  1. Finally clearing out some old junk.
  2. They actually haven't charged me which adds to my confusion.
  3. I'd like the Brewers to get something of value for Lind, but I would also like to see the Cardinals suffer through Mark Reynolds playing everyday. Tough call.
  4. Morneau is a free agent after this season, Lind is not, and Justin is a hard sneeze away from a career ending concussion. I would think Lind has much more value than Morneau.
  5. So I let everything expire and I tried to re-register my domain with another place and it said it was already taken. So I checked out the Whois info and it's still registered to me for another year. I tried to log in to the old host and my account has been deleted. How the hell can I get access to a domain I supposedly own now?
  6. This has been a recurring problem all season long for quite a few years now= the inability to bring in runners from 3rd with less that 2 outs.
  7. When St. Louis played in Milwaukee earlier this year we were sitting in a sea of Cardinals fans. There was, however, one obnoxious, very drunk Brewer fan. About halfway through the game he went on a very loud, yet well thought out rant directed at the Cardinals fans questioning how they can cheer for Peralta but boo Braun. It was a thing of beauty.
  8. Good lord. I don't recall anyone saying firing Ron was going to turn everything around and take the Brewers to the playoffs. The problem is that Ron has been pretty terrible his whole time here and his short comings have been pointed out no matter what the team's record was. The organization is better off without him.
  9. Sorry, BA just doesn't do it for me. No personality. The only time he had any sense of excitement or energy was during the end of the 2011 season. Otherwise he's just a big ole bag of blah.
  10. After watching Dana Eveland pitch in Beloit I thought he would at least be a solid major leaguer instead of the AAAA filler he's been.
  11. What exactly makes BA better than others? I really want to know because he's just boring and vanilla to me. I've heard other teams' broadcasters and there are only a few that seem at all different to me. The White Sox and Red Sox guys are horrible, the Pirates guys are a snoozefest and the Nats have the best duo that I've heard. Everyone else is pretty much the same.
  12. Except for PED's. For some reason.
  13. What? You mean you don't like him joking about how much he sucked as a catcher/MLB player EVERY SINGLE GAME? Seriously someone needs to tell him to stop talking about himself all the time. He compares stuff to his experiences way too much. It is the same stories every time. Sounds like you're describing Uecker.
  14. I honestly don't get what is so great about Anderson. Is it just that he's not Darron Sutton?
  15. He was upset with the Braves, not the umps. And while, yes he broke the rules, that's just not something opposing managers are going to point out. Heck, even La Russa allowed Kenny Rogers to pitch with an obvious hunk of something on him during the World Series and Tony all but said that he's ok with it because his own guys do it.
  16. Bill Veeck and Milwaukee baseball. Heck, anything with Bill Veeck.
  17. I'm not sure how much of the "better grip" thing is real or just mental. Having pitched 8 years in Wisconsin spring weather in high school and college, I've never felt like I didn't have a grip on the ball. For me, having a sticky spot on it would make me less confident in where it was going because the ball is going to feel different coming off of your finger tips.
  18. I'm starting to thin out my family's Brewers/sports memorabilia collection. These are the items I thought BF.net would be most interested in but feel free to check out my other items. Make me an offer if interested. I'm willing to haggle. Generic Milwaukee Brewers XL tshirt Milwaukee Skyline Brewers M tshirt Generic Milwaukee Brewers M tshirt Trevor Hoffman 600 Saves S tshirt New Never Worn with tags Brewers 2011 NL Central Champions L tshirt True Fan KC All Star Game Brewers XL jersey Paul Molitor Brewers button Don Money mini bobble Samkon Gado Packers 2XL jersey
  19. Agreed. What I don't understand is why Smith was cussing out the Braves' dugout. He cheated. He should be mad at himself. They saw something and it was confirmed to be illegal by the umpires. What were the Braves supposed to do? Let him use pine tar or whatever it was to gain an advantage on their hitters? Because it's an unspoken agreement that managers don't call opposing pitchers on this because their own pitchers are doing it as well.
  20. The question is does Craig have the balls to have every Braves pitcher the rest of the series checked? I'm sure most of his pitchers are using at some point during the season.
  21. Mets would be crazy to deal Syndegaard for Gomez. But then again the Mets do make plenty of perplexing personnel moves This is where the whole trade world gets crazy. When you are looking at mega-talented players, it's tough to figure out the value, and no one wants to be the loser on a deal like this. I don't think it's "crazy" to think that a proven MVP-caliber player with 1.5 years left on a ridiculously low contract should get elite value in return, but I also agree that Syndergaard has tremendous value. Gomez could be a good mid-season trade candidate, as he's the type of player that could get GM's and owners salivating, and also worried that their competition would get him. It's their shot at a franchise-altering deal, so I just hope that if they do trade Gomez they don't blow it. The Mets got Wheeler for a half season of Carlos Beltran. I'm not sure how Wheeler and Syndergaard match up but Gomez has oodles more value than Beltran did at the time.
  22. I didn't realize Jennings was 54 and has worked in baseball his whole life. It's not like he's some kid brainiac with a Doctorate in math who's never touched a baseball like many GM's today, he's actually been around the pro game for 30+ years. In game, he'll do fine. What will be interesting in the stuff we will never know that happens in the clubhouse that will determine how well he actually does.
  23. After firing Mike Redmond, the Marlins appears to be naming their General Manager Dan Jennings and their new manager. Based off of his Wikipedia page, he has no coaching experience except for a year of high school, he never played in the majors and barely played in the minors. Of course this will be seen as Loria being Loria, which it is, but it's also an opportunity to see how someone who has spent basically zero time in a professional dugout can handle the job.
  24. I doubt he'll ever get a major league look but I've always liked Nick Shaw from his video where he talks about his approach at the plate. The .707 career minor league OPS will never get him to the show but that .372 OBP can't be ignored.
