  1. He did have three hits. But the two I saw were a grounder just in the hole between 1B and 2B and the last was bloop into center. He got hits but still not squaring up or hitting as hard. Hoping he can get back to it at the plate.
  2. Darrien Miller on a mini tear. 2 run double tonight for his second hit. Shuckers up 6-1 now in the bottom of 7.
  3. It will be interesting to see - with Underwood not signing, I’m hopeful that the Brewers can sign some “day 3” picks (meaning 11-20 rounders which was previously day 3). They hit well with this approach the past 2 years - wonder if this season doesn’t do they keep that trend or go differently next year?
  4. Wow definitely missed that. Yeah my comment was not directed just at his error. His defense is still going strong, I was more commenting on his offense recently- not much pop and just doesn’t seem to be as dialed in as earlier. Maybe having to shoulder more without Adams or Wilken, or just the grind of the season he has looked different to me the past few weeks
  5. The Mayor says I have it. After a walk puts the go ahead runner on and after a generous strike call, Rada grounds out to Warren. 3-2 win. Woo hoo
  6. It’s a long season I know but Pratt has looked gassed recently. ‘And a wild pitch by Middendorf. Ok. Getting tense now.
  7. Dang. Middendorf get 2 outs on 20 pitches. Then out #3 is an error on the throw by Pratt. Grrr.
  8. Middendorf is in. its all going to be fine just fine 😬
  9. And an error scores Warren. Shuckers now in the lead. Ok.
  10. The mayor heeds my call - Warren with a rbi double 2-2 meanwhile Wisconsin coughs up 5 runs and now down 6-1. They keep finding ways to lose.
  11. Wow - the weight of a potential winless day/night for the organization seems to bringing me down tonight. Hoping Biloxi or Wisconsin can pull out some magic tonight.
  12. Looks like Carolina offense was its usual self - Adamczewski did not play probably a day off? Bjorn Johnson has really been good most of the season, but has some games like today and can’t keep the lead. Wisconsin still not doing much offensively- Blake Burke is still ice cold since the break. M. Rodriguez with a good start but pulled after 5.1 IP, and I didn’t have the game on so I hope it was a pitch count issue and not anything else 🤞 Biloxi also going a little cold offensively. Pratt really hasn’t had much of an impact in a while - long season and the team seems to be in his and Lara’s shoulders. Kuener with a good start at least. After the first inning Patrick seemed to be great with no more walks and only 1 hit allowed through the next 4 innings. Nice bounce back after a rough first. But Nashville bats silent into the bottom of the ninth.
  13. Swing and a miss Fritz get the K. Out#3 and it’s a split of a double header. Shuckers join Mudcats as the only victors tonight.
  14. Hunt out. It’s Fitzpatrick to try to get the save. Let’s go Shuckers!
  15. Ethan Murray. Huge 2-out, 2 strike 2-run HR. Biloxi leads 3-1. Yes sir!
  16. Hunt is doing his best tonight. 6 innings and 7K. Only real blemish was a HR to Colas a 26 who spent the past few years in AAA. It’s only 77 pitches for him as well. I have only watched a few innings here and there but he looked more like KC Hunt. Hoping that the bulldog can find his way back.
  17. Biloxi and Rocket City have two of the youngest players in the Southern - both young Venezuelan leadoff hitting Cfers in Rada and Lara. Just a random observation while watching KC Hunt strike out Rada to go 5 solid, strong innings. The few times I watched tonight, the more he looked today like ‘24 KC Hunt. Just hoping that this form stays the rest of,the season.
  18. Blake Burke in a funk. Since the all star break he’s 3 for 22 with 10 K. And I think 3 GIDP. Everyone goes through it, let’s hope he finds that rhythm again soon.
  19. Looks like Nestor may not make it thru 6. A 3 base error by Daz, and he gives up a hit (I’m not watching it but described as a ball deflected by Zamora). He coulda been out of it. But at 93 pitches I wonder if he’s done for this outing. Health is most important and not a win. And yes Easton McGee is in now.
  20. Nestor in fact pitches the 6th, and after a K, he gives up a HR.
  21. And who comes in for Bryse Wilson - another old friend, Evan McKendry.
  22. Ok. While I waxed poet on young Mr. Mercado, what was lost is the excellent 5 innings by Travis Smith. He has been pitching so well this month. As a college draft pick last year, he could see a move up to Wisconsin if he puts together a couple more solid outings.
