  1. It's a 9-8 lead on the deep sac fly by Pratt. Productive out. Good job of hitting. And Pratt's OPS is now > .700 Happy Birthday Brock, now go hit the ball hard
  2. OK> Boeve rewards my faith. Tie game here. Let's go fellas. 8-8 and the hitters you want to see are up.
  3. If you believe Sweet about the just above average arm, it feels like that injury takes Quero from top 3 prospect in the system, to a good prospect with possible starting catcher and likely back up catcher floor now. That does put more pressure on trying to keep Contreras longer term, and hoping Dinges (and maybe Wood) can continue to develop.
  4. And maybe Yerlin is pitching for Knoxville with 2 HBP and a WP 😳
  5. Good news - 2 runners on for BIloxi (both via HBP). Expected news Adams has a HBP. Bad news- he was hit hard up and inside part of his arm and he went down. Looks like he will stay in. Need to take advantage of this pitcher please please. I came back because @Joseph Zarr talked me off the ledge. Let's reward my faith in you Shuckers!
  6. Wow. Adams can play third base alright, as he tracks down a foul to left and throws home and keep the runner there. One more out to keep this tied. BUT, no a base hit and it's a 8-7 deficit. Brewers lose to Cubs, and the Shucker give up the lead to the Smokies all about the same time. Just crushing my night. OH well
  7. With the big club Brewers losing, and now the Shuckers at risk of giving up the lead the AA cubs, at least the Sounds beat the snot out of the AAA Cubs. Dang it, was really really really hoping for a clean 3-0 cubbies sweep. Maybe not my night.
  8. I am not used to seeing that many green dots INSIDE the strike zone. I count about 5 missed calls the past few innings. And I mean MISSED. And Middendorf gives up the hit and lead. Ugh. Crap. Shoot. 7-7, still no outs, and runner on 3rd base. Yikes. Middendorf removed, but a batter or two too late.
  9. And it comes back to haunt them, as the AZ Reds go out - single -single with error - single- sac fly and it's 2-1 Reds now. Tobias hits a bit of a snag here in his 4th inning. But escapes with a grounder. Nice job Griffin.
  10. Yup went back to watch, and GameDay is correct. Those pitches WERE definitely in the ZONE. And then he finally gets the out. Phew. Tightrope here. EDIT: Sorry meant to write more. Grounder to Boeve and he throws to Middendorf who just beats the runner. Tightrope, but he escapes.
  11. Middendorf truly squeezed by the home plate ump here. Not on you Ryan. But still need to get the next guy, and maybe a favorable call here.
  12. Ugh. Walks in a run. Just missed a strike call on "ball 3" sheesh. Next pitch a ball? Not sure I agree with that. But not executing here. Need to get the out here Middendorf.
  13. but a GIDP makes it like it didn't happen right? 😉
  14. Vaughn - grand slam. 9-0 Sounds!! Ho hum. Crush the cubs Murray makes a nice play on the ball but can't get the runner at first, and bases loaded in Biloxi. Middendorf in after Mendoza Ks the 2nd out, and he induced what almost would have been the inning ending grounder. Need to get the next man. Let's go Ryan
  15. Glued to the Shuckers game. It's one out and a runner on. Now two on and only 1 out. C'mon Abdiel let's get out of this, no more runners. But in the desert Tobias goes 3U 3D ( to quote @sveumrules and someone else??) with 2 more Ks in the 3rd. And Sounds trying to extend the lead, 5-0 after a Quero single. Only one out and bases juiced. Dalbec Ks. But still a chance score more.
  16. And Pratt grounds it up the middle, and it's a "double" (no one covers second base), the CF then throws it late and Spain tries to score and runs out of the basepath to avoid the tag, and he is ruled out. But it's a 2 run hit (officially a double on a grounder up the middle), and I wanted to be greedy and get rewarded - it's 7-4 Shuckers, Yes sir!!
  17. Adams pops out to third. Boeve pops out to short. And two down, Up to Pratt to try to extend the lead. Dang they have a lead, but I want more, is that greedy?
  18. Spain!!! Alright. Shuckers back in the lead. Single to right, 5-4 lead.
  19. Myers with 6 shutout solid innings against a cubs affiliate. Elvin is in the building now. Let's beat Cubbies anywhere and everywhere please please please
  20. Yeah his melt down inning way way back is still stuck in my mind. I guess with Dikember and Yerlin still having the yips I just assumed Anfernny did too. He has been very good in June. I will apologize to Mr. Reyes
  21. And 3 straight strikes and Carolina call game. THAT's how you end a losing streak. Alright. And Dubanewicz his first A ball win!! Woohoo
  22. Seppings closes out the win in West Michigan, DeBerry should have the win. And the offense driven by Areinamo, Dinges and a Garcia - let's just believe it's the CF Yhoswar
  23. And to calm my nerves, Stanley calls on .... Anfernny Reyes 😲
  24. OK. C'mon EThan 1 strike away from ending the game, he gives up a triple. Tying run on third. See - spoke to soon. DO NOT let me watch the Mudcats I am the jinx. 😉
  25. Dang long day at work, and I miss one of the best minor league nights in the past few weeks. T-Rats offense going crazy to help DeBerry with a nice start. And look at those lines of the ACL "D" twins of Dubanewicz and Dorchies, beautiful thing to see them throwing scoreless innings and the Muddies having some offensive output. Maybe I have to STOP watching or following for Payne to break OUT of his slump. And Brock Wilken - career high in HRs - and still half a season to go. Alright young man. And I rarely follow the Sound, but hey they are up 4-0 on a Dalbec bomb. Beating Cubs at ANY level is a good things - let's go Nashville.
