  1. I said this on the trade board, but for all of those banking on salary relief by trading Prince, dont bet on it. I can guarantee that any team that trades for Prince is going to demand that the Brewers pick up at least half of his salary. The more money the Brewers pick up, the better the deal.
  2. You also need to remember that what ever team Prince is traded to, they are more then likely insist the Brewers pick up half, if not more of his salary(Dodgers being a guarantee to require it).
  3. I really hope the Brewers would do what every other team out of contention tends to do and that is bring up the young guys and let them play. Other then with Fielder, Weeks, JJ, they tend to keep playing the veterans that are not part of the future and thus retarding the growth of the young guys or leaving you with no way of knowing if these young guys can play.
  4. So the Braves got Jeff Francour back
  5. I would take Hermida as a filler for when Hart if/when he is traded.
  6. I think he would be worth a $50,000 bonus as a sort of holders fee. He is a very talented pitcher and given then likely hood of him not playing football, he may be inclined to take the money too.
  7. If Theriot could play the Brewers everyday then that would be great from them.
  8. Bush, Edmonds, Hoffman and Counsell will all get traded sometime in August. The 31st trade deadline isnt really where guys like this are traded.
  9. Are they moving Doumit to another position?
  10. Wow tonight's game makes me jealous of Orioles fans.
  11. People are more angry with the crap that the Brewers keep trying to sell the fans. As if anyone that actually is paying attention believes that they are still in contention.
  12. I would give are up a minor league RP for the chance that Davis gets it. His upside if he lives up to 75% of his minor league stats is a lot higher to me then having a good middle reliever.
  13. I think Davis would be the throw in since Texas would have no use for him for the next two years.
  14. I would put money down right now that if a deal goes down with Texas that Chris Davis is part of the deal, especially with no true 1b in the minors. Add to that he may be at throw in status for Texas. He is similar to how Sexson was in regards to how Cleveland felt about him.
  15. If the Brewers pick up the salary then it would work. The Rangers pushing all in this year, so I could see them makinga deal like this.
  16. Unless someone in the league is crazy enough like Kenny Williams, I would tend to agree.
  17. Russel Branyan says hi from all our hearts.
  18. I wouldnt be shocked if Braddock doesnt see a DL stint here in a bit
  19. Which was 5 months and a shoulder injury ago.
  20. Macha made reference to that last year that he didnt look to do any extra work on his fielding, even when asked by Randolph to do it. Money is implying that Gamel isnt as dedicated to his craft as the coaching staff/organization as they think he should be.
  21. Again this was one of the main reasons that Macha didnt play him last year. He seems to be unwilling to put in the extra effort that is needed to make him a MLB player.
