  1. In the 2018 start for the Indians (Sept. 25 vs. White Sox) he threw 60 pitches, and in the 2019 start as a member of the Reds (Sept. 4 vs. Phillies) he threw 89 pitches. One other bit of hope is Bauer has been slightly better on the road this year than at Great American Ballpark. The biggest difference is that he's given up more home runs at home (6 HR over 96 plate appearances) versus on the road (3 HR over 153 plate appearances). By the way, all three of his road home runs were given up to the Brewers this year.
  2. The Phillies lost twice to the Nationals yesterday so their intradivision record is now 20-19 with one division game left today against the Nationals. After the Brewers win yesterday their intradivision record is 17-17.
  3. Yes! We have achieved peak optimism. BTW I agree, the 9th time’s the charm!
  4. It doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme, but watching the Pirates just hit a walk off home run on the Cubs was fun. Raise the Jolly Roger!
  5. At this point I just want them to find a way to get in. If it’s the Dodgers, I’ll take it. In a three game series the opponent becomes a lot less important, so many things can happen over 2-3 games no matter the talent gap.
  6. There are currently FOUR teams from the NL Central in the playoff field.
  7. Well they were in a bases loaded jam, but the only run they gave up was the extra innings inherited runner on 2B and it wasn’t an earned run, it came on a throwing error. Their offense now has a chance to tie or win it in the bottom of the inning.
  8. It amazes me how Vogelbach just flicks his wrists at a ball and it’s a 99-mph exit velocity. I hope the DH is here to stay.
  9. Well IF the Brewers find a way to win this game at least it’ll be crushing for the Reds who probably should be up by more than one run at this point.
  10. Second infielder with an error already. You must have better defense behind Anderson or it’s going to go off the rails in a hurry.
