    At worst we will be playing meaningful baseball until the 19th at the earliest if we lose out. Even if we dont make it, its been a helluva year.

    Eh, I don’t think so. I think almost any manager would still let a pitcher run it up to 115 or so...per usual. No manager is going to do it when you are at 100 after 6 innings not before and not now. But you never see pitch counts get that high anymore. If you have even one laborious inning you have no shot to complete the game. Personally I think each person is different but for what its worth, both of Fiers no nos were in the 130s for pitch count.

    Weird stat that doesn't mean a darn thing. Braun has just as many RBIs against Danchez in 2 ABs than Cain and Moose combined in 44 ABs.

    I cant decide if I like McDonalds coffee or not. When I'm out it's cheap, but they tend to overroast their beans, in my opinion. What's everybody's goto coffee when they aren't at home?

    I believe our OF set with Braun Cain Yelich Grisham and Gamel. I believe our plan B for catcher is all internal (Pina/Frietas) but might go external if financials allow (Yaz or otherwise) Thames, Arcia, Huira,Shaw are set. I wouldn't mind Moose back but dont see it as nessecary to have him specifically back. Could use somebody either to man the left side. I believe money will go to pitching first, but as Stearns has shown, the right deal comes along, he will pounce.

    This year reminds me of the year the packers squeaked out a division win at 8-7-1. Just have to win the war of attrition. I think our 40 man roster will give us a big boost in September.

    I learned this awhile back that the english language doesn't have a separate 2nd person plural (you and you) Even though I'm not a lick of southern, I will occasionally say "you all" or y'all when I need to stress the plurality of you. That being said I never write out y'all. That would bug me too

    Sorry man, my bad. Figured you didn't want it, and I didn't want to let it go to waste. P.S.: Wouldn't kill you to have a couple mini snickers or a ding dong or whatever for dessert. I'll remember that for next time. Losing my lunch wasnt a big problem but my lunch container is gone too.

    That's not what will happen though. There's coin flips to determine home field in those situations. MLB will do a release in a couple weeks regarding all the potential teams involved and who will play who and where. Looking at it geographically, Arizona is the only outlier being so far west.

    I treat the minors like I do preseason football games. If they win, that's encouraging but not a big deal if they don't. That being said, I appreciate all the hard work tabulating this.

    I would approach Hiura about it in the off season but would at least wait a year or two on Trent.

    I left work yesterday before lunch and left my lunch there. Today it isn't there.

    I seriously considered majoring in music (along with Mechanical Engineering) but multiple people in the music world told me that it wasnt worth it if I couldn't devote my life to it and even then it would be a crapshoot. Now that there's 10+ years between me and my graduation, I do play the what if game and wondered what Id be doing now if I went the music route.

    I think in a different alternate reality Suter could win a gold glove. He fields his position well, he hustles, and makes some spectacular plays as well

    My take is a bunch of smallish moves that hopefully will work out without mortgaging our future too badly. It's going to be a crapshoot in the NL so makes sense not too "waste" too many prospects on a losing endeavor. Time will tell if the stars align and make it to the playoffs
