  1. Yeah, because I want my home run leader trying to drop a bunt when the team is down by four runs and in need of a rally. Anderson: "Jason Kendall doesn't swing and miss very much." Um, BA, have you watched the team play this month? He has as many Ks this month as he had in May and June combined.
  2. Hey, Cameron hit the ball. Of course, he was swinging at ball four. But he hit it.
  3. Just tap him on the shoulder, Ned. He just gave the other team an out when his team is down by four runs because he thought it was a good time to do something cute. But just tap him on the shoulder. He probably needs a hug, too.
  4. Don't forget that NFL Network has 54 preseason games airing over 26 days. And college football starts August 28.
  5. Boy, JJ tore the cover off that one.
  6. Harden has only seven strikeouts. What the hell is wrong with him?
  7. Because if Branyan starts, then who is Ned going to call off the bench to try to hit a five-run homer against Marmol in the ninth?
  8. Ack. Say "Good night", Minnesota. Link. Griffey's a 10-and-5 guy, so he has the right to veto the trade.
  9. Maybe this is the wrong thread, but as I sat on my couch mumbling swear words at myself last night, I had a thought. How much of this "selling tickets to Cub fans" trend is related to the fact that FSN doesn't miss televising a Brewer-Cub game? I mean, are these idiots motivated by money and money alone, or the fact that they can make a quick buck AND watch the game on TV? I'd be willing to bet that at least a handful of them are doing this because they know they can make money and see the game without having beer thrown on them. With that in mind, how's about we start blacking out the games? Just a thought. As for "Wrigley North", it is what it is. Complaining about ESPN here seems to be missing the point.
  10. Harden as a Cub: 17.1 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 30 K Yeah, we're screwed.
  11. 1. Do I think the Brewers are more talented? Yes. Do I think Yost is holding them back? Well, name one other major-league manager who would have called for a hit-and-run TWICE with the catcher on first and the pitcher batting. That's just one example. Check the Yost thread for others. 2. Oh, and the defense is generally terrible. Whoever is responsible for that is probably worse at his job than Yost is. 3. I think the Brewers are the most talented team in the NL outside of probably the Mets. That won't get them anywhere unless the manager and about half the team remove their heads from their posteriors.
  12. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y142/CLLCTR5/CENTURY-SERIESp.jpg
  13. I've got some sharp implements if any of you would like to stab Corey. Kapler might not have great July numbers, but it's hard to imagine anyone being worse than Corey Hart is right now. Well, outside of Bill Hall.
  14. And, look, the Hall of Fame game is Sunday. So is Family Night at Lambeau. Go Packers.
  15. Thanks for running us out of the tying run, Yost. Freaking idiot.
  16. With how pathetic these guys are swinging the bat, we'll be lucky to make contact.
  17. You want Ned to bench most of Ned's Gritty Veterans? You heathen!
  18. If he really thought that, he woulda started Counsell at first base. You can't take Bill Hall out of the lineup, because he can really flash the leather.
  19. Dude, we both know he'd just put Weeks in.
  20. Does Kapler have to stab Hart with a pencil in order to get in the lineup for a game?
  21. He doesn't refuse. He just doesn't pick good times or good hitters to bunt.
  22. And Jason Kendall keeps that torrid .171 July going.
  23. Dude, lay off. I'm pretty sure that people are allowed to care, even if they're caring too much at times (GUILTY!). It's not the fans' fault the the team won seven straight road games and heightened expectations. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  24. I'd still rather have something done to the people who sold those seats.
  25. They're moving all the RSNs around. Pretty much every channel in the 600s has been moved over the course of the last month or so. Their website has a list of the whole plan. I haven't bothered to try to make rhyme or reason of any of it, because I figure they know what they're doing.
