  1. Looks like Doug Davis is the second starting pitcher!
  2. What kind of contract is Prince Fielder likely to get? One like Matt Holliday (7/120MM) or Mark Teixieira (8/180MM)?
  3. Does anybody still think the second starter could come via trade?
  4. The Cards have a 5 year deal out to Holliday. I see the Cards as the team that is in the way of the Brewers getting to the playoffs or winning the division. I also think that the Cardinals had a lot go right in 2009, especially with their pitching. I'm not so sure that will happen again in 2010. There are a lot of question marks on both teams. I just don't know. I like what the Brewers are doing with their offense, though. Going young and all. That should make the team fun to watch.
  5. I think that Gallardo would give the Brewers a shot to win in any game he pitches no matter who he faces. He's that good. I personall feel this Brewers team wont contend for a WS till there young pitching makes it to the majors. Thats a couple years away. It may be sooner if Braddock can stay healthy, and Rogers gets his act together and also is able to stay healthy. Right now it's hard for me to say this Brewers team is a contender with so many question marks. To many things have to go right on both sides of the ball. Doug Melvin hasn't sold me.
  6. "11:06pm: Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Brewers are "on [the] verge" of signing Wolf to a three-year pact." mlbtraderumors.com
  7. Hasn't Wolf taken a paycut to stay on the west coast? So, Isn't the odds way better that he signs with a west coast team?
  8. I'm thinking about getting 2-20 game packages for 2010. I had a 9 pack in 2008 and when I was able to buy playoff tickets the only available seats were in upper deck. How do they determine where fans will sit in the playoffs? If I were to get 20 game fans choice package will I be able to get better seats? Does my regular season seating location affect my playoff seats? Any info would be awesome. Thanks.
  9. CC says hi lol... It's a long shot, but who knows.
  10. I dont want washburn either...
  11. I think the Brewers Should offer Lawrie/Gamel/Parra for Halladay. That I think will be a very attractive offer. Give him 20-25 million a year. He is worth it.
  12. Ok. This is what I would do if I were Doug.. Sign Lackey Trade for Bucholtz (I have a feeling that Doug Melvin might get serious and offer Gamel, Salome, Bush for him. That's a way better offer then Hardy for Bucholtz... ) Sign Sheets or Duscherer to a incentive deal.
  13. Good point. I listened to that Interview on the Big Show, and he even stated that.
  14. Wooten 1 IP no hits, runs or walks. Struck out 2.
  15. What about Torrealba? He just got bought out. link
  16. Thank you for finding that :>)
  17. Doug Melvin was on the Big show today. There might be a link to the interview. I will try to find it. He said that there have been many young catchers that make a successful jump from AA to the Majors. It isn't uncommon. He said he wasn't looking for a temp Catcher. Lucroy is the Catcher
  18. Doug Melvin is realizing that the Brewers are lacking speed. Not anymore though. The best line-ups have both power and speed. Not one or the other.
  19. Doug Melvin was on the Big Show and stated that Lucroy will get the chance to be the Brewers everyday catcher in 2010. Also said that Salome needs another year in the Minors.
  20. I would seriously consider Nolasco. He is a pitcher that just simply had a bad year in 2009.
  21. It will take a lot. I'm not even sold that the Red Sox even want to trade him... I'd hope that the Brewers could entice the Redsox with a deal centered around Gamel and Hardy and some pitcher. I don't know if that's possible though.
  22. I look at it as they have the highest probability of making the playoffs, then any other team in the Majors. I also believe that when you get to the playoffs anything can happen.
  23. Very possible. I really think that Braddock will do well for the Brewers bullpen/long relief. He could be very valuable there. I think either one is a good possibility.
