  1. Ok, I actually had to double check to make sure it wasn't April 1st... I wasn't expecting this one. Is there any chance that Yovanni is coming back as an RP instead of SP?
  2. Word is out that Marvin Lewis is leaving the Bungles at the end of the season. He never seemed to mesh well as a HC, but his defensive were normally very good. I wouldn't mind him as GB's next DC.
  3. they don't abandon the run game. If anything, the run game should be much stronger now that safeties can't sit in the box without fear of a pass more than 10 yards from the LOS. our CBs don't look like the end of last year. Randall is looking good. The rest look very green...
  4. there were a couple RP arms that I thought were interesting in the draft, but I'm sure they went before our draft spot
  5. I was going to say the same thing. This is really the Cub's only option...
  6. Doug Pederson's career: 54.8% completion, 12 TDs, 2.3% TD, 19 INTs, 3.6% INT, 62.3 passer rating Matt Flynn's career: 61.3% completion, 17 TDs, 4.8% TD, 11 INTs, 3.1% INT, 85.9 passer rating Scott Tolzien's career: 60.3% completion, 2 TDs, 1.4% TD, 9 INTs, 6.2% INT, 61.6 passer rating Brett Hundley's career: 62.2% completion, 8 TDs, 3.1% TD, 9 INTs, 3.4% INT, 74.5 passer rating I'd say he's pretty comparable, if not markedly better than at least two of them. And take away one monster game against a Detroit Lions defense that wanted nothing to do with playing outside in GB on January 1st and Hundley is right there with Flynn too. I wasn't trying to say Hundley was worse than all those guys... but who he was being compared to. And in fact, I purposefully tried to throw out examples that didn't cherry-pick the best ones (Brunnell, Brooks, Hasselback, Detmer). Being neck and neck with Tolzien isn't quite a badge of honor either. Hundley is better than Brian Brohm, Graham Harrell and Craig Nall. I'll give you those ones.
  7. How do you know what section its in? Its unwritten!
  8. If Phoenix can't support a $120M payroll with a team that is winning 90+ games, they have a bigger problem...
  9. Come on Jeter get it done!
  10. Finally got one back! (Yeah, I know Spriggs came back too and has played well, but don't spoil my fun here)
  11. No one expects him to be Rodgers nor Favre. And he is far from an average starting QB. He isn't even a good backup QB. Right now, he is looking up at Jay Cutler in the ratings. We just played two bad (one VERY bad) teams and could barely squeaked out wins. Against decent to good teams, he is embarrassingly bad. My standard for Hundley isn't Rodgers/Favre... its a very long string of backup QBs (Pedersen, Flynn, Tolzien)... career backups. Hundley isn't there either.
  12. Correction: He played well when Cleveland played prevent D and we had "free" 5 yard passes.
  13. The good: D. Randall looks like a legit CB finally these last 4-5 games. I'm not believing it: Hundley made plays, but can't throw the ball past 10 yards unless the guy is standing alone waiting for it. Couldn't do much of anything until Cleveland played prevent D. The Odd: After beating Tampa 26-20 in OT, they beat the Browns 27-21 in OT (each team scoring one more point than last week). I'm torn: I can never cheer to lose, but I just don't think we have the CBs left this year to do anything. DR is playing well. But with King on IR and House constantly injured, the rest of the cupboard is pretty bare. Looks like a redux of last year. Oh, well... At least its interesting to see if Rodgers can lift his legend.
  14. Unfortunately, its going to take a couple years to really evaluate Gard's recruitment abilities. The early "hints" that Bo was retiring hurt them for a couple years consecutively.
  15. You have done far better than I have to any Bucks game ever... So how was it?
  16. Wow. The title says top 30, but beyond those 30, are blurbs about 28 other players. A good read. Lemons was my sleeper guy to follow and adding a 2500 RPM spin rate makes him that more appealing...
  17. I would assume that KM and Hensen have to be there to balance salaries. But maybe a 1st round pick is included in stead of Brogdon? I would also assume that Jordan walks next year, but if Giannis/Bledsoe/Jordan hit it off, you never know if they might want to keep the band together...
  18. Also not to be ignored in the trade is the financial flexibility of it: [pre]Year 2017-18 2018-19 2019-20 KM $14,100,000 $13,000,000 $13,000,000* Hensen $11,422,536 $10,577,466 $9,732,396 Brogdon $1,312,611 $1,544,951 $10,000,000** Jordan $22,642,350 $24,119,025* Delta -$4,192,797 -$25,122,417 -$19,732,396[/pre] *Player option is assumed to be declined and not included in the calculations. **Approximate RFA deal. We obviously have some issues with future financial flexibility. This would allow us to actually resign Jordan to a similar deal as his current and save $$ for Giannis coming. I'm not sure that would be enough to resign him, but it certainly puts us in a better playoff position this year. And next year a lot of money to find a center if Jordan won't resign. And I'm assuming Parker comes back and is able to approximate KM's production. Negatives: - PG depth is hurt. Small risk as long as Eric stays healthy. - Offensive risk. Parker needs to come back quickly and produce similar to KM. Positives: - Center play (especially rebounding) is dramatically improved. - Future flexibility.
  19. That article is a joke. We have to give up Brogdon (ROY) AND Middleton with Henson but these other teams rumors are junk players? We better not make that deal. Give them Henson, DJ, and maybe a pick or hang up the phone unless he's got a pen when he gets off the plane for an extension. 3 counterpoints: 1) The Buck trade proposal comes from LA (which will lean towards LA). The others came from the other trading team (leaning away from LA) 2) The other offers included an unprotected draft pick from bad teams, which is probably the centerpiece of those deals. 3) If Brogdon's ROY increases his trade value at all, we should cash in. I like the guy and he seems like a good team player, but he is nothing more than a second tier starting PG or backup.
  20. Dustin Houle is back with the Brewers.
  21. Movement wasn't his problem, nor speed. It was control. When a MLB player can ignore anything that spins, then T up on a 96 FB down the middle, big things happen.
  22. KM is a nice player, but not a star. He is only signed to one more year anyway. So you give up an above average SF with 1.5 years left, a below ave C with a bad contract, and a below ave PG on his rookie contract for 0.5 years of a player the fits exactly what we need (interior defense, rebounding) and free up a lot of money over the next couple years. I have no idea if Jordan would consider resigning (nor for what price), but seeing what they could do with Giannis, Bledsoe and Parker (when healthy) could be very interesting this year. Certainly more of a playoff challenge than the current configuration. I would say "yes"
  23. Spread offense here we come!
  24. I was more made at MM for calling a pass play on 3and1 or Nelson for hesitating before getting upfield. I think MM had to kick the field goal there. You don't pass up tying the game with little time left.
  25. MLB profile has him at a much higher FB speed. Bickford can hit 98 mph with a four-seam fastball and miss barrels with a low-90s two-seamer that features plenty of sink. His slider can be a plus pitch when his mechanics are in sync but also can get slurvy when he doesn't maintain his release point. He made strides with his changeup during his first instructional league with the Giants and then made even more progress with the pitch in 2016.
