  1. This new defensive coordinator is a genius. His game plan of forcing a turnover ever defensive series is going win us a superbowl.
  2. Even with the caveat that Clifford was constantly under pressure, he still didn't look good.
  3. Withdrawal. It's been a long offseason and any football is good football, at least for a few plays.
  4. Do we have any starters or starterish playing today?
  5. You are correct. A half game would better indicate who is ahead. If you give them the full game then if we were to be a game ahead you wouldn't think we would be tied, but using that math we would be.
  6. A friend was talking about a 3-way tie at the top and I did some of the leg work and figured I would drop it here. Ok, just to set the stage a bit, we are 3-4 vs LA and 0-3 vs Philly with 3 to go. Philly is 5-1 vs LA. If Philly wins 1 vs us they get the 1 seed and then LA beats us head to head for the 2. If we sweep, then it goes to ranked by overall winning % between the 3 teams, which Philly would be 1 and we would be 2 and LA 3, however I think that means Philly gets the 1 and then LA gets the 2 by winning the head to head between us. Since the west is kind of tight here are those scenarios, Philly is 3-4 vs Zona and 5-1 vs SD. We are 2-5 vs SD and have yet to play any of our 7 games vs Zona. So obviously if Zona wins the west and ends in a 3 way tie we could end up the 1 seed still in a ton of scenarios, and 2 in some more. If it's sd, I think it all works out exactly like the LA scenarios. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-playoff-tiebreaker-rules all info is contingent that I interpreted this links wording correctly and nothing has changed from last year.

  7. So, with the Olympics blocking the Packers from being on NBC, it seems my options are watching on ion TV or stream via Packers.com only on a desktop. I don't own a desktop and it seems the ion TV on YouTube TV is more of a national stream than local because it has law and order on it. Any suggestions on how I can watch the game?
  8. That was amazing. Just easy speed to blow past everyone at the end.
  9. I hate the all white uniforms and a white helmet makes it worse.
  10. I've watched quite a bit of the rugby in the past few Olympics and while I'm not an expert I can give some analysis. Getting a breakaway like that happens a lot. There isn't a safety position, because the game is designed to be passed horizontally till you can find a break in the line or just outrun them to the edge, so it's close to everyone being manned up 1 on 1 and no way to have one. The clock is essentially meaningless in that it's not like where football once she's tacked the play is over. A "play" in this sense is almost like an offensive series. The game ends if the other team is able to gain position and, usually, kicks it out of bounds. At the end of the first half it is the same and the team with the ball is able to try and score to end the half, but sometimes the other team is able to win possession and score too. Ultimately it could probably be more looked at as a walkoff home run as opposed to a hail Mary, because they were able to score it in one big burst as oppossed to "small balling" it down the field.
  11. I will also throw a shout out to the Brewers brass. I know there were some, myself included, who were wondering if some AAA time might be best for him and/or if continuing to take his lumps at the major league level would hurt his confidence too much, but ultimately they made what looks like the correct decision by letting him stay up and work through it. He us a joy to watch and I'm glad we have him locked up for about the next decade.
  12. Are these amounts just the straight bonus pool or did you already calculate the overage we can spend without losing a draft pick?
  13. I'm fine with Williams right back in the closers role when he comes back. Megill has been good, but not good enough to keep it.
  14. I so thought that fan screwed us.
  15. Hopefully our offense can break out of their funk. Can you believe they haven't scored a run since last sunday!? Thankfully the pitching also hasn't given up a run in that time and we haven't lost a game.
  16. Cultural Impact: For good or ill, is the player's legacy about more than just his stats? Juice or No Juice: Was the player connected to performance-enhancing drugs? These probably explain why there's no Braun.
  17. That is where I grew up and went to high school. I hope he signs, I would have a new favorite minor leaguer.
  18. I'm ok with this. We pretty much got what we wanted out of him, but yesterday's start showed why we can't stick with him long. 5th spots next start would be July 24th so plenty of time for them to trade for someone or stick hall back in.
  19. Are you suggesting trading Myers for Kikuchi? I'm on board trading for him, but why would we trade Myers for him. It defeats the purpose.
  20. If that same happens to Hoskins that will be good for next years team because he probably won't be opting out at his current pace.
  21. Stupid angels don't care about those of us who can't stay up to watch late games. Didn't give us an afternoon game on getaway day.
  22. My son has a sudden vendetta against faucets. He damaged the kitchen sink yesterday, can no longer transition between spray and normal. And tonight completely broke off the cold handle of one of the bathroom faucets.
  23. If they was to clump together at the bottom of the league I wouldn't try to stop them.
