  1. But Detroit has better fans too!
  2. Detroit has better TD celebrations too...🙄
  3. This crowd is massively whiny...
  4. Stupid chippy crap. Jaire, Valentine, ... now Walker. Just stupid. Major acting on Detroit, but still stupid on Walker
  5. The game isn't important so much for standings, but it is important as a measuring stick. We still need to show that we can play a good team toe-to-toe without making dumb mistakes. Play a clean game and lose by 3? Not a terrible outcome. Win in Detroit for the second season in a row? Nice setup for the playoffs (and helps my Pick'em league standings).
  6. This team only shows up for tournament games!
  7. I wonder (hope?) if Walker's poor play was a result of not understanding his role in the defense? Not that the role changed much, but perhaps just thinking too much and not reacting? Hopefully this last couple games is a sign of him reacting more and thinking less.
  8. Well, at least we didn't lose to Howard...
  9. It is and it isn't. You have a lot of work to establish continuity amoung players. Teamwork, etc.. But when you consider 25% turnover is your minimum because of seniors leaving... and a higher percentage of starters... An additional 20% isn't that much more. Especially because a lot of the transfer turnover happens at the lower "I can't get an opportunity here" realm than with your starters.
  10. Interesting summary by Google's AI Overview: In 2023, 20.5% of FBS rosters were made up of transfer players. In the same year, over 31,000 student-athletes entered the transfer portal, but only about 45% were able to move to new schools. And from ChatGPT: The transfer rate in NCAA football has been influenced significantly by the introduction of NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) rules, with a notable increase in player movement through the transfer portal. Recent reports indicate that the NCAA football transfer rate is around 15%-20%, meaning about one in five players is transferring between programs annually. With seniors accounting for about 25% of the roster and if a 15-20% transfer rate is "normal", having 25% transfer from a poor team doesn't seem to be out of the ordinary. So a 50% turnover doesn't seem like a very high watermark honestly... What is sadder is the 45% of transfers that don't find a new dance partner. That should be a word of warning to many...
  11. I knew the BIG100 had a lot of teams in the top rankings, but I missed how low the SEC was this year. Frankly, I figured the NIL would only boost the SEC's strangle-hold on the playoffs. And yes, Texas is now in the SEC, but that feels a bit different than the constant Alabama, LSU, Georgia presence there. Shame on you! Always intend your puns! 😂
  12. I hate to say it, but the Vikings and Packers are pretty even statically. Scoring, Yards, Pt differential (both have +78) are all very close to each other. Darnold has outplayed Love so far this year..fewer Ints in more games and better completion percentage. Injuries were a part of Love's play and I think he will finish strong, but Darnold has been better so far. I don't see the Vikings going far in the playoffs but this isn't the 2022 team that went 13-4, but had a -3 point differential. Even with the teams being so close, I do see a difference in how they've gotten there. The vikings seem to be more consistent. They make fewer penalties and do the little things well. The Pack has more upside, but still a lot of youthful mistakes. Penalties against the Lions was a major killer. Love pushes the ball deep too often and doesn't always consider the situation (i.e. keep a drive moving). He is getting there, but still needs some maturity there. Likewise the defense has a lot of promise developing...plus maturing in the system. Perhaps a few players not a great fit for this system, but just needing growth overall.
  13. Locke looks every bit the Texas QB who can't play in the cold. Or a QB who has already selected his transfer location.
  14. RPOs yes. We had a flag on linemen downfield once on an RPO. I don't recall Locke moving out of the pocket though. They really need to change something...
  15. Wow, this game is just garbage for WI. Getting outplayed pretty soundly. The wind was our best player in the 1st quarter.
  16. Yes. He played excellently last week. Was solid this week. Nothing spectacular, made the plays he should, no big gaffes. Hopefully he continues his solid play. Yeah, I saw that too. Reminded me a little of Urlacher on that one.
  17. That actually was a pretty fun Turkey leg celebration. Normally, they take a bite and off they go... These guys were chowing down. 😂
  18. I'm surprised this game is the biggest blowout of the day.
  19. Agreed. But ultimately no real impact. You wanted the FG there to make it 3 scores. Going for it on 4th wasn't really needed.
  20. Remember when kicking FGs was an adventure?
  21. We certainly need to run outside more. They are heavy inside the box, but weak on the edges.
  22. Kraft is more than Mac and Cheese.
  23. #10 in scoring, #11 in yards.
