  1. I was initially very angry at him, but reading some of these comments have cooled me off a bit. It sucks, hopefully we can cover and he is able to pitch in the world series and we will have all forgotten about this in about 30 days. I guess we are going to have to add bubble wrap to all future celebrations now.
  2. Now that both teams have nothing left to play for, we stand a better chance at least.
  3. Well, if tonight is any indication, burnes won't have much of a chance to shine. Probably only about 4 innings or 60ish pitches.
  4. [sarcasm]He's definitely tanking to spite the team.[/sarcasm]
  5. Looking at the schedules I would agree. They can sweep the Ms to get past them, but the NY- Jays series will either put the yanks out of reach and pass/tie the Jays or bring g the yanks closer, but still behind the Jays. And then you might still need the Sox to choke against 2 very bad teams.
  6. At first I was wondering why time was called so quickly since the cubs runner never even stopped on the base, but I'm guessing it was because the ump mistakenly called him out whereas if he had called him safe the player would have, likely, made an attempt to stay on the bag.
  7. Can they? Don't think you can call back to back timeouts.
  8. Glad he was able to score there, cause no way we would have stopped them and at least we have some chance.
  9. Any bets on this being over turned? At this point I wouldn't be surprised.
  10. One of the best parts is this is an afternoon game and with the day off tomorrow they can enjoy it for a good long while.
  11. Holy crap tucker makes a 66 yard field goal to beat the lions. It bounces off the crossbar, up and over. And I was just coming to say what an ugly last few plays for them. The wr not getting out of bounds and the play with 7 seconds left not even looking like they actually wanted to gain a few yards.
  12. I didn't understand what the chargers were doing, but that missed extra point may have been the reasoning.
  13. I gave up on Callaway heading into this week, so of course he finally does something.
  14. Sweet that means I can watch it. So they'll likely lose now. Sorry. [sarcasm]You could always just not watch it still. Give the team a chance.[/sarcasm]
  15. Well, there will be 1 new team in the playoffs this year at least. (Probably just be Georgia or something like that though.)
  16. This defense is legit man. If the offense ever figures it out we could be good, real good.
  17. So long number 3! Don't let the door hitcha on the way out!
  18. This was all part of operation give the cards a big head going into the playoffs so they beat the dodgers, but then lose in epic heartbreak fashion in game 5 to the giants. Yes, it is a mouthful.
  19. That sounds like a terrible way to run waivers. I'm assuming players who play Sunday aren't processed on monday and have to wait right?
  20. Probably still Brady of drafted qbs. Don't know if there are any undrafted or 7th rounders starting. Looked it up, depending if you include currently injured qbs, it's Fitz as a 7th rounder otherwise his backup, current start heinicke was undrafted. Including Tua and Wentz, there are 21 first round current starters, fields would make it 22.
