  1. I've had DirecTV since April of 2006, and this is the first time they've moved more than a single channel here or there. Braunie gave one to Dumpster there. Where's our slumpbuster?
  2. In the famous words of Joe Namath, I wanna kiss you. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Thanks. That's wonderful!
  3. Please. I stopped hopping up and down in 2002. Now I just sit calmly and swear under my breath. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Holy crap did that ball carry off Hardy's bat. Off the bat, I was wondering if it was deep enough to advance the runner.
  4. I'm not an advocate of that until at least the sixth inning. However, the Molly Shannon Superstar Arms-in-the-Armpits Fold doesn't inspire confidence in leadership. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  5. Hopefully the Cubs will take us back to Brewer failures of yesteryear and wear their sweep suits out of town after tomorrow's game.
  6. As mad as I am at Kendall, he'd probably be the first one to tell you that he did a horsecrap job blocking that pitch. A 20-year-old playing Double-A knows better than to short-arm a ball like that.
  7. Feel free to keep standing there and looking stupid, Ned. It's a fitting appearance for you.
  8. Nice block, Kendall. I'm glad Ned's Gritty Veterans get to play every day, because we all know Mike Rivera isn't worth a crap. Boy, good thing ESPN has a game on that I can watch instead of this garbage. Oh, wait.
  9. Question: Were the Cubs the only team to send players to the All-Star Game? Answer: Duh. No. Follow-up question: Then why did Steve Phillips just excuse the Cubs' slow start in the second half because they were tired from the All-Star Game?
  10. We have had 23 sellouts this year that weren't for Cubs games. Doesn't seem to me that our problem is that not enough people want to attend the games. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. I'm sorry. I live over 400 miles from Miller Park. I'm lucky if I can get there once a year, because while I know many of you find this shocking, my wife doesn't view Milwaukee as an ideal family vacation spot. Beyond that, I have a job that doesn't really allow me to take time off on a whim so I can drive 400 miles with $4 a gallon gas to watch the Brewers, as much as I may want to do that. So, in short, pound sand. If I could, I'd be all over EBay and Craigslist to buy the extra Brewers-Cubs tickets so the Cubs "fans" couldn't get them. Then I'd find the person selling them and punch them. But that's not realistic. What drives me batty is that the Brewers have barely made an effort to stop allowing their franchise to be embarrassed and their stadium overrun by fans of the visiting team, whether it be the Twins or Cubs. Similarly, the Vikings don't do crap about all the Packer fans showing up to the Metrodome, either.
  12. And I'm extremely frustrated, too, so I apologize. Should just take my frustrations to the vent thread, but that would require extra clicking on my part. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif If there's a bright side, we still have eight games left against the Cubs. I'm not sure that's a bright side, but hey.
  13. He won't have to worry about that until he's pitching for the Angels/Yankees/Red Sox/Mets/Dodgers next year.
  14. Perhaps we should just write off the season then. We have no chance. Such a stat has never been overcome. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif By the way, the no-good lucky Twins are beating Chicago again tonight. I wish we sucked like they do.
  15. Ned could run out of the dugout naked and go crawl in the infield dirt and probably not get fired.
  16. Conventional wisdom does odd things to people's minds. We're all human. It happens. Reality is that no one on this team is playing great at their position, outside of perhaps Hardy.
  17. Just like Lilly was dealing. Just like Rodriguez was dealing. Just like Backe was dealing. Just like Glendon Rusch was dealing. Just like Ubaldo was dealing. Twice. "(Name) was just dealing tonight." - Ned Yost
  18. One team has a gameplan for facing an All-Star pitcher. The other looks like a freaking Little League team up there. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why the Cubs are in first place. They're by far the better-coached team. Screw it. I'm watching something else.
  19. Um, yeah. Seems like Ned has the bass-ackwards book on when to bunt and when not to bunt.
  20. Wouldn't that require a hit at some point?
  21. Isn't Ray Durham on the team? Is he hurt? Is it in his contract that he doesn't play on Mondays for religious reasons? If not, then where the hell was he in the ninth when we needed someone who could make contact against Marmol, instead of whatever that was that Bill Hall was doing?
  22. By the way, let me be the first to propose that we hunt down all the "Brewer fans" who sold their tickets to Cub fans and revoke their season tickets for perpetuity.
  23. Who cares? I mean, let's not get all messed up over one game out of ten we have left against them. I'm all for intensity, but perspective, people. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. Soto took strike three there. Ridiculous.
  25. I'm smelling frustration on the board. At least we aren't getting beat by the Diamondbacks while making Randy Johnson look like he's 28.
