  1. Vogelbach’s approach has been what I thought Narvaez was going to possess this season.
  2. Vogelbach with a great approach extended the inning, and thank you Kris Bryant for missing that foul pop up! Oh, and good job Brauny as well.
  3. Any bets on what inning Peralta’s pitch count will surpass Hendricks?
  4. That Brent Suter backward barrel role off the rubber was phenomenal. LOL.
  5. Great charge and barehand throw on that play by Urías. Seems like the Brewers have allowed less infield hits lately.
  6. Even with the Hiura base hit, Hendricks threw just 8 pitches in the 1st inning, all strikes.
  7. Suter’s first six pitches result in strikeouts of Happ and Bryant. Not bad. Edit: Strikes out the side in the 1st.
  8. Per Adam McCalvy: The Brewers have scratched Brett Anderson with a tight right hip. Brent Suter is starting. Suter to start what’ll be a bullpen game.
  9. Well they’ve apparently only had 5 of those type of outings in franchise history including the last two games... LINK
  10. That was discussed, but they went with a specific seeding system instead. The three division winners get the top three seeds (#1-#3), the second place teams in each division get the next three seeds (#4-#6), and the two remaining teams with the best records get the “wild card” seeds (#7-#8).
  11. Brent Suter: Batter (Cubs) vs Pitching Stats - Brett Anderson has been scratched; Brent Suter will start Kyle Hendricks: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  12. Via Curt Hogg: Through the first 8,170 games in Brewers franchise history, only three starts were made of 7+ IP, 0 R, 11+ K, 1 or fewer hits. It's happened now in EACH of their last two games. Baseball!
  13. It’s looking most likely the NL Central champion will get the #3 overall playoff seed, and the 2nd place finisher in the NL Central will get the #6 seed. Meaning, the first round of the playoffs would feature two NL Central teams facing off against each other. I wouldn’t exactly hate the Brewers chances in a 3-game playoff series against the Cubs. One other observation, I think the Brewers will need to finish .500 to make the playoffs. At this point that will require a 10-8 finish going forward.
  14. Sort of speaks to how fluid this situation is when you can go from 4 games under .500 to just one game out of a top 6 playoff spot in a couple of days.
  15. Cardinals lost tonight, so with a win tonight the Brewers could pull within one game of the 2nd place automatic qualifier for the playoffs.
  16. It’s starting to feel like it’s going to take a home run to put a run on the board.
  17. I’d be okay with walking Rizzo to face Contreras. Edit: Just kidding (obviously), just strike Rizzo out.
  18. Good competitive at bat from Taylor after getting some strikes called well off the plate.
  19. Woodruff had a fantastic night, [sarcasm]but he just wasn’t quite good enough to qualify for a win.[/sarcasm]
  20. Here is a race between Garcia, Cain, Gyorko, and Piña using 2019 sprint speed if you’re interested... Brewers Sprint Speed Race Edit: For some reason Pina and Gyorko aren’t showing up now so I changed it to Braun and Arcia instead.
