  1. Max Klesmit is an awesome unsung hero for this team.
  2. It's not a weakness of this team either. This is a very strong, balanced offensive team. If they can get in the paint and get to the line there isn't a NEED to set up 3 pters. I'm comfortable with everybody shooting them except for Wahl and Gilmore.
  3. Offense looks good except for all the lazy TOs. D not bad either except letting Sandfort get loose a couple times. It sure feels like UW would have to (continue) to really play poorly to lose this one. So it'll prolly be close🤐
  4. I think there has been a few non-conference games where only FranCon 4 was reached...but that may have been in his Iona days, so not sure if that counts. How many man-seconds (like man-hours) will be spent by his players and coaching staff physically restraining or cutting off his pathway to accosting an official? If only his players were as effective at staying between their man and the basket, then maybe Iowa would make A sweet sixteen or win A B1G title.
  5. Good to know you Toure...
  6. Love is 1.5 games away from a big paycheck
  7. Wow...gutsy call...and a good call. Wide wide open.
  8. C'mon....everybody knows that Favre learned everything he knew from that great Alabaman, Bart Starr...so technically, Love owes all his success to Bart Starr.
  9. Those quotes were something else. The entire lack of humility and understanding the situation well after the fact is a little disturbing.
  10. Looking better this set.
  11. Rough start. Texas out-serving us big time in the first half of the set. UW had to scramble way too much. Trying to scrap back into it now.
  12. UW faces off against Texas in the national semi-final right about now. Good Luck to the ladies. It's a good watch.
  13. I'm not worried about the 3 pt shooting. Wahl and Gilmore can't shoot. Everybody else can knock it down even if the numbers aren't quite there YET. They have been there in the past, and pretty much everybody should positively regress to their true percentage (except for Crowl...who can shoot 33-35%+ if he only takes the ones like he was given last night)
  14. I don't really buy Milwaukee being that small of a market, as I think the entire state is more homogenously one culture and pro MKE than other states (except for those states that only have ONE major market...like MN, CO, Washington). So, GB/Appleton/FRV, Madison, Racine, etc... are basically lumped together in the same fanbase/market. States like Missouri are divided between Kansas City and St Louis markets...Ohio, PA, same thing. Jacksonville and Miami might as well be on separate planets culturally. (Except for NBA basketball. The Bucks just don't translate to the rest of the state)
  15. Just a massive, 0 complaint road B1G victory.
  16. lol. game threads gunna game thread
  17. This UW team is good.
  18. For a week, maybe... @MSU and @AZ will likely knock them out. Which is fine. This team is good and it's probably better if nobody thinks they are good.
  19. Also, there is a reason Wisconsin likes big guys who are fundamentally sound. Just a dominant performance on the glass today, very similar to the Virginia game.
  20. I keep hearing this...but did you see Max Klesmit score 21 pts in the first half?
  21. I think the ceiling is high for this team no matter what happens today. Heck, after re-watching much of last years victory at MU, the ceiling for LAST years team was pretty high. Hopefully Gard will push the right buttons to actually realize that ceiling.
  22. Let's get it on. Marquette is the better basketball team this year. They were the better basketball team last year too. It's basically a pick 'em according to the numbers, but it sure seems like UW should be a home dog. I'll be surprised if either team wins by more than 5.
  23. Jeffrey Leonard is the best thing to happen to this site since WHOAA SOLVVD
  24. Who cares if there are more bowls? You don't have to watch them. It's great for the kids and hardcore fans of any program that gets to practice more and play more games. It doesn't water down the better bowls in the least, as they still exist and still face off against the same teams they would be facing off against if the lesser bowls didn't exist. Of course the Motor City Bowl isn't a national event...but what would be on TV instead? Re-runs? bowling? Shrug. I say let them all play, but If you aren't .500 you can only play 1st, 2nd and 3rd year players🙃
  25. Oh. I was at the game, didn't hear the announcers 😎
