  1. I remember when like 2-4 posters made a lot of noise about it....but apparently they left...
  2. John Doar? (he was friends with my Grandpa...(everybody should watch the movie "Mississippi Burning"))
  3. This is pretty much true. I have lots of teams that I cheer for and 'kinda' like and I 'hope they win this game I'm watching'...But I'm only emotionally invested in 1 team from each sport...well, in baseball, football, and college bball, The Bucks fall into the teams I like but just don't really care about. No matter how much I try, the love just isn't there. I kinda like the Twins now that they are in a different League from the Crew. But it's not like I'm ever going on Twins Daily (except maybe today and tomorrow).
  4. Because most good teams have a good bullpen which is used when they are ahead, making scoring difficult. This works two-fold, in that you want a lead early so you get to emply your shutdown relievers at the endgame AND the other team does not get to use its shutdown relievers.
  5. When in doubt, the Brewers lean towards defense. I think they are similar offensive players. Also, maybe they just really liked Blalock and The Sox would only do the deal for Urias.
  6. Right. He's been fine/good in his role. To be fair the discussion should probably be about Gasser and Chafin as Misiorowski and Wilson are each in a different class.
  7. Meh. Avisail Garcia and Hunter Renfroe and Eric Thames and Mike Moustakas and Yas Grandal were just fine with Milwaukee, Jesse Winklesuck and Andrew McSucktion were bad adds. Guys like Aguilar, Adames, Ji-Man Choi, Dan Vogelbach and Rowdy Tellez have been a mixed bag, but Rowdy still has some time to recover and use the injury excuse. Overall I wouldn't say MKE has been a poison to newly added hitters. Canha and Santana have another 6 weeks to prove themselves...
  8. As long as neither are sent back down this year they won't burn an option. If the plan would be to keep them in the minors at least thru next April/May then starting their clock isn't a big deal either. I think the upside would be worth it (at least for Gasser...Mis might be too young/green)
  9. I would love it if Mis and Gasser are bullpen arms for September and the postseason. What is the downside? They get experience as the 6th/7th guys out of the pen. If they flourish, awesome! if they suck, so what? Chafin and Wilson already suck, and by no means would a few bad relief outings stunt their growth. Next Spring they will be back on the starter track anyway.
  10. Why do so many teams have the day off this Sunday (Aug 20th)? I can't remember any team ever having Sunday off...
  11. No problem. As I said, get DWill ready just in case.
  12. Basically a collective stroke that has triggered a mass anxiety attack.
  13. Okay fine...Chafin might be washed...🤐
  14. C'mon now...it's not like CC is throwing Alex Claudio out there. Chafin is a very successful vet and the Brewers are up by 5.
  15. I like your reasoning with the off days next week. But I wouldn't have a problem with DWill just warming up and getting loose "just in case" and making sure he is available both weekend days.
  16. There was an out on the play...an easier out than throwing home with a necessary tag.
  17. He ended up not scoring...perhaps he would have had he gone on contact? And saved an out in the process/ It's not like Monasterio has been perfect throwing home this year...
  18. The home team sets all game times. I'm sure they can be persuaded by TV or other influences, but ultimately it is up to them.
  19. The Dodger are good enough...they don't need all this BS.
  20. Wow. What an outing by Houser...although he will likely give up a 3 run homer soon. I thought JDMs pop fly down the line was going to be the one.
  21. Just 8 more innings like the first. No problem.
