  1. Brett Anderson: Batter (Indians) vs Pitching Stats Shane Bieber: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  2. Based on his post-game comments, it was definitely that he couldn’t believe it went out. He said he was sure it was a lazy pop fly off the bat. It was an incredibly lucky home run, the exit velocity was just 90.6 mph off the bat.
  3. It’s going to be tough sledding tomorrow against Shane Bieber, but hopefully the Brewers bring some serious plate discipline to the park. Need to find a way to work counts and get Bieber out of the game with a few innings to go.
  4. Yes, 75th percentile sprint speed for Mathias. Definitely one of the best possible options on this year’s squad.
  5. Well Mathias with an opportunity to sting the organization he was developed in.
  6. Really need Yelich to come through here. I think Yelich needs it as much as the team does.
  7. Including two doubles! Baseball is a tough game to make sense of some days.
  8. Maybe but there's been an awful lot of love for Urias on this site and the more you just look at the numbers, the more you realize they're pretty much the same player offensively with a major advantage to Arcia defensively. But he is 3 years younger then Arcia and had a better hitting profile in the minors. Well Arcia has shown some tangible improvements, and Urias absolutely should not be compared to him at this point in his career. Edit: I typed this before I saw the Arcia home run.
  9. I loved that show, but the final “bonus round” was effectively the same odds as winning the grand prize on the jug toss at the county fair. Close, just a little more wild than that.
  10. Just four days into Craigtember the Brewers have reclaimed a playoff spot. Updated playoff standings/matchups below...
  11. The Indians have had a lot of difficulty developing passable outfield hitters recently. Bradley Zimmer is probably the one that is the most surprising to me. He looked like he was safe bet to be a major league hitter, but now he’s nearly 28 years old and can’t crack an MLB roster that includes Delino DeShields Jr., Jordan Luplow, and Oscar Mercado in the outfield mix.
  12. Hardest hit ball of the game so far for either team was the last Luis Urias’ single (107.4 mph). Hiura’s HR was 106.6 mph according to Statcast.
  13. [sarcasm]If Taylor was by far the best player in Appleton, how ungodly bad must’ve the rest of those dudes been?[/sarcasm]
  14. Haines yelling at the home plate umpire along with this phrase seems like a very meme-able opportunity.
  15. In my defense they really should only have 2 right now, but glad the jinx worked. Corbin was nearly perfect on top of it. Hitting has to be hard when the ump calls chin high strikes, lol, the Raptor will take it. He prolly threw the pitch before the ump was looking. Appreciate the jinx being in full effect tonight. The Brewers have 12 hits so far, and have had some very hard contact. This is the team we were all hoping for this year that is indeed very fun to watch tonight.
  16. I don’t completely understand why they’re using James Karinchak in the 8th inning of a 4-run game, but here’s to a high pitch count inning to start the weekend for the Indians best reliever!
  17. Just realized that Justin Smoak rated as the second slowest player in MLB this year ahead of only Albert Pujols (per Statcast sprint speed for 2020). Gyorko is the 7th slowest player. Vogelbach is 25th slowest which is very close to Omar Narvaez (31st). Braun and Sogard are near the bottom in sprint speed this year as well. The Brewers appear to have one of the slower collections of position players in baseball.
