  1. I guess Jacobsen likes surprises...at this point, whoever he says he is committed to tomorrow means nothing...heck...even after he enrolls and practices for a few months he might be gone anyway. College recruiting is annoying these days.
  2. Not exactly sure about the tone of this post, but UW has won 2 B1G championships in the last 4 years, so "still" is a bit of an odd choice. Also, I'd say that at this point in the season this team looks more complete with better odds of a Championship than either of those Championship squads at this point in those seasons.
  3. Well, they could easily go undefeated and win the natty if they dropped to D-III. Seriously, though, great start. The news about Yalden taking some time off is disconcerting and a little odd, but the performance of Winter and Ilver as well as the reports of Gilmore's improvement take the sting out of Gus' absence. Blackwell and Storr seem to provide exactly what last years team was missing. Long, strong, athletic wings who seem to be kind of jack-of-all-trade type of players (which as Frosh/Soph means they could end up as Masters of a few trades with no weaknesses as upperclassmen). They should take the pressure off Hepburn and Ess3gian and let those two let the game come to them rather than have to force things like they had to do last year. I'm optimistic.
  4. On their 2 successful, drives, yes. but it is more of a commentary toward the shat here....
  5. Not against the Raiders. RUN THE GDAM BALL
  6. Good D stand there. Now come back and RUN THE GDAM BALL.
  7. Huh? That's basically what was insinuated...ALWAYS run the offense out there and if you have a good/well trained QB he takes a look at the defense and decides whether or not to snap it or take the delay of game and punt....again...nobody KNOWS that the "play" was to decidedly try to draw them offsides. It may very well be a read by the QB.
  8. Exactly....there is ZERO risk to running the offense out there and taking a delay of game...until all of a sudden they snap it and get the 1st down. Again...this isn't a minimal risk play, it's a ZERO risk play/attempt.
  9. Meh. There's no reason not to try;
  10. Yeah. When a section is full and you aren't sitting on the aisle, don't move until between innings. If you are returning from the restroom or concessions wait at the top in the concourse until the inning ends. They really need to put this message on the big screen, and Ushers need to enforce holding people at the top until the inning ends.
  11. Meh...I enjoyed the positivity. Might have been the first one in 147 posts.
  12. Milner should face Carroll the next time he is up.
  13. I think they just hope and pray Pfaadt turns it around rather than burn their pen up against Burnes. Changes if they score some runs soon...
  14. You won't be able to get anything on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 with JUST the ESPN+ prescription. You need to have a tv subscription for those channels (or do the sketchy pirated freebie websites). As others said, youtubeTV and FuboTV both have free previews for a certain amount of time. And Sling is the cheapest option but not quite as quality of an experience as those. OR upgrade your Hulu subscription to Hulu+live tv. Good luck.
  15. You know what he means. It should have been prefaced as "I shouldn't make assumptions" rather than "I'm not making assumptions" but whatever.
  16. Don't they play baseball though? I doubt Craig has been able to catch (m)any of their games over the years.
  17. One example--Edwin Diaz got 5.1M and he missed an entire pre-arby year to injury. Hader made 4.1M.
  18. Yeah. Josh was pure nails during his pre-arby years being used for multiple innings at any time during high leverage situations. I remember him saying he's willing to pitch whenever his name is called and he'd do whatever the Brewers want him to do. When arby time came and his numbers basically showed he was the best reliever in the league, he should have been compensated for that (relative to other 1st year arby relievers). When he wasn't paid like that purely because of some stupid stat like "saves" and that stat is 100% based on how a team uses a player, that's pretty cold. I don't begrudge Josh chasing saves after that,
  19. Too late. Freddy is going to be pitching on strange rest unless they give him a BP/simulated game today and start Miley in game one. I heard that Woodruff pitched a simulated game yesterday. If Burnes and Woody are to stay on their 5 day rest schedule then they would be scheduled for games 2 and 3 respectively. I hope this is the case and that Freddy starts game 1.
  20. Poison Sal Frelick's breakfast.
  21. Is there any chance that somebody other than Burnes starts game 1? It seems weird to me that the Brewers have given the starting staff at least 5 days off between starts nearly all year long and then would switch to 4 days off literally right before the playoffs. Like, maybe Peralta doesn't pitch again this regular season but starts game one, then Burnes and Woody for games 2 and 3 (if necessary) on normal 5 days rest. I'd even be tempted to start Miley for the first time thru the order then bring in Peralta...or vice versa.
  22. The whining around here won't stop until we don't play the Cubs.
  23. LOL, yes, everybody just needs to look in the mirror before their ABS...Who are they, Taylor Swift?
