  1. I mean, I get being disappointed, but a team offense playing well for 15% of a season does NOT get to the playoffs. That's just terrible hyperbole. Not really. All the success this team has had has been totally in spite of their hitters.
  2. The pitchers, which are mostly rookies or close to, are dominating. The offense, that is full of veterans, is not.
  3. Brewers offense is embarrassing and was for about 85% of 2018. No one should be surprised at how many runs we aren't scoring.
  4. Like how he mentioned Hill has a nice curve like Sandy Koufax as if the Dodgers specifically try to acquire these types of pitchers Or, you can't shift in the playoffs because someone will get a big hit by beating the shift. Just shut up. You're an idiot.
  5. Dodgers are up 1-0 and have been on the cusp of breaking this game open every inning. Yet, they look like they're about to get swept out of the playoffs.
  6. You've watched this team the last couple seasons, right? Mediocre or worse pitchers are their kryptonite.
  7. As annoying as you lot are, I prefer your commentary to that of my wife. She couldn't tell a Gio Gonzalez from a Freddy Peralta and is barely even paying attention to the game but feels inclined to look up from Facebook or whatever every now and then to yell something barely relevant to what's going on.
  8. The good news is, the rate this game is going my decision of whether or not to stay up for the end of it has already been made. Look forward to reading about a Brewers win in the morning.
  9. You all can hate on Gio all you want but I love that they practically had to drag him off the field.
  10. The guys Rodgers has thrown to have been very good, but no one great. Big Ben, Brady, Brees all had much better WR's and all have had a solid running game at some point. Lacy had one good year, Starks put together a string a good games to win a super bowl, and maybe Rogers was QB when Ryan Grant was around, I don't remember. Otherwise there has been zero ground game for Rodgers to work with.
  11. Not really. The broadcast people don't like how much the bullpen is being used overall while the IGT is about who and when they are being used. Two different issues.
  12. If we are sitting in a retirement home and chatting about the old days that’s fine but you’d think they’d add one stats guy to add to the broadcast. I loved the statcast broadcast of course anything is better than the normal ESPN crew. Baseball has an older audience and I don't think the vast majority of them want to hear about all these new fangled stats and shifts and things. I imagine the crowd that actually watches pre and post game shows skews much older than the average viewer too. Look how much crap Brian Kenny gets because he dares to use things like statistics to form his opinions and base his show. People want to feel comfortable and hear about things like grit and who wants it more and bunting and playing the right way.
  13. The guys announcing games are at least one generation of baseball behind the current times, if not more. They're not hating, they're just not happy that "this isn't the game I played", so therefore it's being played wrong and they need to point that out.
  14. I agree we do right now, but that's kind of the point of "bullpenning" is that you don't really need talent for it to work. The numbers show pretty much any MLB pitcher can shut down a lineup one time through.
  15. There's a hot take if I ever saw one! After Jeffress walked Puig, Jeremy stared him down to about halfway up to first base. I have no idea why he did that. Perhaps there is something to this "woke Jeremy up" thing. I mean, he really locked it in after that.
  16. Watching him in the dugout right now, he looks more like he has turds in his pants and pee running down his leg.
  17. CC can't be afraid to bring in his closer, who has been fantastic all year, when it's 4-0. He should also not be afraid to take him out when he doesn't have it.
  18. He meant it would give the Brewers' RHP relievers a big advantage later on if Hader was in their first and LAD ph'ed for their LHB's earlier. If that's what you're referring to. That was to whoever said that he struggles against RHB or something like that.
  19. I don't see Goldschmidt bringing back that great of a return unless a bunch of teams get in a bidding war. He's got one year left and he plays a position (with no defensive versatility) that is more often than not a platoon position these days or at least one where teams aren't committing lots of resources to. Jose Abreu is out there too, if both are available that drives the price down for both. I'd really hesitate to give up any pitchers but our offense is flat our embarrassing so often I might. Especially if Moose isn't back.
