  1. Of course that plan only works of you don't walk the .103 hitter that comes up next. [sarcasm]Obviously just setting up the double play.[/sarcasm]
  2. Justin Bour fun fact: His favorite city to visit in the majors is Milwaukee (or at least per Yelich he loves Milwaukee).
  3. Well I think we have our answer as to whether they will pitch to Trout this series. I have no problem with them pitching around him the rest of the series.
  4. A couple of thoughts on this series... - Obviously this is the first series in which the Brewers will utilize a DH. They are scheduled to face three of the Angels right-handed starters and the Angels have ZERO southpaws in their bullpen. I am curious to see if they use this as an opportunity to try and get another lefty power bat in the lineup with Thames, or if they utilize the DH for Moustakas in order to get better defense at 2B with Hernán Pérez. The answer is probably a little of both. We will likely also see Thames get a start at 1B this series. - Mike Trout is off to a blistering start for the Angels, as in his best start ever after 40 some plate appearances into a season (leads baseball with 1.2 fWAR). He has also hit home runs in each of his last four games. The rest of the Angels lineup on the otherhand has been mediocre at best (closer to dreadful). Hopefully the Brewers avoid allowing Trout to beat them and force the rest of the lineup to try to produce.

  6. I’ll be honest, I was fully preparing for March and April to be disappointing based on the tough schedule. The fact that they have taken 8 out of 10 from division rivals to start the season is really, really encouraging.
  7. Hader says hello! Yeah, I would be pretty shocked if Hader isn’t out there for the long haul at this point. He hasn’t pitched since Tuesday, will likely go the distance here and be unavailable until later in the week.
  8. I’m pretty sure I’d rather have Hader’s bullpen tosses over what Claudio is throwing right now.
  9. Can’t believe the Cubs have the first two hitters on with such poor contact. Not a good start to the 6th.
  10. Brewers have left 8 on base through 5 innings of at-bats. Hope that doesn’t end up burning them in this game.
  11. Yeah, tip of the cap indeed! That is an incredible story. I have a friend scheduled to receive a kidney transplant later this month, and dealing with that sort of terrible matter kind of puts everything else in perspective.
  12. I can only think of one so far. At least just one with Moustakas at 2B that I remember.
  13. Several missed scoring opportunities thus far, but Hendricks at 75 pitches through 4 innings all but guarantees the Brewers an opportunity to do some damage against the Cubs bullpen later in this game.
  14. From Reds-Pirates after Archer threw at Derek Dietrich for admiring his earlier home run. Here is VIDEO of the fracas.
  15. I am a little surprised Gamel is hitting behind Piña in the order. Maybe to break up the bat handedness lower in the order.
  16. From Jim Duquette referring to MLB Network Radio interview: Matt Arnold Assistant GM of the Brewers in regards to Kimbrel, just told us that they continue to do their do diligence to improve the team but “we do not foresee any additions at this point” from the outside
  17. Davies with two solid innings. I am going have to be deconditioned to believe this game is going to be anything other than “the first team to double-digit runs wins”.

  19. Tyrone Taylor just hit an absolute bomb in the 9th inning to give San Antonio the lead. Taylor has developed the physique and swing of a legit slugger.
