  1. I agree with twobrews; Bucks mgmt might have decided to give it a go with what they have and see if they can get in. Certainly would help with most of the fan base.
  2. Elson has been pretty solid. Kind of out of leftfield too.
  3. RJ was pretty tough last night!
  4. Interesting. From the way outside, Eric seems to be a pretty good egg. Hope he can find a role at some point this season.
  5. Good point. That was Ned's approach for most of last year. I wonder if Macha and Castro will do the same.
  6. Yoyo49, the top four guys in the rotation work on (usually) the same day during the season. The #5 guy steps in as needed so guys don't have to work on short rest. I know you know that, but that's why the difference between that amount of starts (if everyone stays healthy) is at most one start over the length of a season (from #1 to #4). So, there is little if any measurable difference between 1-4. Given that no team last year had all there top for take all the turns scheduled, that 'difference' really disappears.
  7. What Logan said. I don't understand the fixation with who is 1, 2, 3 or 4. I wonder if the 'Crew would like to carry 2 LHRP? If so, I'd think Coffey, Dillard and Juilo are going to battle for the last 2 spots. Chad Cordero could really increase the competition in the pen.
  8. I'm hoping I can construct a similar plan. Now that I am over 40, I need one day off a week from fandemonium, so I'm trying to sign a back-up to take my place here and there. I need more in the tank come September.
  9. Yankees sign him an he goes on to win 15 games.
  10. I assume Corey will root for his meal ticket.
  11. Very interesting. Seems that application of some sort of saber-metrics to basketball is/will be much more of a challenge then baseball.
  12. I wonder how important it is for the Bucks to sneak in the playoffs and get a couple of home playoff games? Would that be worth trying to ride the group out and make deals in the off-season?
  13. Its going to come down to a choice (at this point) between Sessions and CV.
  14. 2.99 million. So close...
  15. Just from Vinny's perspective this might be to his advantage as there seemed to be a pretty good roadblock(s) for him in Milwaukee. Given the right team and need, he should have a better shot at that #25th roster spot someplace else. He is a local kid, so lot's of fans around here ( LAX) do pine for him.
  16. That might be true, but it sure seems that teams tend to find a way to get by w/o a top-notch 4 but can't be successful unless they can lock down the point. I know the Bucks seem to have had issues over the years getting a body @ the #1 but for the most part have had #3's and #4's.
  17. Ye, I've watched Mo a bit and he sure fits in with the Cavs. Basketball that this level seems to depend greatly on the right players in the right place.
  18. To me Danny is the worst deal still on the roster (but I'm not a fan of Bell either). RJ can do some things that has some appeal. I'm not sure why the Bucks have played so well on offense the last three games, but hats off to them. Sure are brining it right now.
  19. Any money ever given to Gary Sheffield.
  20. Remember the Mavs were going to sign Redd to whatever their max was (obviously less then what Milwaukee could offer) so the Bucks had to go high back at that time. IMO Redd is one of the better players in the league. However, there are few players that really can carry a franchise solo. Redd can't. But neither could Big Dog, Ray, Tim Thomas, Sam I am or Vin Baker. They all got top or near-top dollar while in Milwaukee too. Redd is a nice start, but has to have more to go with him. I'm just not a fan of Bell, so I was hoping he'd go to Miami. Then when he popped off, I thought Flint would have been better. Hats off to Sessions so far. I didn't think he had this much 'game' in him. I'll guess we will see how it plays out but so far, pretty sweet. I wonder how many teams start two 2nd-round picks?
  21. My guess is that you would be right on. The 'big guys' will get paid; it's that second-level and marginal play that is going to struggle to find a payday. As far as who to keep...I'd assume they will try to tie up either CV or RS. I like CV's game a bit more, but my guess is they simply can't go over the cap and will not be able to clear out RJ or Danny G (not including Bell). Really, this off-season is more digging out from under Harris.
  22. At this rate Malik Allen is going to end up @ the point.
  23. Well I know this is how I act when stading in a long line at Kwik Trip...
  24. I wonder if I could sell sponsorships to myself? Could use a little extra coin. I'd be happy to introduce myself "as presented by Hamm's, the beer refreshing."
