  1. I agree this was an excellent game, in fact it was a very good series overall. A spilt with LAD outscoring the Crew 13-11 for the series. The minimal action in the game thread is probably due to the Brewers playing really well so the "vocal constant complainers" don't have much to say...
  2. I'm sure Sixto will compliment Yelich for coming back from 0-2 to a clean single to RF......
  3. Agree w/Brewcrew82, the only game in the series where the pitching matchup clearly favors LAD is tonight. I'm hoping for at least a split (hopefully 3/4)
  4. In fact I just looked and they are -185 on Draftkings today
  5. Jopal78 - The Brewers have been negative money to make the postseason all year. I'm not sure where your seeing them at +320, but I have a really hard time believing that is accurate
  6. I haven't looked at the numbers either, but I disagree. My eye test tells me Rowdy saves this infield quite a few throwing errors. His range is below average, but otherwise I think he has pretty good hands
  7. Also, I believe the $4.5 Million everybody is citing is heavily incentive based. It's not like he get paid that if he doesn't pitch for the Brewers
  8. I am fine with them not on Gallo. I remain hopeful, probably unrealistically, that they can put together a deal for Reynolds...
  9. I also believe Cruz was DFA'd after we traded him, so any team could have had him for free. IMO it's tough to hold that against the Brewers when literally the whole league passed on him before he broke out
  10. I just don't see what some of you see in TT. He, at best is 4th OF IMO. He has been given plenty of opportunities and is a very streaky hitter. As far as his defense goes, I know some metrics see him as above average, but as a CF he definitely is not a plus defender. Stearns should absolutely be looking to upgrade at CF before the deadline
  11. I'm not sure I agree about Tellez. He is an above average defender who consistently hits the ball hard. He has hit multiple balls with high exit velo that have been outs so far this year. I would guess he hits 25+ HR with an 800ish OPS if he gets 550-600 AB's
  12. Playing Taylor in CF in Pittsburgh is a mistake. There are a few parks where playing Cain in CF should be automatic and PNC is one of them. I know Lorenzo is struggling offensively, but Taylor has done nothing in 2022 indicating he is a viable starting option My mistake - I misread the lineup as I see TT is starting in RF with Cain in CF
  13. I know this likely won't be a popular take, since many on this board love him, but I just don't understand the Tyrone Taylor love on this board. To me, he is just a guy that is a backup on many major league rosters. If he is playing a huge role on your team, you're likely not very good. He has been a 4A player most of his career for a reason
  14. Brewers in 4 Philly in 4 Tex in 4 Det in 5 Philly in 6 (hope I'm dead wrong) Tex in 6 Phillies in 6
  15. Milw 2-1/2-1/2-1/2-1 (95-67) STL 2-2/2-1/2-1/2-1 (89-73) Atl 2-1/1-2/1-2/1-2 (91-71) Arz 1-2/2-1/2-1/2-1 (94-68) NLDS Arz @ Philly Atl @ Crew
  16. 13-11 so far this month...with three games left against Houston. Should be 15-12 at the worst (hopefully 16-11)
  17. The Gateway Redbirds site has many unhappy Classy fans as well. This trade is viewed as "horrible" by the majority of STL fans
  18. I really don't see Option A as a realistic option. The Mets are going to ask for the moon for Reyes (or more likely keep & sign him to an extension). Accordingly, if Reyes is not dealt, Hardy will likely become too expensive. I see Brendan Ryan as a very likely candidate - excellent glove, below average offensive player. Current Year OPS 612/Current year WAR 1.6 (surprised it was that high). I would also not be surprised to see DM go after Clint Barmes who is having a decent year yet shouldn't cost much to acquire from Houston
  19. Just a thought...with the addition of K-Rod to the bullpen, does this potentially put more SS on the table if the Brewers would now deal someone like Loe or Hawkins plus a mid-level prospect for a higher level SS. A few possibles...Alexi Casilla/Trevor Plouffe (MIN), Eduardo Nunez (NYY), Erick Aybar (LAA), Stephen Drew (ARZ), or if you want to think really out of the box Hanley Ramirez (FLA). I didn't check the contracts or minor league situations for these teams, I just wonder if DM won't flip some potential "excess arm" in the right deal
  20. Nice selective stat picking...Despite this "hot streak" AE OBP is still under .300 and he has no power. Trading him (as part of the package) for Greinke was not a mistake. The only impact player that KC received is still in A/AA. Escobar, Cain, & Jeffress are nothing to lose any sleep over
  21. 16-11.. Home : 9-4 Road: 7-7 The key to the whole month is to try to go at least 5-6 on the long road trip. (Col-Split/Arz-Split/SF-1 of 3).
  22. I realize CC struck out the side...but he did throw 20 pitches in the 1st inning which hopefully will help later in the game
  23. He was truly a class act... At Twins spring training in Fort Myers last year he picked three young boys out of the crowd to come talk to him and Ron Gardenhire as the Twins were going through some basic drills. The interesting part was all the boys were about 10 years old; one with a Twins hat, one a Red Sox hat, and one a Brewer hat (my 9-year old son). After briefly talking to the boys he autographed a ball for each of them, gave them each a brand new Twins hat and sent them on their way. My son's second favorite team since that day is the Minnesota Twins. RIP Harmon.
  24. After that BB to Kotsay, both Yuni & Mark have the same OPS (.606). BF.net must now hate that number http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
