  1. I'm starting it. BADS - Brett Anderson Derangement Syndrome. BADS is the new Godwin's Law? Given the cards kept usually close to the vest, I fully expect the acquisition to be a surprise.
  2. Thank you guys! Dealing with a lot of stuff lately and it's nice to things turning around.
  3. 2 through 4 point out drafting great players doesnt always equate success.
  4. I think too often all of us backseat GMs have a video game mentality of what can be accomplished. So far, the Brewers were accurate that their non tenders weren't worth the assumed arby deals. Just because X player signed with Y team for Z dollars, doesnt mean it was possible for the brewers to meet/want to beat that offer. That being said, I wish Nelson the best and for his sake I hope he does well enough to earn the most that he can.
  5. Man are the White Sox making moves this offseason. I can easily see the Southsiders with the better record than their counterparts.
  6. I wonder how much the average Starbucks customer spends on average. I'm fine with plain black coffee, but their new drinks are getting more and more expensive.
  7. I think your first statement hits the nail on the head. For all the flak Lucas gets (and rightfully so, IMO) he at least had a relatively clear plan after New Hope. I thought EP 9 was the best of the sequel trilogy but I think the biggest mistake was splitting up the directorship.
  8. I am in behavioral therapy and made my therapist cry because she was so happy to see the improvements I've made.
  9. With this type of coherence, how could I not trust everything he has to say? I prefer my rumors from someone with at least a 3rd grade writing ability too. That is impressively bad and I actually am struggling to understand what exactly he is saying. Just basing this on this one tweet, it sounds like he is in high school, maybe.
  10. Sounds like a similar situation Dallas was in after trading Walker to Minnesota long ago in an era far away. But the real question is if Miami can draft well or not. I knew Dallas did very well but I had to look exactly what happened. They used a 1st round pick to trade up to get Emmitt Smith in 1990. They used a couple of picks to trade up to get Russell Maryland #1 in the 1991 draft. They trade picks with Atlanta to get Kevin Smith and Darren Woodson in 1992. That's also not including a smattering of other smaller key role players as well over that 3 year span.
  11. Just perusing the 2020 draft picks and after the 'failed tanking' Miami has the 5th pick along with the 18th pick from the highway robbery of Pitt, and an end round pick from Houston. Meanwhile Oakland is sitting with their 12th and the Bears 19th pick along with 3 3rd round picks. Both of those teams if they can hit on their picks, should do remarkably better the next couple of years. Last 2 times Detroit had a top 3 pick, they got Stafford and Suh. Could a star and a healthy Stafford propel them to be meaningful? Meanwhile, technically the best the Packers could get is the 25th draft pick but that only happens if all the road teams win in a massive anti-chalk extravaganza. Realistically if the Packers were to lose, we would be looking at the 27-28th pick.
  12. I agree that it should be more black and white but there is precedent that they recognize intent over what happened when they allowed Dallas the ball in the 2nd half after Dak wanting to kick the ball.
  13. Would you want to stay in New Jersey? Point taken though.
  14. RoLo's hook shot has become a thing of beauty.
  15. I think that the point that most of people are getting at, is that from year to year there are different amounts of teams in the top tier. This year arguably was 3. Past couple of years was most likely a couple more. No matter if its 2,4,6, or 8; There are going to be some years where some team is in the playoffs despite not being in the top level, and some years where somebody deserving will get shut out. All this, IMO.
  16. I ALMOST feel bad for Detroit with all their blown leads this year. ALMOST.
  17. For what it's worth, I think the 6th seed just changes the order and venue if we are the 3rd seed. At Minn, At West, At NO
  18. Whenever I'm feeling down, I watch that clip and it genuinely cheers me up. Just the feral scream "NOOOOO!" warms the cockles of my heart.
  19. Unless he is Smoak-ing the ball into the gap or over the wall!

  21. I like those incentives. I'm assuming CC will not be continually plugging him into the rotation if he is inadequate

  23. I saw the title and imagined him saying in his best Bond voice, "My name is Julio, julio Teheran" In all seriousness, time will tell but given the contracts, I'd go with Anderson.
