  1. Broca back out for the 9th, and goes 1-2-3 to end it. Biloxi wins 6-2. T-Rats trying to add on more, up 9-1 with bases loaded.
  2. Broca tightwire act, gets out of the bases loaded jam he got himself into, only one run scores earlier in that inning and it is 6-3 Biloxi still.
  3. Shutout bid over, as Travis Smith gives up a solo HR. But then angry he strikes out the next guy and then gets two grounders Fischer to Bitonti. And he gives them 5 solid innings tonight.
  4. I want Wilken to succeed but his lack of a consistent hit tool is problematic.
  5. Man Nashville has been scuffling lately. Offense is not firing well, and pitching hasn’t been great either. ‘Wilson is struggling too which is to be expected since they are so young and not real top end prospects there this year. Renz with a respectable line - I’ll try to watch later or tomorrow to see how he did. woodward - gush - seeing him pitch again and do so well is such a nice sight. So much talent, if he can stay healthy he could really become a name to know outside of this forum. Travis Smith pitching well after him which is good to see felt like he started to get some traction in the second half last year. If he can keep that going he can find himself in Biloxi this season. And T-Rats offense with the big HR to take a 5-0 lead. Biloxi -Manuel Rodriguez with a very nice pitching line. Out after 87 pitches and really only the solo HR against. While the offense is solid again. oRae, made, Keith, Boeve have started out well so far in the very young season. Keith has been a good pick up,the first week or so of this season.
  6. Yes Quero's fall from impact prospect to likely back up, along with some other prospects whose stars have faded (EBJ, Carlos Rodriguez), and those are fading (Wilken, Black). Good thing there is a lot of depth. In the past seeing 5 former top 20 prospects fade 2 years later would be a crushing blow, but here it is sad and unfortunate, but there are others to step up (Dinges, Pena, Fischer, etc to go with Made/Pratt, and Dorchies, etc)
  7. Wilson Warbirds is the new low A affiliate In the Carolina league. The former Carolina Mudcats - team owned by the Brewers - moved this past offseason to Wilson, NC and rebranded as the Warbirds. You can find more information on that in this forum in some threads about the move and the upcoming season. And this one : https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/topic/46891-your-2026-wilson-warbirds/ Fayetteville, NC club is an affiliate of the Astros I think.
  8. Wow, this paints such an ugly scene for latin american scouting. But in a big money sport I guess it is inevitable, and while difficult to state I am sure the Brewers are guilty (as is every MLB team) in perpetuation some of these problems, including the so far reported (and obviously never confirmed because it would be illegal to do so) pre-acuerdas with 13 year olds. I am not a fan of the international draft per se, but this if all substantiated would change my mind, and I suspect that was the intent of the article.
  9. Nice organizational debut by Andrew Healy, but looks like Carra ran into some trouble in the 3rd and 4th. DeBerry with a wonderful 5 IP for Biloxi. While 4 Shuckers so far have gotten on base twice, including Damon Keith, O'Rae and Made too. T-Rats get a nice start from Galindez - his first outing since his injury recovery?? The T-Rats offense very efficient with 4 Runs on 4 hits and 4 BB despite 11 Ks.
  10. yes. outside of a 2 month stretch last year (April - May) and a good first month as a professional, he has had struggles. Now some have been written off to his injuries, so this will be a big test. His power is legit, but his swing and miss is a real concern.
  11. Love the updates this past week @Tedaldtada I hope to join in a bit more this week or the following week. Daniel and sveumrules are keeping it going as usual for them. I will get back into it soon I hope and I believe Joseph will not be as hands on this season I believe per his comments on the minor league recaps.
  12. Not a surprise as the brewers have been among the younger teams at the lower ranks for a couple of years and as these players move up they will remain young. Heck even Nashville must be among the younger clubs, although AAA is always skewed with vets and AAAA types, but adams, Wilken, Pratt, Lara, Quero, Williams all born 2002 or later.
  13. Fischer with some nice plays at 3rd. Another nice catch to bail out Yerlin. Meccage and Yerlin struggling with throwing strikes.
  14. oh it's been full Yerlin - yikes, 16 pitches and only 6 Ks (3 are foul balls). He cannot hit the broad side of the barn.
  15. Hey he was 2nd choice as pick to click (after Hunt was traded).
  16. Strange for Hernandez- repeating the year and then being active for the first week. I wonder if something odd is going on with him?
  17. With the talent that has been in Carolina the past few years, the inaugural season for the warbirds have some nice pieces, but as far as high level prospect it’s really Ebel. also surprised Melvin Hernandez is here again?!?
  18. I wonder if Fischer starting there is a reaction to 2024 when they bumped Wilken up to AA. Yes the injury both years were big factors, bit imagine if Wilken started hot in Wisconsin, and continued that all year. Maybe the hole is give Fischer a good environment to excel in to start, and assuming he does then bump him up.
  19. Nashville gets the ghost runner home but Williams and Pratt strand the bases loaded ugh. Then old friend who has returned RP Peter Strzelecki gives up the tie run, and then old friend Weston Wilson wins the game. Two close losses with blown leads by the bullpen, and yes so far littel production from the young prospects on the offense side of the ledger. Young season.
  20. he is not signed per se, and will only officially be signed in January 2030, then will have the normal number of years for an internation signee (which I have to look up) but in 2030 it may be different rules as well.
  21. oof Wilken. I worry that the April-June 2025 Wilken was the aberration. I hope not, but just a worry.
  22. And in a 20 team league the Brewers account for 5 of those 30 young hitting prospects- that is quite significant. And their pitching is youngish too - Gasser, Rodriguez, Henderson, Crow along with Kuener and Drohan as SP options - amazing depth that keeps Hardin, Letson, DeBerry all at AA.
