  1. Not sure if Rasmussen is a multi-inning reliever but I guess we’re about to find out.
  2. The bottom of the order has outperformed the top of the order for much of the season thus far.
  3. Padres fans are convinced that their organization has altered Davies pitch mix to turn him into more of a strikeout hitter. By all accounts (I’ve seen) they’ve taken full credit for the team creating Davies 2.0.
  4. clancyphile. He hasn’t come around in a while, but you’re right in that he was the #1 BF.net believer in both Brent Suter and Drew Rasmussen.
  5. Houdini act completed! Nice effort from Rasmussen. DUE UP: Vogelbach Gyorko Urías
  6. Brewers just can’t get out of their own way this season. I wish they’d either just be truly awful or be better, because I can’t take much more of this level of performance.
  7. Grisham just took Kershaw deep to tie their game versus the Dodgers if anyone cares. Also had an incredible bat flip to go with it... ...and definitely told the Dodgers dugout what he thought of them on his way from 3rd to home. Dropped some F bombs on them.
  8. Not much more room for error now. At least they get out of that inning still holding the lead.
  9. The ironic thing about Counsell pulling Arcia from SS for this game is Orlando was the only Brewers player to have hit a home run off of Ponce de Leon coming into tonight.
  10. Walking Rangel Ravelo to load the bases is suboptimal, IMO.
  11. Gyorko is the perfect cure for Cardinals’ devil magic. Curse reverse.
  12. I feel like they should turn the broadcast strike zone 180 degrees. It’s resembled the shape of a shoe box this season than an actual strike zone.
  13. Wow, they are absolutely playing with fire but so far it’s worked out.
  14. This would be a good time for a Christian Yelich Keston Hiura extra base hit. Edit: The batting order being different from the first game is messing me up, apparently.
  15. Surprised they DFA’d Supak who I thought had a chance to be a long-term contributor for the major league club, but I’m also torn in that McKinney is the exact type of mid-20s hitter they should be taking a shot with.
  16. Yeah, he’s actually been very good for the Cardinals so far this season.
  17. The four seamer is the pitch he got crushed on last year. He’s only been throwing it 3% of the time this year.
  18. Having 5 of the first 6 hitters strikeout isn’t an ideal start.
  19. If Burnes can be perfect through at least 7 tonight I really like their chances.
  20. Corbin Burnes: Batter (Cardinals) vs Pitching Stats Daniel Ponce de Leon: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  21. The biggest at bat towards salvaging the season goes to.. Jace Peterson Edit: Good job to comeback from 0-2 to work a walk.
