  1. Is talking about salad in a Pizza thread a bannable offense?
  2. Were they though? I'm fairly certain that viewership was down in 2020 despite the pandemic, and stadium attendance is kind of a drop in the bucket for viewership compared to the usual number of a television audience. Not like the NFL is hurting or anything but 2020 was a pretty weak year for sports viewing across the board. I probably should've looked before I "leaped". Ratings were down 7%. Given the lack of entertainment, people stuck at home, and people not watching in person (about 500k each week), I'd assumed it would've been up.
  3. On the news the other night, they were talking that there has been so little flu this season that several strains have likely died off.
  4. I wasn't speaking politically. The pipeline being shut down is factual, not political. (well, factual if in fact it is allowed to happen) Anyways, thanks for the reply. Hopper, Sorry, I wasn't claiming you were. But since the Keystone pipeline is a political hot-button topic, I just threw out the warning. Frankly, it was more simply because I said the name than anything you said.
  5. Blasphemous! It's a pizza pie! When I was in college, Eduardo's was our favorite celebration place. A bit too expensive for regular visits (in college), but loved it for those special occasions. Unfortunately, they've closed. A couple of years ago, we tried Giordano's in the Twin Cities and it just wasn't the same.
  6. With the TV deals nearing completion, I wonder if COVID strengthened the NFL's position. Far more people watching on TV since they couldn't attend the games.
  7. Same if we ended up starting a lesser CB there, too. T-Buck is only 49. Maybe he has some wheels left. [sarcasm]Pass over Vincent over for T-Buck again? Never![/sarcasm] Whoa. I opened Packerswire this morning and for a second, thought the Packers were talking to Craig Newsome: https://packerswire.usatoday.com/2021/02/26/packers-meet-virtually-with-northwestern-cb-greg-newsome-ii/
  8. If they plan to carry 4 normal OFers, perhaps they want to see if he can cover CF in an emergency.

  10. I don't see Jones as that type of person (despite the intentional marketing campaign with the flashy sunglasses). Plus it isn't like $8M is chump change.
  11. Blackouts and their range are stupid. But blacking out the local and not the visitor broadcast would be really stupid. Like the draw is to hear Bill speak?
  12. Dillon actually did this quite often (for the amount of snaps he was in the game), but mostly as a decoy. Not sure what sort of route tree he is capable of, but he certainly seems comfortable doing it.
  13. Just a reminder to keep this discussion away from the politics side of it. Since the Keystone pipeline wasn't operational, it wouldn't have any bearing on prices today. Any impact would be on prices 2 years from now when it would've been completed. Regarding imported crude: I don't have a link, but I'm pretty sure that the US was consuming 100% domestic crude sometime in the past few years. Compared to the 1980s when we were heavily dependent on Middle East oil. The low oil prices (~$2/gallon) and the consistency of them were because we weren't reliant on the highly fluctuating prices based on what was going on in the Middle East at the time. -Edit: Not 100% domestic yet, but drastically reduced from OPEC and the Persian Gulf (while Canada was increasing): https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/oil-and-petroleum-products/imports-and-exports.php
  14. Well, at least we can beat the Timberwolves...
  15. I typically link my smart TV as a wireless display from my PC, so everyone can see it easily. If you have a streaming stick, any WIN10 PC should be able to do the same (not that I know all streaming sticks, but I'd assume they can).
  16. Cordarrelle Patterson is a FA and he just makes WAY too much sense for the Packers to go after. Solves the PR/KR situation, becomes the 3rd RB, becomes the main guy on jet sweeps (and should get it often in the formation too!). I'm thinking he might be my second favorite FA target this offseason.
  17. For Jackbox games, you can also get a Steam account (they are free). It runs on a PC and maybe other platforms (I use a PC).
  18. I'm glad to hear that! But I'm not a fan of RR pizza...and I can't resist a good pun. I hope there was no offense. I joke with my Viking fan friends about them having lost their taste, too. .
  19. I think they clearly can win it all. But how probable is it? I'd say more than the post-COVID 2020 team, but not the pre-COVID 2020 team. They still seem like they've not regained the swagger they had before the COVID shutdown.
  20. That's just because you have no taste!
  21. Ok, so I had Jets pizza last night and I found it oddly excellent and bad at the same time. The edges were excellent - no wasted crust, special flavorings for the crust. BBQ chicken pizza was really good. But I found the regular sauce to be very bland. So if you were eating the middle of the pizza, it was really missing good pizza flavor. Toppings were fine, but they really need better sauce. I ended up adding some Italian seasonings and it was much better. Certainly better than Pizza hut or the like, but with the premium price, too.
  22. Imagine those guys' numbers with a strong defense behind them? It really could be something special as if it isn't already. True. Even for those 4 pitchers, about half of their outs are in the field (27 outs per 9).
  23. Didn't the Mariners just bring up a ton of top prospects though in a rebuild campaign? Seems like our payroll tanked when we were rolling up JJ/Hart/Braun/Fielder/Weeks, then invested in their prime years. Obviously, I have no idea what they are doing, but I'm just saying that their might've been more to it. Easy to be an arm-chair GM from a distance.
  24. A friend of mine owns several Papa Murphy's pizza stores. They are early/mid-50s and "retired" to AZ a few years ago - still worked the store's finances from AZ during the winter. Just recently, they sold their summer home on a golf course ($1M+?) and live full time in an RV now - AZ in the winter, MN in the summers.
