I was wondering what happened to his glasses.... [sarcasm]But its time to trade him. He gave up a run today... [/sarcasm] [sarcasm]Nah, who would even take a scrub like him? Clearly we have no choice but to DFA him[/sarcasm]
I can see him getting a pass this season. Considering that so many batters that struggled this season, a lot of hitting coaches would be struggling as much as Haines is. Who would we replace Haines with, considering that a lot of people were on the same boat this season?

It's a shame that we weren't able to get a whole season this year. It would've been a more fun year had we seen this version of Burnes since the spring as opposed to later in the summer. I'm also curious as to how his numbers would end up looking over a full season as opposed to half a season.
If he turns out to have a K-Rod esque career, then that 2013 draft would look a lot better. Perhaps he can be the next closer if Hader gets traded in the offseason?
A part of me is curious whether he'll find success as a starter in the future, but at the same time he seems to be thriving in the bullpen, so why fix what's not broken?
Less than 10 min to go until the deadline. Unless Stearns is pushing for the literal last minute, it's not looking like anyone's willing to pony up for Hader.
3 low-level pitchers. If any of them is within the Phillies' top 30, I wonder if one of them is Mick Abel. It also wouldn't surprise me if these guys are guys we've never even heard of before.
Seems like news on the Padres' front seems to have died down after getting Clevinger. Considering how Stearns is extremely tight-lipped, I wonder if there's something going on behind the scenes...
If there’s one team that’s remotely likely to land Hader, it’s the Padres. However, it is entirely possible that Preller considers the top 5 guys in the farm system to be untouchable, at least for a reliever.
That's... actually a lot less than I expected. That still would leave their farm system intact. I wonder if Preller's been saving the guys at the top of the farm system with Hader in mind, knowing that he's gonna be the toughest nut to crack this time around.
I think it's just the opposite, actually. They are obviously all in on challenging the Dodgers this year. They built up the talent in their farm system exactly for this reason, and now they are emptying it. I'd imagine that they'd have to give up a king's ransom for Clevinger. I wonder if they even have enough left to get Hader.
