  1. They started almost all their lefties anyways. Had we started Woodruff there is no way Freese would be batting third--and we took advantage of that.
  2. I assume that Miley will start game 6 too. Love this move if that is the case. Screw with the Dodgers starting lineup!
  3. If Moose is a decent bunter and he's facing a lefty with the shift on, he should absolutely bunt if there isn't anybody out. I don't remember if that was the case last night.
  4. There is no evidence of clutchness. There are plenty of outliers both ways. The odds of Daniel Carlson missing that 3rd field goal at Lambeau a few weeks back were a lot higher than it would have been if he had made the first two. Only a robot might think otherwise.
  5. I'd start Cedeno then go to Davies/Woodruff to get into the 8th and turn it over to Jeffress. Start Miley in game 6.
  6. What a time for a first post! Welcome Only if we win. If we lose, you know that you can never come back.
  7. yep. I ain't complaining being up 2-1 and tied 1-1 in game 4, no matter who has been good or bad for us...
  8. Not when you have Jennings and Anderson and Broxton and Thames available to replace him... unless you really think he is crucial to be on the roster for the World Series.
  9. The best part about this type of post is thinking about all the people out there who are actually unhinged and lack the patience and aptitude to write out a post on the internet... you're fine...
  10. It has more to do with strategy than anything else. The Dodgers started all their righthanders and we have a bunch of well rested quality right handed long guys/starters in the bullpen who need work, so it makes 0 sense to hang with the mediocre lefty for any longer than absolutely necessary.
  11. It's not like the organization "owes" it to Gonzalez to give him a shot or something...
  12. Gio seems to think there better be I wasn't joking. Would anybody be disappointed with bringing in any of our 4 right handed long guys sitting in the pen to face Machado now?
  13. I think this one might be crazy. Offenses break out for both sides in a big way. Extra inning 11-10 type game.
  14. I know its kind of silly. But there some guys, like Granderson, who don't need to see regular ABs to have a quality pinch hit appearance. Even if Schoop goes 0 for 3 with 2 Ks today, getting those ABs will likely make him a better hitter off the bench the rest of the series.
  15. I feel more comfortable with Schoop starting than sitting on the bench. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will come up with a big pinch hit in big spot after sitting on the bench for 2 weeks. Basically, if you are going to have him on the roster, you might as well start him.
