  1. Dish dropped FSNW and others like it due to fee disputes
  2. So you have 1,000 pitchers in the bullpen and yet you let Bush go 120 pitches. Yeah that makes sense.
  3. Again, if that is the line that got him thrown out, you should be able to see right through both Molina and Davidson with as thin as their skin is. Nottso, if I were offended by by the actual meaning of the sentence, you interpretation wouldnt even be a blip on my offensive radar. You would be giving Molina way to much respect metal wise if you think he would have come up with that.
  4. I dont think you could consider this selling out since it would be his home team. If it were the Seattle Mariners or Rockies for example, then yes I could see your argument.
  5. He was on the radio last night and he said the line that got him tossed was "How do you like making a living on your knees" Obliviously you can understand the meaning of it, but nearly enough to get tossed from the game.
  6. Its similar to offering to pay for dinner or something similar knowing full well that the other person is going to object and pay for it.
  7. Castro is pretty baseball dumb. Although on the flip side, Escobar has his own demons, more off the field then anything(see Ex girlfriend).
  8. Like I have been saying, the more money that the Brewers eat of Prince's salary next year, the better the haul. The money used there will be the most important FA money usage.
  9. Its not close based on what? Parra has a 5.65 ERA, Narveson 5.69. I'd say thats close. If you just needed 1 win, go with Parra, and pull him after 5. Based on watching the two pitch the whole year. Sometimes watching a guy gives you a better understanding then his stats.
  10. And Parra continues to use the leverage of the pictures he has of the Brewers organization. If you consider Narverson a failure, what do you consider Parra. And no, just because he is still young doesnt count. He has 3-4 years now and still has shown no progression and I would say that he has actually regressed. If I needed a win, I would pick Narverson 10 times out of 10 over Parra and its not even close.
  11. I dont care if it was against the Brewers, I cant be mad at Matt Stairs. He is my 3TO.
  12. Once you go to a 4 year college you arent eligible for the draft till after your JR scholastic year. He could go JUCO and be eligible after 2.
  13. Well what would say if they offered him what he wanted, if not more. Still a terrible pick. That was my point. Either way it's a big fail.I cant really say its a bad pick, especially if they offered what the Covey's were asking for. If you are told that they will sign for a certain amount and you draft someone on that promise and if you fulfill you end by offering what they asked for, but they end up going back on their word and not signing. Its kinda hard to fault the Brewers here. Now, if they offer less then the 2 mil, then I can see your point.
  14. Correct, that is 2 mil he will never get back, unless he is Strasburg like, his stock can really only go down.
  15. Well what would say if they offered him what he wanted, if not more.
  16. If he doesnt sign because of 2-300,000k, that is just dumb. That is a couple years that he isnt going to get back of money and time in the system, let alone a couple since he will have to go to college/JC. Either way he wasnt going to be in the Majors for a 3-4 years, but you might as well get paid for it. I will also add that I better not here them say that he was set on going to college the whole time. They made it clear that they wanted 2 mil to sign and that he wanted to go pro before and after the draft. This will especially be odd if the Brewers offered 2 mil or more and he still didnt sign.
  17. We are also talking about 3rd base here. Range isnt that big of a factor at 3rd as people make it out to be. Reaction time is more important, and Casey seems to be fine. Even if Gamel reduces his errors to 15-20 a year, chances are that 75% of those are going to be throwing, going of his past history, and those errors are going to be more detrimental to a game then duffing a grounder. This is all a moot point since Gamel is going to be playing First or RF next year. The idea of trading Casey doesnt make sense, when you have him for 4 more years cheaply, plus being able to put a cheap Gamel on the other side. That solves the infield, and you can use that money(7-10 mil saved from Price) to fill other needs.
  18. I will take Casey missing a grounder here and there vs Gamel throwing it into the first row just as often. You also have to factor in that Fielder will be gone, so some needs to play 1b.
  19. He has more value to the Brewers then he would get in return.
  20. To explain what Melvin ment is that when Dickerson does get a hit he is more of a gap hitter then a power hitter, see Lo Cain.
  21. Seeing that Gamel has been playing RF instead of 1st the last week or so, I would imagine that the plan is to move Hart to first.
  22. If they are getting back a trade similar to the Carlos Lee trade, then no, they will not have to pick that much, if any. If they are getting more of a prospect laden trade, then yes, you can bet those teams are going to ask the Brewers to eat some of that salary. If he goes to the Dodgers, you can guarantee that.
  23. Like I said, you should probably factor in 7-8 mil for next year, since what ever team trades for Prince is going to demand this.
  24. Or even better, move both guys and get a real 3rd basemen.
