  1. MVP - Yellich MIP - Cain Cy Young - Hader
  2. I go IF (6) - Aguilar, Moose, Shaw, Schoop, Perez, Arcia OF (5) - Cain, Yelich, Braun, Granderson, Santana C (2) - Pina/Kratz SP (4) - Chacin, Miley, Anderson, Gio BP (8) - Hader, Knebel, Jeffress, Burnes, Soria, Cedeno, Jennings, Woodruff The reason I go Santana is we will need offense. Broxton is a great OF but can't hit and it isn't like Cain, Yelich, Braun and Granderson are bad OF's. Now if we are arguing for adding Broxton to pinch run, then maybe.
  3. Nice play Perez. Arcia can’t hit but CC should have brought him in over taking out Chase
  4. Depends which ones are Yankees and which ones are worthless non prime time teams like us #Truth
  5. I have heard this too...regardless of the baseball aspect I love the acquisition of such a good person. +1 - it always seems like the loosest teams just make their way in. If this roster clicks in September they could beat anyone
  6. I don’t know the correct call but the Umpire gave this explanation I guess that seems right although, as the pitch was coming inside I felt he continued to offer at the pitch and at the last split second started retreating and then the ball hit the bat. Very odd play
  7. same here, and pitchers going from 0-2 counts to walking people. lol. bad day at the office Here are a few plays: 1. Ground ball directly to where the SS would be but instead Schoop was shifted to hole between 3rd and SS. Shaw was playing SS but just off of 2nd. Neither Schoop or Shaw really jumped to go get ground ball and watched it dribble through. 2. Fly ball to shallow CF that Shaw couldn't get and neither could Cain who was playing deep 3. Another fly ball to shallow CF that Shaw should have caught but lost it in sun
  8. no kidding. Unreal. You have 2 games in 4 days and we are saving arms?
  9. replay showed the tag hit his arm. It was clear as day.
  10. I am at the game and a cubs fan was yelling at Aguilar this whole 8th inning after he got his hit and was on first. I couldn’t hear what he was saying but Rizzo and the ump both told him to knock it off
  11. Possibly just curious on the stats that he is seeing first pitch strikes lately. He never swings
  12. Why doesn’t Jesus swing on 0-0 counts? I feel they now just pitch him perfect strikes on 0-0 as he never swings
  13. I am on the no side as well. Hiura is the type of igniter that can carry teams by always hitting, moving runners and being on base
  14. I am excited for: CF Cain RF Yelich 1B Aguilar 2B Shaw LF Braun 3B Moustakas C Pina SS Arcia This lineup should be fun to watch
  15. I like this trade. Moose hitting in Miller Park will be fun. A LH bat will be a good add. And also the 40 man issue at end of season. Can’t wait to see what happens the next few days
  16. I was listening to the radio with Uecker on interviewing Jenkins tonight. Geoff made a comment that when he played “pitchers were taught to pitch the ball low in the zone to induce ground balls as hitting coaches instructed hitters to “flatten” their swing. Today hitting coaches are teaching launch angle which leads to pitchers pitching up in the zone to induce more fly balls and strike outs. And this is the reason that we are seeing the strike out totals so high.” Anyhow, I haven’t really put much thought into why are K totals so high these days but this makes sense and figured I would post
  17. I think we need Torts to hop on here and give us some optimism but maybe he has given up as he is in Pitt and has seen it live
  18. Eh. It’s the brewers and they always fall on their face. Last year it was after the break, this year before. At least this time they have the break to regroup.
  19. I wonder how many times a team has been swept in a 5 game series. I would guess, not many
  20. I saw this list - which has 3 Brewers https://www.mlb.com/news/july-2-international-prospects-signing-tracker/c-283495622
  21. I watched the game (and even went back and watched all the Rockies hits)- it just seemed like any mistake he made the pitch was hammered. To me when a pitcher throws high 90’s and has a secondary pitch (slider in his case) that has enough bite, he will see success. So why isn’t Woodruff? To me I think for now he has a tell on his pitches like mechanical changes based on pitch type - and his pitching mechanics overall are not allowing him to command the inside and outside corner of the plate which is critical for a fastball pitcher. I always thought this article laid out his pro’s and con’s well https://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/pitcher-spotlight-the-pros-and-cons-of-brandon-woodruff/ I like Woodruff, he just needs to fix his mechanics a little
