  1. Yes. It is hard 99% of the time to be a fan of that franchise. Sometimes I wish we were like the Browns - never even a glimmer of hope. The constant looking like things are going our way before the crashing and burning is worse.
  2. Not taking any injuries or trades of current players into consideration, 0%. Maybe less.
  3. Because most managers would have answered with, "He flat out sucked and I screwed up by starting him today."
  4. The Brewers. Such a trash franchise.
  5. Ya, Sogard wasn't added to the 40 man until May or so, well after Scooter was gone.
  6. I know we're taking this harder than the players are but I hope they all realize how utterly disgusting and embarrassing this series was.
  7. Although it doesn't 100% apply, a good friend of mine once said, "defense doesn't matter when you can't score a run."
  8. Please explain. Craig is trying to derail the season obviously.
  9. Yup. His rotation manipulation was a signal to the team that this series didn't mean anything. It's subtle messages like that destroy a team's momentum. Oh please.
  10. Perez has hit leadoff a few times. It's maddening and in no way defendable.
  11. I'm not really tracking that logic. We've never had an abundance of OF depth before and it's also fairly common for power hitters to move from the OF to 1st base as they age. Santana's 24 years old and Braun is starting to age, but we finally had viable 1st base options. I think the reason it wouldn't happen(especially with regard to Braun) would be more because of what we have at 1st base rather than any trepidation to move him. And with regard Santana will improve a little bit in RF. It shouldn't be that hard with his athletic ability. He makes some nice plays out there. So at 24 I wouldn't write him off as being a career abyss defensively in the OF. 1B has been a black hole for years and Braun has never really been a good OF. If there was any chance of him playing there, they would have tried by now. Someone before posted that the Astros tried Santana at first at it was a disaster. Stearns would have been there at the time and knows it's not going to work.
  12. I think we all would love Braun or Santana to play first. It gets brought up multiple times a day here. Since it hasn't happened yet I doubt it happens ever.
  13. That's what I was thinking. Seems pretty stupid to burn out your closer trying to win pointless games. But I guess he was a starter and they probably just want him to get work.
  14. Jeff Grayson needs to be fired. He thinks his segues are clever but they are dumb as hell.
  15. I assumed that was the 9th since they brought in their closer and the game was over.
  16. I think we need to realize the Brewers batters aren't doing this. They're finally facing a pitcher who's worse at pitching than they are at hitting.
  17. Whoop de freaking do. No reason for you guys to celebrate. Sit your buts down and figure out how to do that before you're getting blown out.
  18. For all you Garza haters, he's going to throw 6 shutout tomorrow and we'll lose 1-0.
  19. Failure to use data to make decisions. Thames has a 1.408 OPS vs. the Reds. And he sits for Neil Walker at 1B. It's failure to use his eyes. Barnes should have been pulled after the second batter but left him in the implode the inning for god knows why.
  20. How come Craig just randomly manage some games like a total twit?
  21. Disappointed that didn't go out. Homer ends all hope. Now, we're stuck watching this crap thinking we might have a chance to come back. And now take him out after he's done damage.
  22. 45 freaking guys in the bullpen but let's keep the guy who hasn't been able to throw strikes all night in the game. Makes perfect sense.
