  1. True, it was a waiver trade.
  2. Again it was widely reported that Mat lacked the desire to better his skills. IIRC he would blow off or decline invitations to get extra work with Willie. As it related to Hall, the Brewers were in a tight spot here. They had a high priced player and in order to salvage some sort of return they needed to play him and hope he did well that he would be worth his contract or in the least bring something back in return in a trade. Sadly neither happened and they were forced to release him. On the bright side, I think they learned from this in regards to Suppan and just stopped playing him and then finally cut the cord.
  3. Gamel sitting on the bench was more due to his lack of putting in the extra work then it was Macha. This has been reported before. Please stop making it out to be some vendetta by Macha. I also wouldnt be surprised if it isnt Gallardo to the DL and and then Cain back down for Davis.
  4. With the All Star break coming up, you could put Gallardo on the DL and have him miss only one start, maybe too. It would also be a good excuse to save him some innings. Congrats to Cain, lets hope he gets out there and proves he belongs.
  5. Not to be cold, but he has no one to blame but himself.
  6. Your right. Thats what I get for typing and looking with one eye and watching the game with the other, but the point still remains. As for Kentrail, I would like to see him hit for some more power, or power at all.
  7. Sounds opening it up behind a 3 run HR by the 3TO v2.0 Joe Koshansky. Katin and Olmedo with 2 RBI apiece too. Express pitcher Sergio Perez not having the best of nights. Replaces the starter who had given up 6 over 6 by going 1 inning and giving up 5 hits and 5 runs.
  8. Someone needs to pull Khris Davis off of A pitching. He is close to being arrested for Man Slaughter.
  9. In their defense, TDC made a pretty big deal out of him dieing when he did. If you were a fan of the show, you knew it had happened.
  10. Duh you are right about the throwing right handed. As for tagging, if you straddle the base, it is the same distance, at least the way I played it. I would bet though that they will at least look for a major league ready 1st basemen in one of the trades they will be making in the coming months.
  11. I would rather leave him at 3rd and move Gamel to First. He is left handed, which for some reason people think is better for first. **Having played 1st for over 25 years in baseball and softball, I can think of any advantage other then holding runners, which the only thing that makes it bad is that you have to stand behind the runner straddling the base instead of being in front of it.**
  12. Narveson is going to get himself taken out if he continues these 15 pitch innings.
  13. $850,000 signing bonus. Hopefully he had some supplemental health insurance, otherwise that signing bonus will be gone. Since they were able to save the leg, I wonder if he would be able to pitch still since he probably wont be able to play football.
  14. Agree, there is a huge difference between 6-7 innings of 122 pitches vs 9 innings of 122 pitches.
  15. And the Brewers do what they do best. RISP with no outs and come away with nothing.
  16. Not only would the Nationals laugh you off the phone, but they would probably try to have you committed for bringing this trade to their attention. Strasburg is going to be, if not already the most talented pitcher in MLB and they have him for 6 years, add that to Bryce Harper and they are sitting fat right now.
  17. 12.2 innings pitched with 12 walks and 8 hits isnt exactly getting guys out. He is just a guy, which sucks for a former #1 pick. Maybe a change of scenery will do him well. That may sound cold, but that is professional sports. I would imagine that the influx of college pitchers that have been added to the system are going to push out a bunch of stagnate veterans of the Brewer's system.
  18. I would also say the reports of him not really willing to put the extra work in to improve his fielding last year soured some people. This was one of the reasons given that he didnt play at much as people would have liked last year.
  19. Have the last few games been in HD? They show on that there is a game on it but when you turn it on, there is only the DTV symbol. Is anyone else having this problem? **As I type this, there is an informertial on ESPNnews and TMC on the FX channel.**
  20. to add to what Wi just said, if a player does start to dominate, then they have tended to get hurt. Lucroy would be the only break out player this year, or you could also add Braddock.
  21. They drafted a lot of easily signed players, ie college seniors with no other baseball options.
  22. Nobody is writing him off. All I said is that I dont think he is a legitimate 1st base prospect.
  23. A legitimate first base prospect would be needed too. I dont consider Gamel a first base prospect.
  24. He threw at least 3 FBs. They were all fouled back. Instead of the CB, I would have gone with FB up and in. The FBs he fouled back were on the outside.
  25. Brewer batters with RISP = 16 yr old boy at a nude beach. Wide eyed and unable to move.
