  1. I will say that I loved Detroit's uniforms today. That helmet was really sharp.
  2. Fixed. Got to lean into some of those puns... don't want people to overlook them. 😂 Or the previous QB entering the transfer protocol? I'm certainly glad Kekehuna came back. He has a really nice upside. Pauly was our best WR last year when healthy... but Kekehuna made bigger plays. He could be a special WR.
  3. Sorry, but we are going to have to put you on IR for 4 weeks. We will check on your health then and allow you voice to text when healthy enough. After a week of evaluations to ensure your wit wasn't warped by the fall, we will put you on full forum responsibilities...just in time for spring training and the NFL playoffs. 😂
  4. I think part of Brook's issues on D are that teams are attacking him differently. They are doing a better job of pulling him out farther from the rim or if he stays low, being able to shoot from deep. Not that they didn't do that in the past... but it seems like a more concentrated effort to do that when he is in the game now.
  5. True. The Brewers could've traded Smith instead of losing him. Yes, the other team would've had to add him to the 40-man roster. This is how we got Hudson last year (kind of similar situation honestly). If Smith had any opportunity to be an SP, I'm certain the Brewers would've kept him. That was pretty clearly the difference between Smith and Patrick. Smith's 93-94 MPH fastball would probably dip down to 91-92 MPH as a starter. Perhaps his control and other pitches could give him a mid-rotation ceiling, but I doubt it. There still is the chance he gets returned to the Brewers too. He didn't have much time at AAA and needs to make a big jump to MLB and stay there...granted the Chisox don't have much talent in general.
  6. There certainly is an element of gambling that goes on with these roster shuffles. At the end of the day, the Rule 5 draft is fun to watch, but rarely has had significant impact to the teams. Smith's likely ceiling is middle-leverage BP arm like Hoby Milner or Joel Payamps. Valuable, but not a crippling loss.
  7. Just keep going for it on 4th down!
  8. Maybe I mis-heard but I thought they had two starters out yesterday?
  9. Yes, I want ZERO part of helping the Vikings win anything.
  10. I was annoyed by it. Not something I will go to my grave regretting... But at the time, I thought it was "cheap". Records become meaningless if they aren't earned. Strahan deserves an "*".
  11. Sing it with me! One of these things is not like the other...
  12. A win, but against a minimal opponent. Kind of squeaked it out at the end. All of those courts are terrible.
  13. I'm confused... isn't that who they are right now? Injuries are part of the game and it impacts who they are as a team. We have injuries too, though not as severe. My assessment also includes the first game we played against them when they weren't as banged up. Clearly Lions are the better team... they beat us twice this year. But the gap isn't big. The point of my post was more about the gap in execution than it was a gap in talent. So yes, I'm serious.
  14. So that amounts to the vet minimum for the NYM, right?
  15. He won't play much though.. what should we expect? 10 min? But it should be a good indicator of where the Bucks are at the moment.
  16. The teams are very evenly matched. Both games were very close. Yes, the Lions are better, but most of that is in the experience and prep. One thing I struggle to understand is that we seem to be very bad at predicting what teams are going to throw at us...and very predictable for what we are going to do. We fall behind quickly and then eventually adjust, but we look terrible early on nearly every game (except Miami, but they just froze).
  17. After getting after Goff early, they can't seem to get after him anymore. 🙁
  18. That seemed like a cheap PI...
  19. Nice to see Wicks show up today.
  20. That was a nice throw. Hope it gets him going now.
  21. Anderson was just out there now... but Stokes has given up a bunch already.
  22. Having Stokes and Zayne Anderson out in our DB backfield sure isn't helping...
