  1. Anyone in to stick someone at 2nd and see who can hit him in? #NewRules
  2. That is the key isn't it. They should just have a rule, if I watch it 3 different views of it and still can't tell that should answer it for you right there. There isn't the indisputable evidence you need
  3. I feel usually the Brewers are on the opposite end of that call normally - glad we got one. Hard to overturn though as you just couldn't really see it his grass even in super slow motion
  4. unreal. I am just not a fan of Barnes. I feel he is fine with no one on base but not with guys on
  5. I am really liking Taylor Williams. This guy can sling it. He could be an awesome piece this year - keep it up!
  6. That’s fair. They did over achieve. I think many just wish the simple mistakes would reduce but they haven’t. And errors and bad defense is contagious.
  7. Dynamite drop in Monty, that broadcast school is really starting to pay off. J/K fella’s, that’s just the first thing that came to mind when I read that. Anyhow, I get what you are saying and Counsell is semi an untouchable with the whole growing up a Brewer fan. I just hope Stearns and Antanasio expect real results. The defensive miscues along with the high K rate and inability to hit with runners in scoring position is maddening. I just wish for once the Brewers could get a real manager and not these replacement level managers
  8. They have an error in every game but 1. It is the source of my frustration.
  9. Agreed he has to do better but we have a 1 and a 2 in Anderson and Davies and then 3 guys who you could flip a quarter on being 3-5 in him, Woodruff and Suter. You just need 2 of them to pitch well so the other can be replaced by Nelson in June
  10. Ji Man is going to take that starting spot from Villar. Leash has to be short on Villar
  11. Saw this on twitter and in the Spring Training thread and was curious on everyone's thoughts as this is actually happening. I am all for it but will be curious in how the final roster breaks down as what are we going to do with Aguilar?
  12. Job well done by the creative team of the Brewers
  13. I am disappointed in this. Villar strikes out once per game on average and has now 5 years in the big leagues with mediocre results. 3 of those years had a sub .700 OPS. Neil Walker has never had a sub .700 OPS. Actually the more I think about it the more I am even more confused. The part I don't get is Stearns goes after Broxton, Santana and Thames (Which I was 110% in agreement with because they strike out to much for my liking) but then sticks with Villar. I am sorry I just don't get it.
  14. AL East: Yankees AL Central: Indians AL West: Angels WC1: Red Sox WC2: Astros NL East: Nationals NL Central: Brewers NL West: Dodgers WC1: Cardinals WC2: Diamondbacks Down go the Cubs!
  15. I am in favor of this as to me there is a pace of play problem not a length of play problem. NHL and NBA are basically fast tempo as the play is non stop. The NFL has built a product that has 11 guys play another 11 guys with a mass amount of stuff going on that you can watch 3 replays of the same play and see something different each time. Baseball has had 10+ minute ABs. It’s annoying and the data side has nudged so far into the game to me it has affected the pace of play. So I am in favor of changes that help speed up the tempo.
  16. How so? 6 years sounds like a lot but 21M per is far under even the most conservative projection. I agree and I don’t get the thinking of I’m glad the Cubs got a career 3.4 ERA pitcher and am glad the Brewers didn’t. He will improve your team but this is what is continuously wrong with baseball. The Cubs can screw this up and sign someone next year or they didn’t screw it up and he is awesome for them for years. Either way they don’t really lose
  17. 100% this. Fans who already wanted to go to Cubs games were going to go, presale or not. There are a ton of Cubs fans in Wisconsin, they will also be able to get presale tickets. People who don't want to go to these games will just buy these tickets and then put them on craigslist or stubhub or whatever and they'll go to the highest bidders, likely Cubs fans. The Brewers twitter account seems completely obsessed with the Cubs lately which is embarrassing. I disagree that it wont have any affect. Well I guess it depends on what you mean by affect. To me even if a couple hundred extra Brewers fans end up at Miller Park it's a success. I went to the Cubs / Brewers games last September and they were fantastic. Just an amazing time / great camaraderie / great atmosphere. We have dialoged about Cubs fans at Miller Park in many posts on this board but I still agree with the thought that it won't ever really change unless the Brewers are really successful and fans would rather watch the product on the field than make a few bucks. I am glad the Brewers are trying to do something. That September series starting on labor day could be awesome again this year. I may buy a few tickets in this presale to get them at normal cost vs the high markup to get them last year. And my two cents if you go to the Cubs games is upgrade to the 100 or 200 level. I normally have a fine time in those seats when at a Cubs game. It's the 400 level where I have had and see more problems than I can count.
  18. https://brewers.mlblogs.com/wisconsin-residents-presale-opportunity-begins-tomorrow-9a746c91d8cb Even though some Brewers fans will buy and in turn sell them, for those that want to go to the game, at least get the first crack at the better seats. Will be interesting to see how much of an effect this will have. Ultimately the success vs non success of each team plays the ultimate role, but this may help a little bit
  19. At the end of the day baseball scores of 7 to 6 are better than 2 to 1 like a football score of 33 to 32 vs 9 to 3. The general public likes scoring and that is a way to increase it in the NL. Plus the fact pitchers get hurt hitting so the players union would be for it
