    Yeah he was hot but cooled off pretty quickly. And pitching depth is great throughout the organization, but really lacking quality at the moment, aside from DeBerry and the should be MLB arms (Henderson and Gasser). Letson, Hardin not quite replicating that amazing start they had last year in HighA. And Meccage stat line looks fine. Am I missing anyone, as I’ve been really disappointing compared to my expectations for pitching particularly since many are repeating levels they were in at some point last year.

    Ugh. That is so disappointing. and Wilson - the offensive struggles are real. This is similar to the Mudcats we watched late last year, only without much pitching help. With the big club struggles this week, and only a handful of prospects having a good show, the massive expectations for this season are clearly being tempered at the moment, sigh.

    Wilson and Biloxi have 11 hits between them both, yet 13 runs. Biloxi looking to try to close out a win here Nashville with 11 hits and only 3 meager runs, they let the ghost runner score to lose 4-3.

    The Warbirds close it out, with 6 runs on 4 hits (and 11 walks, and 4 errors by Salem). Niksch closes it out. I went to watch the Shuckers game and the Biloxi feed cut after the top of 6 - man that team needs to figure a way to video and audio into this century. And Biloxi extends the lead now on a sac fly.

    so Shuckers and Warbirds are in a competition of who can score more with fewer hits 🤣 Shuckers with 5 runs on 3 hits (5 walks) Warbirds with 6 runs on 3 hits (9 walks). Encarnacion and Anderson with most of the offense tonight, and all 3 hits (Anderson with a HR)

    So while Denver now puts up 2 goals in the 3rd, I'm back to some MiLB. Wilson up 2-0 despite being no hit so far lol. Wait 3-0 now on their first hit. Hardin very good for 3 innings. noice And Luis Lara still remains the offense of Nashville with Leonard and Jones.

    Should be interesting to watch Torres and Bonet tonight if I get a chance, and hoping Hardin can bounce back. Last nights results (other than T-Rats) among other recent results with Nashville, Wilson have me in a little funk. Hard to read the starts of these minor league seasons, as some prospects jump off the page early (and some of those cool off), and some really come on in May/June.

    Is there any insight into Melvin Hernandez. He dominated low A as a teenager and was still placed there again, but on the developmental list to start the season, which just seems odd. Maybe no answer, or none that can be provided, but figured I'd see if any sleuths here knows, or if ARobs heard anything he is a liberty to provide to us. Also really looking forward to seeing Thompson and Morrison pitch some time this year, with Thompson recovering from the hamstring injury, but Morrison - did I miss any updates on him?

    Well possibly given how he ended 2025. But in April and May of last year Wilken was doing this for Biloxi - I think mid April they started going off and looked like a sure fire promotion to AAA in June. So I think Burke is showing more here since he did hit in high A last year, and then started to take in 2025bin AA and has continued it, but I agree if he keeps up hitting through May he is a top 10 prospect candidate

    After Dorchies awful first inning, he did settle down. The offense in not doing too much tonight. Nashville despite its offensive struggles has 6 runs and the lead. But only Leonard and Jones with ok numbers, and Lara is the only prospect hitting. Quero, Williams, Pratt, Adams not so much. I won’t even go there with Wilken.

    Yeah that looks like a Birchard line. 60 pitches for 3 innings, 1 hit allowed, 4 walks and 5 K. man that Nashville offense is offensive. Henderson pitched well, but really no one is leading that offense. wilson also without much offense either.

    Mercedes with a nice start so far. Dorchies with a 1st inning he would like to forget. Yikes.

    Although there are a handful of low A teams where 21 is the average age. Still agree 21-22 yo doing well in low A does not make him a prospect. However , a jump to high A with production would put him on the map.

    Went back to watch Woodward and Rodriguez Woodward was effective. He was better in the 2nd inning than the first. He pitched well, mostly good control Rodriguez was himself. Velo still 88mph, but he has poise, knows how to pitch and throws off speed stuff that seems to fool the batters. Man not sure he can get away with that in AAA or the bigs, he needs to get some velocity, even up to 92 with his pitchability he could make that work, but not 88-89. Made made a nice catch and throw in the first too, good charging fielding play and strong throw, encouraging to see that he can handle SS

    welp Adamczewski grounds into a double play. Still 9-1 heading to the bottom of 9. Wonder if Smith goes out for a 6th inning of relief, or do they use another arm for the final inning?

    Broca back out for the 9th, and goes 1-2-3 to end it. Biloxi wins 6-2. T-Rats trying to add on more, up 9-1 with bases loaded.

    Broca tightwire act, gets out of the bases loaded jam he got himself into, only one run scores earlier in that inning and it is 6-3 Biloxi still.

    Shutout bid over, as Travis Smith gives up a solo HR. But then angry he strikes out the next guy and then gets two grounders Fischer to Bitonti. And he gives them 5 solid innings tonight.

    I want Wilken to succeed but his lack of a consistent hit tool is problematic.

    Man Nashville has been scuffling lately. Offense is not firing well, and pitching hasn’t been great either. ‘Wilson is struggling too which is to be expected since they are so young and not real top end prospects there this year. Renz with a respectable line - I’ll try to watch later or tomorrow to see how he did. woodward - gush - seeing him pitch again and do so well is such a nice sight. So much talent, if he can stay healthy he could really become a name to know outside of this forum. Travis Smith pitching well after him which is good to see felt like he started to get some traction in the second half last year. If he can keep that going he can find himself in Biloxi this season. And T-Rats offense with the big HR to take a 5-0 lead. Biloxi -Manuel Rodriguez with a very nice pitching line. Out after 87 pitches and really only the solo HR against. While the offense is solid again. oRae, made, Keith, Boeve have started out well so far in the very young season. Keith has been a good pick up,the first week or so of this season.

    Yes Quero's fall from impact prospect to likely back up, along with some other prospects whose stars have faded (EBJ, Carlos Rodriguez), and those are fading (Wilken, Black). Good thing there is a lot of depth. In the past seeing 5 former top 20 prospects fade 2 years later would be a crushing blow, but here it is sad and unfortunate, but there are others to step up (Dinges, Pena, Fischer, etc to go with Made/Pratt, and Dorchies, etc)

    Wilson Warbirds is the new low A affiliate In the Carolina league. The former Carolina Mudcats - team owned by the Brewers - moved this past offseason to Wilson, NC and rebranded as the Warbirds. You can find more information on that in this forum in some threads about the move and the upcoming season. And this one : https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/topic/46891-your-2026-wilson-warbirds/ Fayetteville, NC club is an affiliate of the Astros I think.
