  1. Tried that. I hope not. The other channels we don't get ask me if I want to upgrade when I go to them but MLB Network doesn't. If I call and make a big enough scene will they just give it to me for free? I literally just signed up for Charter three weeks ago. I called them to let them know how upset I was and they didn't seem to care. I said I would be cancelling and they actually said "Well you just signed up and paid for the installation fee". If you call, I would be curious to see if you get any better treatment than I did. Finally got around to calling Charter this morning. Told them how disappointed I was that I was losing MLB Network and getting charged more (our promotional offer just ended) and said I would like to pay less since I'm getting less and was basically told "too bad so sad".
  2. Appleton bars will be taking a hit this summer.
  3. Did Rock just prove my Rockies stealing signs theory?
  4. Been that way for years. Even back to the hey day of Fielder and Weeks.
  5. [sarcasm]This is one of those games where not having a power hitter like Matt Clark on the bench might cost them.[/sarcasm]
  6. Rockies stealing signs? They're hammering everything like they know what's coming.
  7. Oh ya. That's why Schaefer has a new number again. I thought he just wanted a different number every year.
  8. 2015 is just like 2014 so far. Any game I get to actually sit down and watch, they tank.
  9. Have the Rockies never been introduced before a game before? What a mess that was.
  10. Maybin is a RHB, just like the whole starting outfield, and owns a career 87 OPS+. No way would I trade Parra for Maybin.

  12. Ugh. I just tried to download the free trial and it said they no longer support my operating system. Why do things always have to change!?!?
  13. If I just remove my credit card information, and therefore the auto-renew doesn't go through, does anyone how long until I can purchase my domain back?
  14. Do I download it or how does this whole cloud thing work? I'm not a fan of the cloud. I don't trust the cloud. What's wrong with the ground? It's served us well for so long.
  15. It wasn't going to happen in Milwaukee and it's probably not going to happen in Pittsburgh. The only way he gets a shot there is if Alvarez gets hurt or completely falls on his face. Pittsburgh has been dealing with almost the same black hole of first basemen that Milwaukee has since Corey Hart got hurt. And guess who plays for Pittsburgh now?
  16. And the Brewers didn't even wind up being close on any of those three offers... the same will be true with Gomez. Attanasio may show a desire to keep soon-to-be-FA-stars, but he sure hasn't shown the willingness (or perhaps ability) to make realistic contract offers. And, like you note, it's very likely not in the organization's best interest to commit that much money to one player, who'll be on the wrong side of 30. This is the reason Gomez shouldn't be extended. His biggest attributes are his speed/defense and power - the things that start to decline first. If he had plate discipline or was a good contact hitter as well, maybe you take a chance. But with his skills and the reckless abandon he plays with, he is probably going to crash and burn quickly when he starts to decline. Let someone else pay him $20M a year for that.
  17. So I won't need to have internet access every time I use it?
  18. If Parra is on the team, Schafer makes no sense. He'd just be a wasted roster spot.
  19. Gomez will not be signing another contract with Milwaukee. That is almost a guarantee with Boras as his agent. How Harrison or Taylor or any other prospect develops is irrelevant to the discussion.
  20. A client I'm working with gave me their old InDesign files and they were done in Creative Cloud. I'm using CS4 so I can't do anything with them. I don't really need to use the old files as they are mainly just for reference but there will be a lot of things that are taking last year's file and changing dates and times, etc. which would make it easier to use the old files. I've never used Creative Cloud and I don't really feel like paying a subscription for something I've always been able to buy. I also don't understand how it even works. It seems like it would be really slow and just not user friendly at all. Anyone have thoughts on it?
  21. Um, what? Last year there were only 17 MLB players that put up an OPS over .850 and only 1 of them was a 3B. All MLB 3B put up a .715 OPS last year. So why should we settle for average? Why not get way above that average if possible? An .850 OPS is not "way above average." It's superstar level. No Brewer has done that in a full season since 2012.
  22. I think this is a huge point, and it's why I'm not prepared in any way to declare what Segura "is" as a hitter yet. He's probably not a .800+ OPS bat every year, but I also will be surprised if he's actually terrible. A corner IF that has a OPS of .750 is not an option.(and even that seems high for him) It just isn't. This team will suck badly if Segura is our 3B. I don't care how good Arcia or Sardinas is if it means Segura at 3B our offense will suck. Plain old suck. Your 3B has to be getting into the .850 range constantly with over .900 here and there. If he's not, then you need to find someone who can. I don't think Segura is terrible. Just a terrible, horrible, abysmal choice for 3B on any major league club. Heck, his OPS wouldn't be good enough for college teams. Um, what? Last year there were only 17 MLB players that put up an OPS over .850 and only 1 of them was a 3B. All MLB 3B put up a .715 OPS last year.
  23. I would think it goes to Wooten with all the talk about Blazek being used as a starter.
