  1. I find it mildly amusing that fox is basically competing against itself with Thursday night football on fox and the ALDS on FS1
  2. Oh. Gilmore from the patriots. I didn't realize that convo had bleed into the packer thread.
  3. Instead of being released, ESPN is reported he is now traded to the panthers for a 2023 6th.
  4. Game: in lightning delay. ESPN talking heads: stand in the middle of the field.
  5. Yes, it's enforced from the change of possession. It's why the officials throw the blue bean-bag on any C.O.P. I didn't go back but I thought I remembered him saying "from the end of the run" which would obviously be wrong . now we know, and knowing is half the battle. He did say from the end of the kick.
  6. Stokes with the no look pick lol. About as easy as they come though.
  7. I like how washington was signaling for a first down when he was 2 yards short even with that reach.
  8. What a beast play by gary!
  9. Boston and New York both win. Lame.
  10. Yankees have second and third with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th in a 0-0 game. Do the rays just let them have it so they can avoid extra innings?
  11. Assuming there was no actual offsides, it seems like it might be an issue of the other team knowing when the snap is coming, as opposed to blocking. So might be an easy fix of adding some more variability in the snap.
  12. There's generally a little bit of leeway. Centers have some ability to move the ball as long as it's not a "fake snap" type thing. Depends on what the exact movement was and it's really a judgment call if the refs even see it.
  13. That’s what I always thought. I couldn’t tell on the second one but the first sure looked like he was back onside before the ball was snapped. It didn’t matter as that was the TD though. I know on the first one when he crossed the line the RT flinched, so that would be an offsides even if he got back. the 2nd one shouldn't have been, but ultimately didn't matter. Awww.. didn’t catch the jump. That makes sense. When the OL jumped they play should have been called dead shouldn’t it? No, because it's not a false start penalty its offsides. It is still called dead if the offense moves before the snap, just called off sides in that situation.
  14. Did they not have a down the line camera for that? Seems like they normally do, so why not on the fg attempt?
  15. I didn't listen to what the ref said but what you're saying isn't how holding is enforced. He said enforced from the end of the kick, which caught me off guard. Not sure if that's a new thing or because of where/when the hold happened.
  16. I'm assuming they are can be around in case of an outbreak, but if they are around doesn't that make them susceptible to being part of the outbreak?
  17. Vegas Insider has the Brewers between +225 to +245. Looks like the only team with longer odds today are the Orioles at +275 to +300 vs Toronto. Vegas Insider NL Pennant Odds... LAD +165 | SFG +300 | MIL +300 | ATL +600 | STL +1000 Wonder how much LA's odds change if they have to go through the wild card game versus winning the West? [sarcasm]Probably zero since they would have to play the cards.[/sarcasm]
  18. And that was after a defensive holding on 4th down to give them another chance. And then the vikings went 3 and out, got the browns in a 3rd and 20 and hunt ran for 33 tards on a draw Browns got a field goal and get the ball coming out of the half too. All this happened in the last 1:30 of the half.
  19. Burnes ERA is sitting at 2.43, just .03 ahead of scherzer. Full on speculation, but cc pulled him with the ERA lead while he had it back, but still getting some work in. I feel like, baring a 3 pitch inning or close, he only would have been in for 1 more inning based on his pitch count, and I feel like cc would feel bad if he threw him back out there for the third and he gave up a run and lost the lead.
  20. Burnes will finish his season with a 2.43 ERA, currently in first and I think should stay in first guaranteed without a dodger game 163. Maybe not. Buehler is only .06 behind him and is scheduled for tomorrow which I didn't notice.
  21. [sarcasm]Is ccs plan to just not send anyone up there and forfeit the rest of the game?[/sarcasm]
  22. I don't think it's easy to go out there with nothing on the line, just trying to stay healthy and perform like "normal". I'm not bothered by how we are playing, except I was hoping burnes would put in a nice performance for the Cy young. It's just a question if, they indeed are coasting, they can "flip the switch" come Friday.
  23. Do we know which teams are which letter in the theoretical 4 way tie? In this scenario, I wonder if MLB is hoping yanks play the Sox just so 1 of them us guaranteed to be in the wild card game or if they are still hoping for a yanks-Sox actual wild card game. I'm personally rooting for a jays-Ms wild card game.
  24. Was he the guy from like new Mexico or something that Anderson recruited? Whatever happened to him? Did he even end up coming here?
  25. He probably started Justin Fields at QB.......... Maybe he's a 9ers fan?
