  1. Peña is obviously terrible news. Priester - with the huge caveat that it was rookie league ball - at least threw “strikes” presumably, but rookie hitter could swing at anything so lack of walks doesn’t mean much other than his control is better than many rookie league relievers. I’ll take that little ray of hope before I block him out of mind for this season. Fischer - not sure if it just he his trying to hit HRs every at bat and therefore will K, or if he has true holes in his swing. He doesn’t seem to when k watched him, he seems to be teed up for a pitch and sells out and if he’s wrong oh well. While bitonti’s holes are closing slightly, and if he can make more contact he would be huge development. These two with Burke are the best bets for power hitters of the future
  2. That Nashville line up is starting to look better. Look forward to when we see Wilken-Pratt-Williams-Adams-Lara-Quero-Black with Leonard. Also would love to see the all get hot and force their way in to the 2026/2027 MLb roster.
  3. That is absolutely amazing and to be honest/blunt surprising, but in such a good way.. I had assumed he would just redshirt this year and focus on his health. To potentially play organized baseball within 6-7 months of a severe injury is so great. I have very little expectations for him but to see or hear of him throwing in an ACL game this season would be all I need to hear. Thanks for sharing ARobs!!
  4. wow this is great Terry. Hitters are doing pretty well. But I'm surprised by the wRC+ for Burke and Payne honestly, not as good as I would think. Pitching wise is fine, not as many hitting their stride yet, but it's a long year and for pitching health is more important than anything else - just look at most MLB rosters littered with pitchers who are not able to take the mound.
  5. Jaron with DeBerry best of outings today ;) A 7 IP complete game 1--hit shutout. Very nice!!!
  6. sorry yes I think from what I watched last year ( I have been unable to watch much this year unfortunately), he was a good hitter, not a lot of power, but decent hitter and unless I'm confusing him he had a good eye at the plate. Defensively he was DH or OF I believe which says a lot right there about his defense. But if he can hit consistenly and develop some power it would be a very nice depth piece
  7. Most of the DSL players come up as SS or CF, but ibarguen is not a SS at all, he could be corner IF, but is like a lot of players who are not elite defenders (or high dollar picks/signings) and will go to what position they can fill to get in the line up.
  8. Don’t worry the cardinals have or at least convinced themselves they see it 😉
  9. Yes the Wichrowski quick bump in 2024, and then I look at Dorchies and maybe Letson as a couple who also may have been bumped up quickly. Dorchies was ACL and Carolina with 55 IP in low A, and Letson had 37 IP in high A. Obviously a lot goes on behind the scenes, but I am curious if this will help or hurt their development. The team has been very aggressive with promotion the last several years and while still featuring the youngest teams at most levels has been a little less aggressive for the most part this year (partly due to depth). But I like that Fischer is spending more time in high A, and not rushed to AA like Wilken in ‘24. And we are spoiled with Chourio and Made type of runs through the system, I look at Lara as an example of aggressive patience. Hitting side has been solid this year, but pitching is a few solid standouts, and then a lot of rehab pitchers building up while we wait for a few of higher end pitchers to make that next step.
  10. Handelfry with a 4-5 night. Warbirds up crazy thing I get an alert on my phone an I read it as “Luis Pena with a solo HR” but it was “Luis Pino” and Peoria took the 5-4 lead. Ugh. I need new glasses
  11. Knoth had a good start with a couple of unearned runs and T-Rays up 4-2. Fischer error led to the 2 unearned runs. I haven’t watched to see what happened. Bitonti 2-2 with 2 XBH so far.
  12. I think it’s fair to say that Hardin likes AAA so far with another impressive stat line tonight. 6 IP, 2H, 1BB and 5 K. ‘And oh yeah Lara keeps hitting. Nashville up 2-0 heading to top of 9
  13. Do the Brewers home games in the ACL routinely have stat cast? Joey Broughton is pitching and nice stat line, but nothing over 89 mph. I think most of his fastballs are tracked as changeups, unless I am completely ignorant (which is statistically possible)
  14. The 2 innings i watched for Holden he looked pretty good. Two wild pitches but one I thought may have been a PB or mix up but the behind the catcher view doesn't allow for a lot of depth.
  15. does anyone have his arsenal. I heard change, curve, sinker and cutter. And velocity was 94. Any other insight?
  16. I have loved Woods game the past 2 season. I think he has more defense to him, and could be a “good offense for a catcher” type of 2nd/3rd C for a club. Miller is more offense, Rodriguez is definitely more defense first but may be tapping into his offense. But he is also 2+ years older than Miller/Wood duo.
  17. Can I assume it was a planned 1 inning,15-20 pitch debut? Because my fear when looking at the box score was he got hurt after 16 pitches- may be an ARobs question.
  18. So this is the opposite of the tacked balls from 2022 or was it 2023
  19. Yeah got 9 of 10.. The last one - not sure I ever heard of them
  20. This is about the time of the year (June) when the brewers have tried to sign some indy ball or other milb players to fill in rosters, maybe a good time to look for a live arm somewhere to fill in the lower ranks at least. Although Wilson will be back up soon as I suspect Quezada is more there to cover the weekend in Nashville until the Mil-Nash shuttling calms down again.
  21. So disappointing. I wonder if he will truly recover. Still a great season we got from him, but if surgery is now delayed, and then recovery we may not have much from him until 2028. 😢 I guess we need to keep that "Other Team to Boston to Milwaukee" pipeline going each year. 😉
  22. Hardin and Letson have really not been performing up to expectations this season. They were so good in high A and fine in the short stints at AA, I expected both to pitch average at least, but this start to the season has put cold water on penciling either in to the 2027 rotation. Woodward building up innings slowly. It has been a good showing in terms of peripheral for him, would love to see him stay healthy all season.
  23. anyone watched him? Is he ok? Seems like he is off in terms of numbers this year.
  24. And Smith strikes out the last two. T-Rats won 2-1. Great pitching line by Thompson and Smith.
  25. Nice game 1 for the ACL squad. Awesome professional debut for Mr. Thompson. And some nice work by Travis Smith. Slow start to his professional career, but he has had a nice year at high A. And will likely see AA this year. Starter profile but could move quickly with a bullpen move I would guess. Andrew Fischer 1 for his last 12 with 7 K. The lone hit was that game winning HR last night. So a mini slump for him but still a game winner in the middle of it. and as I type this Travis Smith gives up a 1 out HR in the 9th. Biedergb jinx in full effect lol. 2-1 TRats still lead and Smith has a chance to close it out still.
