  1. Ok. I’m going to turn off MiLB scoreboard. I watch mis struggle and it’s a 5-0 deficit in Indianapolis. And both Hunt and DeBerry give up first inning HRs. Grrrrr. ok. Ill check scores tomorrow after my trip. let’s see if someone here can bring some good MiLB mojo tonight.
  2. And Miz is out. Elvin in. let’s forget this week for the youngster.
  3. And he walks in two more runs. Still no outs. He’s approaching 70 pitches. Gonna be a start for him to forget. Just don’t have him start in Indianapolis anymore.
  4. Ugh. And now a HBP. Bases juiced. None out. maybe Keith Law is right about miz
  5. Not Miz’s night. He is struggling again against Indianapolis. 4 walks, 3 hits and only 2K in his first 3 innings - and had two on with no out in the third. Yikes.
  6. And the complex kids close it out. 5-1. so the organization goes 5-1 with Sounds losing after a rare blown save by Yoho. So close to the immaculate 6-0 organizational sweep.
  7. Quero goes yard again. 4-1 now. I looked at the scores when I got home and wondered what happened to my ACL Crew…. Nothing they are fine getting runs in bunches.
  8. Coming into the night they were averaging 8 runs per game, just wow.
  9. @Spencer Michaelis - look forward to the podcast. And I assume you have seen or watched him? Will you go over his "stuff" and projectability? His numbers look good as they did in the DSL, but wonder about a lot of smaller pitchers we have in the DSL and the lack of real movement in the middle levels of the minors.
  10. The really cool thing about the ACL Brewers is that the top 3 pitcher in terms of innings are three '24 HS draft picks who are pitching well, and pitching deeper into games. Renz did well tonight and joins Dubanewicz and Dorchies along with Mercedes, Tobias and Mercado as the primary starters/bulk inning pitchers. The offense is led by a few DSL players who are trying to make a name for themselves in the shadows of the stars of that class (Made, Pena, Anderson) in Montero, Ortuno, Encarnacion along with Ibarguen who is hoping to bounce back, and the big bonus babies of Ereu and Quintana. EDIT: Oh yeah some Fielder kid is there too. I think his dad played some baseball.
  11. Yerlin having an inning. He strikes out 2, walks one, 1 HBP, 3 (yes 3) wild pitches, 1 hits, 2 runs in. Last batter makes an out. I was hoping for the strike out which would probably be the most “Yerlin inning” possible (that would have been 3 K and all the walk/HBP/WPs). TRats need to focus on tomorrow night. T A-Crew is doing ACL things now. Up 6-0, make that 7-0
  12. Providing all the offense tonight. HR and a 2-run double. Good to see him healthy and getting the bat going. Hopefully he will be moved up soon. But health is first and foremost, the conditioning and finally results.
  13. Spain gets a HR. But the next three strike out. And Biloxi loses again. 0-3 against one of the worst clubs in the Southern League by W-L record. Yikes
  14. Man Shuckera are giving major 2024 vibes this week. Wilken lead of walk. But Warren GIDP, then Miller Ks. My goodness. I pick the two wrong games to follow at the wrong times this evening 🙄
  15. Figueroa can’t get that elusive 3rd out. Gives up a grand slam. Ugh Trats tie it up on,y to give up 7 runs this inning. Ohwell. The TRats bullpen not having it tonight.
  16. Tyler Bryant comes in and gets the out. But it’s 4-0 Pandas. And this week 1-0 seems like an insurmountable lead against Biloxi And Birchard gets two outs and tries to escape … but he walks the next batter, and it’s 4-1. And walks him on 4 straight. Birchard is out.
  17. A bloop shot to shallow left and it’s 3-1 Peoria and Birchard laboring with still no outs.
  18. Birchard walks a run in And Cruz gives up another 2 out hit for a 2 run single. Yikes. Wheels falling off for Biloxi and Wisconsin.
  19. Ugh. And Stiven Cruz gets the first two batters out then double, walk, single, walk bases loaded and one run in. C’mon let’s end it here and get some runs Shuckers. Man they have been quiet this week
  20. Ryan Birchard gives up single, stolen base, single, passed ball. Runners on 2nd/3rd and no outs. And he walks the next batter. That just encapsulates his struggles doesn’t it. Let’s get out of this with minimal damage.
  21. Wisconsin ties it up. Dinges triples and Baez sac fly. 1-1.
  22. I think this happened to Wisconsin when they played a team with a poor record recently, but Biloxi playing the lowly Trash Pandas (16-29 when entering this week), and the offense goes so cold and they lose the first two games, I mean they were crushing it against Montgomery and Birmingham a few weeks ago if I remember correctly. Baseball is weird huh? Still down 1-0 in this game.
  23. Not sure what to expect of him offensively, but solid catching will help the team, pitchers and defense out. He had good offensive stats in ACL. But was not playing at all (?injury?) as the 3rd catcher for Wisconsin I think. He should get playing time in the Carolina league. Low expectations for him, but will be happy to be surprised. He has done nicely. Looks smooth in defense when I watch him. Along the lines of the new line-up, some of the 'regulars' still around from the early season who have not missed much time - Made, Bitonti and Nadal - have struggling a bit recently. Bitonti looked ready to break out last weekend. Made had such a great April that is decent May may go unnoticed, but while he walking a bit, and still not striking out a ton, fewer hits and far fewer XBH. Although his defense has improved from his first few weeks.
  24. They go down quietly. Oh well. See you tomorrow night.
  25. Biloxi ‘pen doing it. 2.1 IP - Manfredi and Childers. Only 1 hits, 0 BB, and 5 K. The bats have a chance - very slim given the way their bats have gone tonight. It feels like a ‘24 Shuckers game tonight.
