ranked WR coming in...what happened to them? Seems like we've been stuck with meh WRs since Abredderis.
  17. And he was...clearly! One legit PI and one bogus PI, but you actually have to be close to the WR to commit PI. I'll take it.
  18. Yes, I think we did. Frankly, I didn't see much different from Coan compared to what he was in 2019. Looks like the same meh college QB. In fact, he looked much less accurate yesterday (granted he did have some individual bad games with the Badgers). He is getting almost the same yds/gm with less accuracy (69 vs 60), more TDs and more INTs (but of course JT got most of the TDs with WI). Sadly, neither Mertz nor Coan was the best QB on the field. Both were outplayed by ND's third string. WI bet on Mertz over Coan because Mertz has the better upside and Coan was maxed out.... But wow did Mertz's floor just fall out from under him.
  19. [sarcasm]Well to be fair...we don't know what Love would've done. [/sarcasm]
  20. Well, honestly, I wasn't expecting a win with our OL injuries so a win is sweet. It should've been an easier win honestly... Glad they put it in the foot of our MVP.
  21. would they ice him 3 times?
